Trying to check eligibility for iPhone purchase

From the Store, Im trying to "Get Started" on checking my eligibility for the $99 iPhone model. However, when I enter my address to go to the next step, it continuously comes back that it cannot find my address.
I've tried several variations (numbers instead of spelling out, abbreviations and whole words) and it keeps returning this way.
Any help?

The easiest and best way to check eligibility is by dialing *NEW# (*639#) from your phone. Or you can go to apple.com/iphone/buy and fill out the form there to find out.

Apple can invoke any policy they want for accepting tender for the purchase of the iPhone or any other product.
It would be interesting if you or I went up to the counter and wanted to buy a Mac and they did accept cash in lieu of a debit or credit card. I believe that would be a "double standard".
Having said that, the real issue I believe and what I read in the information released by Apple in their quarterly report last week is the unlocking of iPhones.
It appears that there has been the development of a "cottage industry" in the business of unlocking the iPhone to the point where the President of Apple (not Steve Jobs) stated that they, Apple, believe that there are at least 250,000 iPhones that have not been activated through AT&T to date, i.e., through September 30, 2007.
How the taking restricting of cash transactions for the iPhone will reduce the unlocking issue is beyond my comprehension. I could buy a number of iPhones two at a time with my debit card and/or my debit card by just showing up at a store a number of times. Just in my area alone, northern Virginia, there are 4 Apple Stores within 1.5 hours of my home.
I have 5 credit cards and 2 debit cards. I could buy 14 iPhones without ever violating the new Apple policy. I guess I could also write a check off of my 3 checking accounts - that would permit me to buy 6 additional iPhones.
Is Apple going to hold credit card or debit receipts to compare how many times an individual purchased an iPhone.
If so, isn't that a potential security problem with regard to having that data around for other than electronic transfer purposes?
There has to be some misunderstanding of the policy if in fact there is such a policy.

Itunes hangs when trying to uncheck encryption for iphone backup.

Itunes hangs when trying to uncheck encryption for iPhone backup. The iTunes software becomes unusable and unresponsive after entering correct password (only set up today) All i want to do is backup my iPhone before trying update to the latest ios. I have tried uninstalling all Apple software and re-installing, all unsuccessfully - still have the same problem! Essentially i have to use ctr+alt+del to even close the iTunes program, so I'm assuming there must be some sort of corruption with the encryption / password setup - neither of which have been used at all, all previous backups are on iCloud and don't have encryption. I obviously don't want to attempt a backup with these sort of issues occurring as i don't think i could trust it. Can anyone suggest a way to fix the problem, Ive tried googling all afternoon without any success - most answers I can find relate to people who have lost their passwords but don't have the software issues i am having.

Further to the issue - i thought I'd try and run an encrypted backup for fun (since that's the only option available atm) and the backup hangs as well - in fact it doesn't even technically start other than saying its backing up. The progress bar never moves at all?

You must Restore the phone. It will probably only worth with an AT&T SIM, unless your friend had AT&T unlock it first. The phone may be jailbroken, also; one indication of this would be the app "Cydia" on the phone's Home screen. If it is the phone is most likely worthless to you.

Trying to make ringtones for Iphone 4

I can't find the duplicate version of my shortened song for the ringtone. It used to work for Iphone 3, I don't know what happened. My import settings are set for AAC, I don't know what's wrong. How can I get those settings back? When I click "convert to AAC version" , I can hear the little chime that lets me know the conversion was happening, but it doesn't show the song under the regular song after it's done converting. All depends on how many people are accessing Apple's servers. You'll find slow downs in the next few days at least. Everyone is updating. Personally, I don't do the download and install in iTunes. I just download the new iOS on to my computer. Then once that's done, I'll do the update directly from my computer using the ispw file I just downloaded. Much faster, no worries of server crashes while updating.

Gift card AND checking charged for same purchase?

I got a gift card and a $50 Credit showed in iTunes. I purchased an app for my new iPad 3 and later some in-app purchases for the same software, which seemed to come from the iTunes store too. Why does a charge show up in my checking as well? Aren't in-app purchases charged the same as any other iTunes buy? Is there any way to push using the gift card credit first?

Is this the first time that you've tried to download anything with the account ? If it is, then unless the instructions on this page are followed when creating an account : Create an iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store account without a credit card or other payment method
then credit card details will need to be entered before the account can be used to download any item from the store. You should be able to remove card details after entering them.

I couldn't find any guidelines to some extent and appreciate if you can help me in clarifying my doubts and share with me on archivng blanket PO, my doubts are: --
1) Are these check criteria can be applied to SUS Purchase Order?
2) Also, does SUS documents also handle PO with limits?

So i deauthorize my PC and then Authorize my Mac so that i can get my music and everything else off my iphone into my new Mac Library in itunes. Well,it still doesnt work. I authorized my new computer to be able to do this i thought. Any thoughts? thank you

There is no option under the "Preferences" in iTunes to "Look for iPhones or iPads."

Every advice on not being able to link my Remote on my iPhone to my pc iTunes states to go to 'Preferences' in iTunes and under the 'Device's tab to check "Look for iPhones or iPads". I have no such option.

No USB, this is done over your wi-fi network. You do have wi-fi at home right? Are your computer and iPhone both connected your network, and the same network? (some wi-fi networks have a separate guest network).

You get one download.
If you have failed to transfer it from your iphone to your computer, then do so. You can then sync it to your new iphone.
