Trying to create new user and getting remote procedure call error

I'm trying to create a new user on my windows 8.1 machine but it's not letting me.
If i open control panel and go to user accounts there's not even an option to add a new user. It's like it's missing, there si a blank space where the link should be. I can change my current account type, and manage another account (though that takes me
to the list of accoutns which shows mine and the guest, but no option to add a new one) or change user account control settings.
If i open the run menu and type "users" there is a program that shows up labeled "add, delete and manage other user accoutns" but if I click that a dialog pops up with the following message
I've run sfc /scannow and it says there are corrupt files but that it couldnt repair them and logged them in the CBS.log

OK I tried to run sfc /scannow again, and it said files needed to be fixed on a reboot. I rebooted and I can now create user accounts. So never mind, folks!

I understand that BPEL PM uses jazn files to keep user information . I would like to know the steps to create new users and gourps in BPEL PM.

Please refer this link http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12483_01/integrate.1013/b28982/security.htm#CDDBJCHD and also you can create users/roles through EM (Enterprise Manager). Here even you can able to specify their roles.

  • Can't seem to create new users and log in

Please help. I'm almost sure that this has something to do with a game or other download that my teenager has done. About three weeks ago, she was unable to fully log into her user. She would type in her password, and then screen would change to the background she picked, and then the pointer would turn into the spinning color wheel (which my children now call The Spinning Wheel of Death), and that's it. No dock. No menu at the top. Forever spinning. It then somehow migrated to my oldest son's user, and he had the same problem. (Which leads me to believe that he was playing the same game she was and it corrupted something somehow.) My user, my husband's user and my youngest child's user are perfectly fine. I deleted their user accounts and tried to create new ones. They can be created, but when we try to log them in, The Spinning Wheel of Death occurs. I've tried using different names for the accounts, and get the same result every time. I've run Disk Utility and it repaired lots of different permissions, but it doesn't change what happens when we try to log in. We've had this computer for nearly two years, and so there is no warranty on it anymore. Help!

    HI,
Back up all your important data on all accounts and perform either an Archive & Install or Erase and Install, instructions here.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1545
First, boot from your install disc and run Disk Utility in case there are errors on the startup disk.
Insert your install disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key until grey Apple appears.
Go to Installer menu and launch Disk Utility.
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
*(Check S.M.A.R.T Status of HDD at the bottom of right panel. It should say: Verified)*
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
When you are finished with DU, from the Menu Bar, select Utilities/Startup Manager.
Select your start up disk and click Restart
While you have the Disk Utility window open, look at the bottom of the window. Where you see Capacity and Available. *Make sure there is always 10% to 15% free disk space*

    Hi,
I am not sure that which option you are talking about? Are you using the EMCA,http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28319/emca.htm#SUTIL800] to create the new repository for the EM? If not the command line than the other only way is to use DBCA(Database Configuration Assistant).I believe you are talking about that. Yes ,if the message is coming creating the repository than after wards you can login to the EM. You would get the port no of the EM's HTTP port from the $OH/install/portlist.ini file.

    Hi,
I am new to SAP, please explain how to create end users and their roles
    Thanks

    Hi,
Roles are decided by IT managers. Suppose if Persons who are working in shopfloor or production side
give authorization to Production order create , change and Confirm like that etc
    1. In role maintenance (transaction PFCG), choose the Authorizations tab page.
    2. To change the authorization data for the transactions assigned to the role, choose Change Authorization Data or Expert Mode for Profile Generation. Otherwise, a dialog box appears in expert mode (see Regenerating an Authorization Profile After Changes).
Please take telp from Basis person also refer this link,

  • Why is it that each time I upgrade my iPad, half of my apps won't work properly but worst of all my email won't send after the latest "patch" today, wake up Apple I am a new user and getting sick of this problems

WHy is it that each time I get an upgrade some of my Apps won't work when they did with the previous version. I have just upgraded to v7.01 and now I cannot send email, wake up Apple and get it right as I am a new user of Apple technology and not impressed.

That's one of the weird things.. it recognizes it maybe 10% of the time. And usually, only after I do the two-button reset. Problem is.. since it won't charge above 2%, anytime I try to do a restore or anything like that using iTunes, my device shuts off and I lose whatever progress I'd made.
So, an update... after reading through a bunch of similar complaints (there are literally 1000's of them so there's NO WAY this isn't somehow ios7 related, thanks a lot APPLE ) I decided to try a restore in recovery mode. After 3 hours and several disconnections... I ended up having to just set it up as a new iPad, as the restore did nothing. Weirdly though... as I was doing the restore in recovery mode.. I noticed I'd gotten up to a 10% charge.. higher than it's been since September, so after setting it up as a new device, I turned it off and plugged it in using the wall charger. 2 hours later and I was up to 38%. Still not great, as my iPad, before ios7 could've fully charged twice in the amount of time it took for me to now get 28% more of a charge. And that's with a fully cleaned out device.. so that really ***** and I'm now more confused than ever.
But I'm gonna leave it overnight charging and see what I come up with tomorrow. Sadly, when I paid $600 for it in February, I never expected to have to play "wait and see" with it...

  • Create new user and edit user

All of a sudden I am unable to create nor edit users in IDM6.0 accounts interface.
    and getting this error.
XPRESS exception ==> com.waveset.util.WavesetException: Constructor threw an exception. ==> java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException: ==> Missing required argument "operand".
    any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    G

I hope u are using Tomcat to run Idm. Inthat case refer to the error that is generated on the command prompt window which will give you I believe an error in Java or some other error apart from the Xpress error you have cited..........if you can provide me that error I will try to provide you the solution to your problems.

This has been fixed in the RI head. Hopefully we'll be able to get a 1.2_04 out shortly.
Please download a nightly from the RI project site and give that a shot.

  • Strange Database issues while trying to create new user through EM...

I'm attempting to configure my local Oracle 11g database in order to create a Content Server user in order to setup a Fatwire installation. I'm getting some strange issues with my database that I was hoping maybe someone could help me out with.
The guide I'm following starts with this:
+1. Determine the Console Server port:+
    a. Open the emoms.properties file in a text editor. The file is located in:
    +<ora_home>/<servername>_<SID>/sysman/config/+
    b. Find the line,
    oracle.sysman.emSDK.svlt.ConsoleServerPort
and make a record of the port number value at the end of the line.
When I open the emoms.properties file in Notepad++, I'm unable to read the contents - it's all symbols/jibberish.
    The next step says this:
+2. Log in to the Oracle Enterprise Manager console:+
    a. Execute the following command: emctl status dbconsole
When I execute that command I get the following error:
Environment variable ORACLE_UNQNAME not defined. Please set ORACLE_UNQNAME to database unique name.
    The third step says this:
Open a browser and go to the URL highlighted in bold in step a above. If you see
a “Security Mismatch” error, ignore it (the error appears if you are using a selfsigned
    certificate).
I skipped to this step because I'm assuming the link it wants me to go to is my EM console (https://localhost:1158/em/console/aboutApplication), however when I browse to that URL I get the following error:
    503 Service Unavailable
Service is not initialized correctly. Verify that the repository connection information provided is correct.
Clearly, something isn't right here. What's going on? Any help would be appreciated.

Did you try what I suggested?Yes, thanks for the advice. Now I'm having some additional issues. When I run emctl status dbconsole I get the following error:
    OC4J Configuration issue. C:\app\john.smith\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1/oc4j/j2ee/OC4
    J_DBConsole_ORCL-SMITH.company.com_localhost_orcl not found.
This is appearing after I made the appropriate changes to the emoms.properties file and set ORCL_UNQNAME to "localhost_orcl" <-- is that correct? the path to my emoms.properties is:
    C:\app\john.smith\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\localhost_orcl\sysman\config
Here is my emoms.properties file, does this look right?

  • How to create new user and group on version 10/09 ?

    Hello,
I have used previous versions of Solaris 10 installed 1 or 2 years ago, and now, I just installed Solaris 10 x86, version 10/09. I notice that the desktop is different now, where I see "Desktop System for Solaris".
I remember in the past, when logged in as root, I could easily create groups and users.
With the Oct 2009 Solaris x86 version, I looked around, but didn't know how it's done on this version.
Is there a tool to easily do this on the 10/09 version?
Also, will all C programs and UNIX shell scripts on previous Solaris 10 versions (1 or 2 years ago) run
fine on this new Solaris 10, 10/09 version without problems? Thanks.

The GUI to create users is 'smc', which should work in 10/09. The CLI to create users is 'usermod'.
Yes, shell scripts created under earlier version of Solaris should work.
    .7/M.

  • How to create a new user and group on command line?

    Hi,
I am trying to install INN, the news server on OS X.4.8 (non-server), but it requires me to create a user and group, both called 'news'.
I know this has something to do with using Netinfo to create them, but I am logged in remotely via ssh and I can't use Netinfo Manager.
How do I create new users and groups via the command line.
