Trying to create a signature, but all options greyed out except certificate
I have not found jack from web searching this. AFAICT none of the options should be greyed out. The PDF has no security restrictions, it's the IRS W-9 tax form PDF, first result if you Google "w9"

Select>Color Range is only in photoshop (i.e photoshop cs6 or cc 2014 as examples) and not in photoshop elements.
You could double click on the layer thumbnail in the layers panel to unlock the layer.
Select the background with the Magic Wand Tool.
Then Edit>Cut and that should make everything but the actual logo transparent.
Then save as a png, tif or psd file.

No Sound; All options greyed out
Output options for sound are greyed in Preferences and the desktop sound icon. In the Audio MIDI Setup window, the default output says Built-in Output and the System Output also says Built-in Output. No other options available for either.
Just below halfway down there is Audio Input, which has a bunch of info on the left, but on the right where it says Audio Output, there is just a greyed out message that says Output is Not Supported.
I also tried the option/apple/p/r, got the three chimes, but sound is still greyed out.
Any gurus out there who can tell me what simple thing I did to cause this, or is it a hardware/sofware bug?
Macbook Pro Core Duo 2 Mac OS X (10.4.8) 2 gig SDRAM 2.33 GHZ Core Duo 2it doesn't matter if you've used the ports or not.. there is a sensor inside the audio ports that will automatically switch your audio in and/or out into digital mode if it trips and then 'thinks' there's a digital cable connected. basically, if you open your sound control panel and display the output pane and it says 'digital out', and the volume control (and everything else) is greyed out, and it says something about this device not having volume control... then this is exactly the situation where the port sensor has clicked on to digital and is staying there. unfortunately, the sensor seems to be quite fragile and there are plenty of users that are suddenly wondering why they have no sound, and why the sound ouput only says digital and the options are greyed out. it would be at least a comfort to be able to say that this only can happen if you've been plugging things into the port (such as headphones), but I've heard of this happening to people regardless.
anyway, look for the signs I mentioned: the digital output option being the only available choice in the sound control panel, with options greyed out. and also a red light coming out of the port. if this is happening to you, then you need to get the machine fixed cos that sensor is jammed. -
My 'Location Services is on but all is greyed out so I can't change anything. Any ideas?
I want some of my apps to use the location services & to be able to turn it off, but it's all greyed out. Same with my Cloud. I read thru the entire manual, with no luck. Could someone give me a little advice? My iPhone 4S is from Verizon

Server 4.0 can't edit users and groups. All options greyed out.
I have upgraded the mac mini server from Mavericks to Yosemite and had to update to Server 4.0 and having many issues.
One issue is I can't edit users and groups. All the options are greyed out.Search the System keychain on the server for application passwords with the name "/LDAPv3/127.0.0.1" and delete any you find. Sign out of the Server app and sign back in using the FQDN of the server, not "localhost" or "127.0.0.1".

Mauualy sync ipod but all contents greyed out. Help!!
I have added items manually (box ticked for that and no auto syncing) but now my ipod touch is full. yet when I click on my ipod in the menu on the left, all the contents are greyed out so I cannot edit anything. I can however edit everything in my itunes library. why is this. I have downloaded music recently but cannot add it as ipod is full. Would appreciate help but not very technical so please please explain in a way I can hopefully understand!!

If you do have a complete library set as per all the links I provided above, here's how you move it: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Open iTunes and immediately hold down the option (alt) key (shift on Windows) so you get a prompt to select a library, then guide it to the 'iTunes Library.itl' file in the moved iTunes folder.
If you put the copied iTunes folder in the default location of Macintosh HD > Users > *User Name* > Music then you don't even need to start with the option key held down, iTunes will automatically look for it there. (Make sure there isn't anything already in the iTunes folder there that you want to keep since you will be replacing it with the one you are moving.) -

The coding on my form is yellow - I can't figure out what is wrong. Also, I can't see the tab on the browser, only in live view. I haven't loaded it to my site as I haven't finished it yet. I don't want to go any further, until I solve the issues I have now. Any ideas?

Just bought Photoshop Elements 13...I'm trying to make a slideshow but can't figure out how to alter duration time that the slide is on the screen. They presently move from one to another way too quickly...also need a different pan and zoom option. Where are all the options I had in PS10? Also...Can I burn this to a DVD?
The changes have brought improvements but also drawbacks compared with the old slideshow editor.
The templates are now fairly fixed but I find the “Classic Dark” gives reasonable results with some panning and you can click the audio button and browse you PC for any track. Unfortunately there are only three speed choices linked to the music track. The improvement for most people is that you can now export to your hard drive at 720p or 1080p and upload to sites like YouTube and Vimeo. -

I am trying to create a signature image via the Stamp tool. I have managed to do so, but i was wondering if there was a way to have only the hand written area as the stamp and get rid of the white background.

I have been trying to add my iPhoto Library to files for time machine backup.
I was instructed to click on the Options minus button - but it is greyed out and not functional.
What is the solution ?

Roberto KayYou can "see" the iPhoto library in Time Machine backups, but you cannot "open" the library or "browse" the contents while you are in Time Machine.
Apple makes you restore the entire iPhoto library to another destination...like your desktop....if you want to retrieve a few older images that you may have deleted by mistake.
This is a convoluted mess, but unfortunately, that is the way it is.

I have 2 accounts at ID apple. One of them the system don´t recongize my addres in Brazil, I tried to create another account but the ipad refuse it.
I´d like to exclude my accounts and creat another account with my same email. How can I do It?I don't know if that works on the iPhone, but....
View your SETTINGS and choose ICLOUD. That will give you your cloud settings. At the very bottom it has a delete button. Click it an see what happens. After deleting the account (and potentially loosing data connected with it) you should be able to log in to iCloud using your old id. -

I have downloaded J2EE Edition Version 10.1.3.1.0.3984When the class diagram is disabled - does the wizard for creating a new class in the new->General also disabled?
If it is then you are not placing your cursor on the project before you choose file->new
(you are probably on the workspace that contains the project).
