Trying to connect wifi in ios 6
When trying to connect to my home network it keeps trying to open an apple connect log in page that doesn't exist and then wont let me connect, my ipad works fine its just my phone

to those who "ACCIDENTALLY" upgraded iPhone to iOS 6, this is how I did to get my WiFi back before any further iOS update from Apple..
1. turn off WiFi first,
2. please select "flight mode",
3. turn back on WiFi,
4. once your phone connects to WiFi, try to see if it's working by itself without cell phone data,
5. if it is fine, then turn off "flight mode" to reconnect to your cell phone provider
6. you should now have both WiFi on and cell phone 3G now all together..
I am using iPhone 4... not sure if it is working with other models... you can give it a try

Settings, general , reset, reset network settings. If still an issue, then restore your phone from your backup in itunes., Last would be to get a newer iphone, good excuse to have to get a new one.

Good for you that can't update your iphone because I did it and my iphone dosen't work for example I can't download any app like Wecaht or Twitter..

Trying to connect wifi with Directv
I'm trying to sync my AT&T U-Verse router with my Directv internet adapter/router but it appears the WPS (Wifi Protected Setup) has been disabled! Does anyone know how I can connect directv to my internet, I've tried about everything so far!! Thanks
I'm having same issue. Can't connect directv adapter to att wifi. Did you get resolved? I've spent hour on phone and just had second directv tech here and still not fixed...time to work through att. Ugh. Thanks

No dhcp information when trying to connect wifi
My problem is that I can't get a signal to access my home wifi. We have 2 other ipods (same as mine) and they work fine. The network shows up when I go into settings and 'choose a network' but there is no info whatsoever on the DHCP page. I've tried resetting network, switching wifi off and on. The only thing not tried is a full reset. I can connect to other hot spots just not the one at home.
Problem solved - i was trying to put password into 'other network' instead of the one I was already logged into. Thanks for your help anyway lllaass.

My lap hangs when trying to connect wifi network
when I power on the lap, there is no issue with wifi connectivity,but with in 30 to 40 min wifi gets disconnected showing limited signal . We have created two networks on same wifi in our room. When I try to connect to other network lap hangs.also when I power off wifi in lap during this situation ,I am unable turn on wifi again(wifi option blank,unable to select).Even task manager is not getting opened. I should power off lap by holding power button and again power on the lap. When it is on the same thing happens

I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion 15-p077tx Notebook and issues with Wireless. Here is a link to the troubleshooting the Wireless connection. It has some helpful information inside of the document that has helped other. Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system it has built in Wireless troubleshooting assistance. If this continues I would change the Channel on the router. Routers are capable of communicating to your Notebook on several different channels. If your neighbours Wifis on the same channel, your network speeds might have issues. I have searched Microsoft for a fix for this and they indicate on the forums that if you change the router channel to a different channel, this might resolve the connection issue. You could turn off IPv6 for the notebook. Some say this helps. Fix this problem Microsoft Fix it 50413. Here is a link to help as well. Hope this is helpful. Thanks.

ThanksNoooo! Actually I too had d same prob wit my iPhone 4S. When I connect to my wifi network it won't get connected or it wil be grey scaled! I took it to d istore and since I had warranty they replaced my IPhone. It iPad charger has high volt than ur iPhone charger so when u connect wit it, there is a chance where large amount of current passes thru ur iPhone. So for sure it wil damage ur motherboard and its parts! Many said that iOS 6 or 6.0.1 or 6.1 was d reason for tis wifi prob! But apple never made its mistake wit it's software. If and only if u hav hardware prob u wil hav these sort of wifi prob Bluetooth prob! So best way s to replace ur iPhone!

i am trying to connect to my friend's wifi, i have a very strong signal indicated on my ipad, but cannot connect to the internet. Yesterday i connected without any problem, can anybody tell me why i cannot connect today?
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

I just got a new iPod touch 4th generation and I'm trying to connect to my router and my iPod says, 'Cannont find network.' I don't know what to do! No other networks come up on the list so I can't 'tag' along with thier wifi. Please help. I need advice.
What type network is yu router set up for? The 4G iPod can only connect and see 2.4 GHZ networl like B, G and the 2,4 GHz N. There is also a 5 GHz N but the iPod will not even seethat network.

Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
