Trying to coordinate Groupwise, Blackberry and Outlook Calendar appointments

I am attempting to transfer appointments from Novell Groupwise to my Blackberry 8830 and ultimately synch with MS Outlook at home. I set a rule in Groupwise to delegate all appointments to my Blackberry. I receive the appointments and I can accept it (and subsequently enter it in my device calendar). When I try to synch with my home computer, the GW appointments do not transfer. I have also set the device to override the Outlook calendar during a synch but still no luck....any thoughts?

Hi there atwoo1bc,
You may want to look into the Time Zone Support settings on your iPhone. The article below has more information.

I downloaded the icloud software on my computer in order to sync calenders and contacts using Windows 2007, but I keep getting an error message when trying to sync my icloud and Outlook calendars.  I downloaded it for the first time a month ago and  had it working but it stopped syncing, so I deinstalled the iCloud software and reinstalled, but keep getting the error message "Your setup couldn't be started because of an unexpected error.  What do I do now?  Can anyone help with this?

  • HT1692 Help--I need my iphone and Outlook Calendars to talk to each other.

After the last iOS update, my iphone and Outlook calendars are not communicating:
My iphone calendar sends to the gmail account associated with MS Outlook, but not to icloud--it does receive from iCloud.
Outlook does not to go to iCloud, or for that matter, to the gmail account that Outlook is associated with--nor does Outlook receive events from iCloud.
So, iCloud doesn't get stuff from iphone calendar, and after an aborted try at self-fixing, is no longer connected with Outlook at all.
I've tried to work through iSolutions, etc., but can't seem to follow, or match my circumstances, to what is provided. Can someone give me simple, step by step instructions on where my settings should be at all 3 points? I would be very grateful!

  • Problem synching iPod and Outlook calendars

When I sync my iPod (Gen5 60GB) and Outlook calendars, I get a time discrepancy starting October 29, 2006 (the day DST ends). All appointments on my iPod calendar display 1 hour later than in Outlook.
Has anyone else had/solved this problem?

Yes I am having the same issue. I wish I had not upgraded to 7 because not only I am not able to synch contact (all of them and calendar) I also lost all playlists, movies, original contacts, etc. I cannot reach anyone in phone support and the "genuises" in the store don't have a clue except that they know there are bugs! Why release the **** thing if there are significant problems?
I hope someone has a solution!!

  • @hotmail and @outlook calendars

    Hello!
I am a new Mac user and I am trying to add the calendar of my @hotmail and @outlook e-mail account the MacBook Air calendar, but the calendar keeps asking for the password and does not recognize it.
Does anybody know how to solve this problem?  I was able to add the calendars to the iPhone and iPad, but not in the MacBook.
    Thanks!

    Hello,
    Refer:
Article ID: KB00561 How to configure wireless calendar synchronization on a BlackBerry smartphone
I don't recall legacy devices ever having the ability to sync OTA calendar with Hotmail/Outlook.com. I also don't recall seeing any authoritative list of which services work and which do not. Basically, it's as the KB documents...if the setting is not available, then it's not supported by the email service you are using.

  • Curve Verizon and outlook calendar - MAJOR ISSUES

I am new to Blackberry and sorry I purchased the curve. The curve DELETED 90% of my outlook calendar BUT the calendar remains on the curve. After four hrs between Blackberry and Verizon I was told this is a known issue and won't be a fix till the bold is released which they said would be late summer or fall. I find this to be TOTALLY unacceptable - does anyone have any suggestions other than to dump it?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Since you are at an impasse, it would be worth trying the latest version of Desktop Software which is Ver 4.5.
I have included a link at the bottom of the post.
I have seen a few posts where Outlook 2000 had problems with a newer ver of Desktop software, and they solved it by downgrading to your ver 4.3. I have Outlook 2003 and Desktop Software 4.5. It works fine. There may be an issue with the Outlook version and the Desktop Software versions. At the top of the page under software is where you can get the software for future reference. • Sync phone and outlook calendar on VISTA 64

I am using VISTA 64 bit os.  I have a 8300 running 4.5 and the desktop application is 4.6.0.6.  I can sync everything by the Calendar. It will read both the 8300 and Outlook but then errors out.  There really is not error message, vista just puts up a GUI that ask if you want to search for a fix to the error or just quit the program.  I have tried using the compatibility mode with the 'exe' program, but that did nothing but slow it down.  Any help

if I were you I would go to the back-up section of DM and do a specific backup of the calendar database only.
    does this work ?

  • Can't sync between moble me calendar and outlook calendar

I downloaded the newest version of iTunes, checked my preferences. i hit "sync" and it seems to go ok, no error message, but nothing is in my outlook calendar. any advice??

    Wayned,
Just chiming in to say that the DROID 2 should be working with CompanionLink/DejaOffice. How are you trying to sync? If it's via USB, my guess is that the sync troubles are relateded to the driver software failing to install. At that point, you'll need someone from Verizon/Motorola to chime in, but if you like, CompanionLink offers free support for our software and one of our techs would be happy to take a look at what might be going on. Just head over to http://www.companionlink.com/support/contact.html to get in touch.
    Hope that helps!

  • Sync iCal and Outlook calendars?

I use a Mac at home and on the road, but have to use a Win-XP at work. Is there a way to keep both sets of calendars on my iPod (iCal and Outlook)?

    {quote:title=Julian Wright wrote:}
Ok... so in that case, what is keeping track of changes to the files on the flashcard? When you plug it into the Mac after using it on the PC, what decides which files are newer and which files to move from the flashcard to the Mac, and which files to move from the Mac to the flashcard? What decides what to do when there is newer data on both?
I suspect you are not actually syncing, but simply manually copying the data each time using the flashcard as the transport medium.
No, I have two sync programs, one on the Mac, one on the PC, they sync their files to the flashcard.
    {quote:title=Julian Wright wrote:}
Have you tried configuring iTunes on both your home Mac and work PC to sync calendars to your iPod touch? If so, does it work or is data overwritten?
That was my question, can it be done? I'm guessing, from what you are saying here, that iTunes should be able to handle it? I don't have iTunes on the PC, so I haven't tried it. Is the functionality the same as on the Mac?

  • Syncing iPhone and Outlook Calendar - bug?

I have an issue syncing my iPhone 3G Calendar with Outlook’s Calendar (Outlook 2007). In general, the sync works fine, but: If I delete the current (ie first) instance of a repeating event in Outlook, when I sync, my iPhone will still display ALL instances of that event, including the ‘deleted’ one.
I have verified that this is because the iPhone is syncing the event based on its start date in Outlook, which will include the ‘deleted’ event, rather than what actually is shown as still a valid event in the calendar (which of course is what I want).
I am guessing that this is just because both manufacturers are pursuing a different methodology, but the bottom line is that iPhone claims it will sync properly, so I’d call it a bug.
I have a workaround, in that I can delete events from the Outlook calendar by changing the start date to the current one I wish to display, but this is cumbersome and of course takes more time. Is there a more elegant workaround? Or am I just doing something wrong?

When you decide to sync the second computer to the iphone, itunes will ask you if you want to merge or replace the data.
In the merge, data will be transfered both ways.
So, when you say separate, you can sync them one at a time, but in the end, all the events will be the same on both computers and iphone. Because itunes keeps merging the data.

  • Synch Calendars IPHONE and OUTLOOK 2003: Appointments 1 hour difference

I have an IPHONE 3G, Software 2.1. I´m in Brazil, Sao Paulo, DST on. To solve the problem of 1 hour difference when I synch calendars with my outlook 2003, I had to change the Time Zone Management in IPHONE to another city, in Brasil (Recife) wich doesn´t use DST. This is OK, but do I have to make this procedure everytime I have a DST change? Does anybody know how to fix it? Version 2.2 will correct this ?

I just noticed the same thing!! i had given up on syncing my iPhone with my work computer running Outlook (only syncing to iCal at home), and then with version 2.2 i hoped that it might work better.
just synced to Outlook, and all my appointments that were on the iPhone were set to one hour earlier. Outlook time zone is set correctly, with automatic adjustment for DST. my iPhone is set to Date & Time automatic. haven't played around with resetting to manual.
i ended up adjusting all the events that were incorrect in Outlook - moving them up an hour, resynced, and now every thing is an hour late!!!
may have to give up on syncing Outlook again, and just sync with iCal.

  • Touch and Outlook calendar

I've had my 2nd gen iPod Touch for just over a week and so far it's been an adventure to say the least. After numerous crashes and lockups and some time spent on the phone with tech support it finally seemed to be working properly. Or so I seemed. On the first sync after the last total reset it moved a number of calendar events. Like putting Halloween on June 30th and July 1st. I went through every event on the Touch for the year. Comparing it to the Outlook calendar and correcting the wrong ones. I then sync'd again. The new problem is that every day in the calendar now has one of the dots indicating that it thinks there is an event on that day. This makes it impossible to see which days really do have something.
Can anyone tell me why or better yet how to fix this?

I was having similar issues and came here for support and figured it out.
I did a restart as suggested above (holding down both buttons for about 20 sec until the apple came up). Went into itunes and info and unchecked calendar. It asked if i wanted to save previous calendar and I said no- thus erasing previous Outlook entries on my itouch. Sync.
Then recheck and reload calendar....it worked for me.
Hope it works for you all!

  • IPod and Outlook Calendar

I have an iPod video with a 30G drive, and the latest version of iTunes.
I have followed the directions and cannot get my iPod to import my Outlook Calendar. It gives no errors, there just isn't anything there. Their work-around, manually exporting each appointment and saving them as files on the iPod, is just plain silly. Who has that kind of time?
Has anyone else had similar problems and a resolution?

"Outlook 2003 or later is required for calendar syncing"
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302269
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302270
Their work-around, manually exporting each appointment and saving them as files on the iPod, is just plain silly.
    It's silly because?
If you do not have Outlook 2003 and this method is silly, then you don't get the appt on your iPod.
Who has that kind of time?
Someone who does not have Outlook 2003 and needs the info on their iPod.
If their time is that important, they would upgrade to Outlook 2003.
