Trying to create an account

I'm trying to create an account but I don't plan on using a credit card or pay pal, I've just got itunes cards to use. so when i try to create an account, I have no credit card information to put in, and it won't let me create it. I'm confused. what should i do?

Thank you Niel, it took 3 people in my house to figure this out and 40 minutes later I read your answer. What makes it so bad I am a mac nerd as you can tell by my name and I could not figure this out. Why would they make it so **** hard to figure out making it look like you must fill in your credit card info.

View your SETTINGS and choose ICLOUD. That will give you your cloud settings. At the very bottom it has a delete button. Click it an see what happens. After deleting the account (and potentially loosing data connected with it) you should be able to log in to iCloud using your old id.

How can I use eprint service without a user?

What browser are you using to access the site? I would start by trying to access the site from another browser. If that is not an option, I would clear the viewing history, cookies and cache for that browser under the settings. Then I would reboot the computer too. I hope that this helps.

I've tried both. First, I tried on my pc, where iTunes had installed iCloud when it last updated. I have iTunes installed on this computer (and on my iPad and iPhone), but that wasn't the issue.
So I went online, thinking I needed a separate iCloud Apple ID, but it prompted me for my current Apple ID and gave me the message about my ID being "valid" but not an iCloud account," which, lol, was what it had asked me to do in order to create one. Have you been able to successfully create an account by providing this information? If so, at what point are you receiving an error message? What specific error message(s) are you receiving? To my understanding, the address you provide must be a valid U.S. residential address. Does your address meet this requirement?

im trying to create a mobileme account using my apple ID the one i use with itunes to buy apps music etc etc but every time i try to create a new mobileme account on my iphone under settings > mail > add acount > mobileme then it asks me to enter my apple and password I press next shows verifying then it show " CANNOT SIGN IN this apple id cannot be used for mobileme. sign in with a different apple id???

The old rule of thumb was to keep 10-12 GB free. Any lower than that and you will start to have trouble. I was very close to that for a long time and never had any complaints. Now, Lion "encourages" 20% free space (on my newer 250 GB drive) so I try to keep it with more than 50 GB free.
Do you still have the original memory in that machine too? The metal plate you have to remove in the battery compartment also provides access to the RAM. Your machine will take 2 GB of RAM, possibly 3. You definitely want to max that out too.
Regardless, you definitely need a new hard drive. When Apple switched to PC components, they had to take a quality hit. These 2.5" notebook hard drives are not very reliable. I'm surprised your hard drive hasn't died by now. I usually get a new hard drive with every major OS upgrade. A $ 50 investment every couple of years is no big deal.
Unfortunately, you (and I) suffer from being an early adopter in 2006. Those 32-bit machines only accept 2 GB RAM (maybe 3) and are only 32-bit so they can't be upgraded to Lion. Because of this limitation, you won't see as dramatic an improvement as you would with a 2007 machine. If you run more than a couple of applications, your hard drive is always going to have to be doing some VM work. My 2006 machine has even lost its bluetooth. I gave it to my brother. My very similar 2007 Macbook is still running great.
So, you must get a new hard drive because your old one is likely on death's door. If you don't have at least 2 GB - get it. If you can't afford a new machine, you might want to consider an SSD. That might help mitigate your RAM limitations. You can spend from $ 100 to $ 350 and get a dramatic speed improvement.

Same problem. Wasted 2 hours so far! I use my personal email for registering all my HP products and can log-in to that fine. Trying to use same personal email for eprint seems to be problem.

Trying to create Gmail account creates only email, no contacts or calendar

11A few months ago, when I was a brand new BB user, I went through several days of headache trying to get my email, calendar and contacts to synch with Gmail. What finally worked was selecting the Gmail option fromt the advanced account settings. BB then automatically created all three -- an email account, a calendar account and a contacts account. Now my mom just also got a BB (also a Q10, but an older version of the operating system (actually, mine had been the same version, but I had upgraded). I'm trying to set up her accounts the same way and am having problems. For starters, specifying Gmail under advanced options created only an email address. So, I thought maybe the problem was that Mom didn't actually have any entries in her Google calendar, or entries with phone numbers in her Google contacts. I created one in each. Didn't help. Then I thought maybe the behavior was different for the earlier OS version, so I decided to try to create a separte CardDev account for contacts and CalDev for calendar. I haven't tried the CalDev yet, but, when I try to create a CardDev account and enter all the same Gmail info, I get the following error message: "Your login information for account (Contacts - [email protected]) has changed or is incorrect. Update your login information and try again." So, now I'm stuck.

How can it be the same? Cardav and caldav are different systems and contacts aren't events. I did do a search for server settings for carddav and found one ref that said just www.google.com, which is actually what I already set it to.
Anyway, the error isn't telling me it doesn't recognize the server.
I also don't understand why it isn't just working to set it up as a Gmail type account with email, contacts and calendar all present like I have on mine.
