Trying to change my iCloud apple ID to match my iTunes. Unlike previous question, my iCloud account does not even exist anymore, so I'm not able to sign OUT of it on my phone. I'm stuck because I can't sign in or out of it.
A while back I changed the login that I use for my account. For some reason when I got my new iPhone, iCloud decided to log me in using the older email account. Since it doesn't technically exist anymore, I can't use it to sign into my phone. But I keep getting popups on my phone every minute asking me to log in with my (now non-existant) iCloud account. I'd like to be able to sign out of that iCloud account and sign in with the same email address that I use for my iTunes account. However, I can't even log out of my iCloud account on my phone because signing out requires a password also! What to do?

You may be able to change or reset the password on this old iCloud/Apple ID account, even if you no longer have access to the email address associated with it. Once the password is changed/updated, you should be able to log your iPhone out of the old iCloud/Apple ID account and log in to the correct new account. I understand that you are attempting to reset your Apple ID password. I would try resetting your password via answering the security questions instead of sending the email. I accidentally screwed up my apple id when trying to change my primary email address. Password recovery options and security questions arent working either to restore. Created a new appleid just to get into forums to ask a question but hesitate to sync itunes and iphone with it as i may lose all purchased music apps etc. can anyone help? i have received no email response frm apple support, it's been over 48 hours
I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account. I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there. On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back. Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email. The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option? -
Trying to change reset my Apple ID as I can't remember it, however it is sending an email which says invalid link or a list with the option to change password which can't be clicked on? Can anybody please help? Going around in circles! Grrrrrrrrrrr
Is this your machine or the company's? Machines that came with Snow Leopard or earlier installed come with system and software install disks that can be used to reisntall the iApps that came with the machine orignally.
If this is your machine and it came with Snow Leopard or earlier installed the disk will look slimialr to one of these:
If it is the company's machine see if they have the disks.
Do a custom install and then use Software Update to update iPhoto to the highest version that is available. -

Here are the basic steps to setup port mapping on the AirPort:
AEBSn - Port Mapping Setup
To setup port mapping on an 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn), either connect to the AEBSn's wireless network or temporarily connect directly, using an Ethernet cable, to one of the LAN port of the AEBSn, and then use the AirPort Utility, in Manual Setup, to make these settings:
1. Reserve a DHCP-provided IP address for the host device.
AirPort Utility > Select the AEBSn > Manual Setup > Internet > DHCP tab
On the DHCP tab, click the "+" (Add) button to enter DHCP Reservations.
Description: <enter the desired description of the host device>
Reserve address by: MAC Address
Click Continue.
MAC Address: <enter the MAC (what Apple calls Ethernet ID if you are using wired or AirPort ID if wireless) hardware address of the host computer>
IPv4 Address: <enter the desired IP address>
Click Done.
2. Setup Port Mapping on the AEBSn.
AirPort Utility > Select the AEBSn > Manual Setup >Advanced > Port Mapping tab
Click the "+" (Add) button
Service: <choose the appropriate service from the Service pop-up menu>

Is your phone still signed in with your old iTues ID for iCloud (in Settings>iCloud)?

My e-mail address apple id is different from my icloud e-mail address. The icloud address is an old one that doesn't even exist anymore. I want to make my icloud e-mail to match my apple or itunes e-mail.

The password for your iCloud account and your Apple ID are one in the same, as the iCloud email account is an alias for your Apple ID as well.
After you set up your @icloud.com email address, you can use it to sign in to iCloud. You can also sign in using the Apple ID you used to create your iCloud account.

That's usully symptomatic of a phone that was jailbroken or hacked to unlock it.

Yes, I understand that. But The screen issue is not a result of user damage. The phone was not dropped when the screen got cracked. My daughter was standing in a chair at the table and dropped one of her toys onto the bottom of the phone and cracked it right by the home button. (Nowhere near the LCD/digitizer flex cables, connections, or logic board components) then a few months later my phone had died, I plugged it in, it showed it was charging, then Apple logo disappeared and screen didn't work. AFTER contacting Apple about the issue and them telling me that it "is a result of the very minimal crack to the sheet of glass that has no relation to the LCD or Digitizer and that the warranty does not cover it I had taken it upon myself to change the LCD/digitizer to no avail, as well as backlight ic and backlight coil to no avail. But how do I go about letting Apple know that it is in fact NOT due to the cracked screen nor is it due to the flex cable connections? I can't. So the lady that works the call center phones trying to "convince" me that she knows what she is talking about and "convince" me that it is from the cracked screen I have to take her word because I can't show Apple that its not because of that without paying them $199 to fix the screen in which case they will just send me a new phone rather than fix the faulty hardware under warranty.

Choose "Me" at bottom.
Scroll down
Tap "Account: [youremail]@[youremailprovider.com]
Tap "Sign out."
Then sign in with whatever Apple ID you like.
If this does not work, then there is an issue with your Apple ID account. It would need to be resolved by either
removing any email addresses associated with your Apple ID that is also associated with another Apple ID [like your Dad's Apple ID] at appleid.apple.com [choose "Manage Your Apple ID"]
by going through the Express Lane to revolve miscellaneous issues with your Apple ID expresslane.apple.com.

I have changed my Apple ID when I got a new email address and confirmed it. However when I go to my iPad to buy an app my old Apple ID comes up and will not recognize the password. I tried going into the settings on my iPad and tapping on the old Apple ID to go in to change it but it will not recognize it and I cannot get in on the iPad to change it. How do I change this ID on my iPad for the iTunes store?

Thank you Roger, your solution gave me the courage to sign out of Systems Preferences. The pop up told me it was going to delete my contact and other information from my mac, so I was hesitant to do that. Well I did as you directed and I was able to sign in with my new apple id and I did not lose the information the pop up threatened I was going to. So again thank you. It is the little things that make a big difference sometimes.
