Trying to create presentation for iPad

Hi there,
I hope someone can help me today.
I have InDesign 5.5 and need to produce a presentation that is required to be displayed on an iPad.
I have started to build a document that includes some animations and will also include some slide shows. What I need to know is what do I export the document as in order to view the document. I can't even see the presentation on my macbook pro. I can see it in preview but cannot work out what I need to save / export it as in order to view it.
I have also downloaded and installed the Folio Producer Tools and installed them but still in Indesign when I go to Extensions and Folio I get the box asking me to go to download and install them. I've done this twice now which I guess in itself could be a problem but now cannot find the files to uninstall them.
I would really appreciate some straightforward advice. I don't want to complete this important document for work only to find no-one can view it, on laptops or otherwise.
Please help as I am bashing my head against a brick wall here!

Trying to create reference for application in target server failed;

I have an ear file that I am trying to deploy using the "Deploy Enterprise Applications/Modules" page on the console.
The console gives me a message saying
"Trying to create reference for application in target server failed; Application tsom_oes is not found in config context"
tsom_oes is the name of my application, or it was. I've changed every instance of that name I can find and still it tells me it is looking for tsom_oes.
Can anyone tell me just what is looking for it and where it is expecting to find it?
I ran the verifier on the ear file and it did give me some errors, although none of them seem to relate to this. Specifically it told me it did not like the xml in a tld file I'm using
and it seems to think Hibernate needs a bunch of JBoss classes (none of which are referred to by my app anywhere). I'm guessing the verify is mistaken on those, but if anyone knows better I'd like to hear
Meanwhile I don't know why it won't deploy, nor why it is still looking for tsom_oes.
One more thing I must add: this ear file exposes portlets which I am hoping will be accessible through the portal server. The ear file works on JBoss, but I have added what I think are the necessary sun xml files to make it run here.
By 'exposes portlets' I mean that I have created a sun-portlet.xml and implemented the appropriate interfaces (all of which work on JBoss).
Environment:
Sun App server 9.1 plus portal server 7.2 on Windows XP

Okay, I found the answer. I had hacked the domain.xml for this some time ago (this task has been off and on a lot) and forgotten.
I found the tsom_oes reference in there and removed it. Now it deploys.
Hopefully this helps someone else some day... probably not though, eh?

Help creating interactive presentation for iPad using InDesign

Hello All,
So I have some very basic experience using Adobe programs for my personal business solutions. Primarily photoshop. But I just got InDesign CS6 as it was recommend for creating an interactive presentation for an iPad.
Before I get to my main question I'd like to give you the basics on my needs for such presentation. I currently own a residential painting company and we have a printed client manual we use at our sales presentations to cover our services for prospective clients. I would like to create an interactive presentation, document, whatever (is easiest and will provide the best experience) for our sales reps to use on iPad devices. This presentation will ideally be between 20-30 pages long, with a main menu and 4-5 subtopics with page links, video & picture inserts, working web links, GIF's, and anything else that might spark customer interest or be an effective sales tool.
We are trying to integrate everything for use on the ipad for our sales presentation because we can use it as an all in one tool. Specifically for our client manual, schedule, job locations, credit processing, etc... Also, I see a video review on an ipad much more powerful tool than the boring written reviews we have right now.
Anyways, I really have absolutely no idea what I am doing. I have learned Adobe programs from scratch in the past, and I am looking for any beginner advice or resources you guys may have. Maybe some good starting points or examples of presentation templates for ipad use, functionality, etc... Really lost in the fog right now, and just looking for a little beginner guidance.
Any help or advice is grealty appreciated

You may (re)consider the presentation format. A PDF (which may be created from an InDesign document) may an option for identical appearance (requiring sufficient pixel x pixel size of all appliances used. Otherwise, a floating (reflowing) format may be more appropriate. In the latter case, InDesign may be a dead end.

Error while trying to create Contact for Bank in Cash Management

Hi,
I have a Bank created in Cash Management. I am trying to create a Contact for the bank but when I click on the Create Contact button, the page appears with the following error on top
"No field listener is registered to resolve field CUST.CUSTOMER_NUMBER referenced by the flexfield with application short name AR and name RA_PHONES_HZ. Please contact your system administrator. "
I can enter the desired values in the contact details fields like name , job code etc but then nothing happens when I click on the Apply button.
I found the following notes on metalink for similar errors but none of them explains how to resolve the issue.

Error trying to create App for SharePoint Online

I'm trying to create my first app for SharePoint Online using Visual Studio 2012. I believe I have all of the pre-reqs installed/configured. I have created a dev site in our SharePoint Online environment. I am a Site Collection administrator for that site.
When I open VS2012, and try to create a new app project, it prompts me to connect to my dev site. When I enter the URL for that site, it give me the following login:
We use ADFS, so when I enter my email address, it redirects me to my organizations federated login:
Once I login, it takes me to the screen that reads "Error: An error has occurred on the server" with the standard SharePoint correlation id.
I can't seem to get past this, and it won't let me start the new app project. Any thoughts on how to proceed?

I have an Ipad 1 and the os is 5.1.1 I am trying to get iwork for ipad beta and I always get the option to set up icloud on this device. Any ideas to help me out? Thanks

Would like to try out iwork for ipad and I was to sign in to icloud and then access the Pages, numbers, etc. I dont find a signon and cannot find where I can download the app..

You can't access icloud.com on your iPad. You have to access it using your computer browser. After creating iWork documents using the iWork beta apps on icloud.com, you have to purchase the corresponding apps from the app store for your iPad in order to access the documents or create new documents on your iPad.

Creating Art for Ipad

I am creating my art in illustrator for an ipad size book. I have been using 1024 x 768 for th eartboard. Just recently I went to the drop down menu in illustrator and chose ipad template and it was exactly twice that size. Should I going forward design twice the size of the target size or stick with 1024 x 768. It is simply bold cartoon art. It look great and functioned well in importing into edge at 100% (1024 x 768). Any help would appreciated.

In this case : ;SC_TA_C means you want to put an arrow trend inside each cell of the table matrix. The above formula tells BI Mobile to put an arrow trend icon on the 5th and the 6th column.
After the column number (beginning with 1) you can put either a _L or _R which tells the app to put the icon either on the left or the right of the value.
What I cannot achieve until now is to put ranges to show green/red icons...
If someone knows how to achieve this, please let us know!

Help? Trying to create partition for Windows...

Okay so I'm trying to create a partition for Windows XP and I go to the Boot Camp Assistant and I have it set to 32 GB and I click partition and it says that I have to "repair the disk." So I go to the Disk Utitlity and I tried verifying my Mac HD and it couldn't even verify. Here's the description:

Checking Journaled HFS Plus volume
Checking Extents Overflow file
Checking Catalog file
Incorrect number of thread records

Checking Catalog hierarchy

The volume Macintosh HD needs to be repaired.
Error: Filesystem verify or repair failed
Someone please tell me what does this all mean and tell me how to make the error go away

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at the top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)

I'm trying to create folders for my apps but for some reason my iPad is not allowing to do so.

I have held my finger on app until the apps start to wiggle. I then try to drag the app over another app to create a folder. All that happens is the apps move location. Is there a setting that I need to find to allow me to create folders

It takes a while for you to get the "touch" down. With the app jiggling drag it directly on top of the app you want to created the folder and don't let go until the host app kind of enlarges a bit and you'll know you can let go and the app you wanted to move into the folder will stay. At that point a box will come up with a suggested folder name, which you can certainly keep or if you prefer, rename.
You can also do this on your computer in iTunes.........

How to create forms for iPad

Many people are using web apps for that purpose. You can publish a web-app with your own server instead of appStore and use it with iPad´s Safari web-browser where you can "install" it to you iPad´s desktop when it looks and feels like real native iOS app. Computer users will usually be able to read it too.
