Trying to Delete Large SMS/Text Thread freezes app

Didn't really think about it because I'm coming from multiple Samsung phones but I have a large amount of text messages in one thread and any time I try to delete these messages, the pre-installed messaging app freezes. I have tried rebooting it, clearing data from the app but nothing seems to allow me to delete these messages. I'd hate to have to soft reset my phone just to get these off my phone....Really starting to miss the Galaxy Note 2 I gave up for this device

Tried that and a few other apps. Maybe it's currupt messages from the transfer of these messages from my old phone because nothing removes them and there are far too many to delete them in groups of individual checkmarks. Just seems odd that most resolutions involve third-party apps. Sony is kind of confusing with this build on the Z1s...

I finally figured out how to delete SMS text messages from the SIM card. Open a text that you sent or you received from someone. Open the menu then "view folder" option. All of your sent and received text messages will be stored here and can be deleted.

HELP!!! trying to transfer contacts, sms texts, call logs, etc

I recently got a new 8120 pearl from T-Mobile to replace my 8100 pearl from AT&T.
I was running desktop manager 4.6 but upgraded to 5.0 for the switch.
My old Pearl (8100) was running v4.5.0.110 and the new Pearl (8120) was running v.4.3.0.115
I thought (oh how naive) that I could just switch devices easily and elegantly with desktop manager, but my new device has yet to be recognized by my computer.
I went to switch devices in DM 5.0 and it uploaded everything and stored it on my drive.
...but then it could not find my new Pearl.
I went backwards in time (!) and removed DM 5.0 from my system and installed the DM that came with my new Pearl (4.3), hoping that it just needed an earlier version of the software to make it happen.
No such luck.
Then I came across a thread that said I needed to install new USB drivers (version 4.6) to make my PC recognize my phone. I installed the drivers and they uninstalled my DM 5.0
So I re-installed the DM (5.0) and tried again. No luck.
Now my girlfriend is yelling at me saying I have been on the computer all day (on our day off) messing around with this stupid phone.
Please, for the love of God, help me.

2. So, the bottom line is that your new 8120 is not recognized by ANY version of Desktop Manager?
If ONLY it is connected to the PC and you open Desktop Manager, does it show as connected?

Getting error code -1407 when trying to delete large file

I'm getting the following error when I attempt to erase a file that I just copied to my 1TB WD boot drive. The file is 2.94 Gb and is an uncompressed video file.
"The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -1407)."
I repaired permissions on the disk and still won't let me delete the file?

I copied the file to another drive and I can delete it. I can delete other files from the boot drive.

If OWA works, you may need to check whether EWS works fine on both Apple client side and Exchange side.

2013 Honda Civic Si, SMS Text Message Function says "Unsupported Device" when trying to use this feature with iPhone 5. Can anyone help with this?

In my 2013 Honda Civic Si, I'm trying to use the SMS Text Message Function, but keep getting the error message, "Unsupported Device".
I use an iPhone 5 with latest iOS 6.1.4.
HandsFreeLink works perfectly fine with my iPhone for voice calls and for streaming Bluetooth Audio. Does text messaging not work because of iMessage? Does anyone have any suggestions for this issue?

In looking for a 2013 Honda Civic (LX model, no Navi), the text feature was very interesting and important to me. Why not have my texts available on the dash and read to me rather than messing with my phone. Anyway I won't go into the whole thing about safety while you're in your driving and all that. We all know what we should and shouldn't do. Anyways...
I spoke to a salesman who said that this feature was not compatible with the iPhone, only BBs. Of course this didn't impress me and I found it hard to believe that Honda would restrict themselves like that. Anyway, a few searches on the web later and Honda shows that the iPhone 4, 4S and 5 are compatible for receiving texts through the car, just not sending them. I believe you need a minimum of iOS 5+ for it to work though.
Once I found this the salesman and I did some testing with our phones. He has a 4S with iOS 6.1.3 and mine is a 4 with iOS 6.1.3. Initially we setup the phone using the Bluetooth config on the Civic's iMID display. It was setup and hands-free calling tested o.k. Next the texting was tested. Both of us have iMessage turned on. Neither of us could get the messages we would send each other (1 of us had our phone setup with the car, the other sent the text and vice versa). The messages were received by the phones, just not the car). When we would go under the Text Message section, it would say "Unsupported Device". I knew that couldn't be as Honda said it was compatible. After more web searches and a phone call to Honda by the salesman, I found the following.
1) It seems like the person who had their phone paired with the Civic had to disable iMessage to start getting texts. The salesman still had it enabled on his though when he sent me texts (as SMS) and the Civic got them so both people aren't necessarily required to disable it. Now under the Text Message section, it would list the messages received.
2) I changed the Notifications on my phone for Messages from Banner to Alerts. Once I did this it started to work. The texts were showing up on the car. I had read where another person had tried this successfully but then changed it back to Banner and it continued to work. I experienced the same thing.
Granted this wasn't extensive testing but I was able to get it to do something closer to what I wanted. I'm not sure why Apple and Honda can't put their heads together to make sending texts work on the car but maybe someday it will work when enough people complain. It's kind of a disappointment that I couldn't get iMessage to work but I haven't given up hope yet. As it's a proprietary protocol, I can see Honda not supporting it though.

the important part of this error message are these lines:
"ORA-01562: failed to extend rollback
segment number 3
ORA-01628: max # extents (60) reached for rollback segment
PRS_2"
They give us the following information:
1. You do not use the highly recommended/recommendable automatic undo management of oracle 9 and above. If the db is not still running on oracle 8 then: SWITCH TO AUM right now. This error is GONE afterwards.
2. The PSAPROLL is configured as a dictionary managed tablespace and the rollback segment is only allowed to have a maximum of 60 extents. This is fairly mis- or better unconfigured.
If there's no way for you to use AUM, then, as a short term resolution, you should think about:
a) altering the maxextents of the rollback segments to a higher value. Say... 500.
b) using a single BIG rollback segment for your big deletion report. But this would probaply imply more DB work. So keep it simple and effective: use AUM (there's a pretty good SAP note about it).

Deleting a Hyperlinked Text-box

Hello,
I cannot find a way to delete a text-box (the default one) or remove the hyperlink. The strange think is the whole box even when I delete it's contents it remains an active hyperlink (little blue arrow at the bottom corner insists!)
to a file that I set as hyperlink for a text that lies outside this text-box.
Please help me!

Is it possible you're trying to delete a default text box from a specific template page in the theme which you're using? Such text boxes are different than text boxes you create yourself. There's a small visual difference–a text box which is part of the template, when selected, has slightly gray corner markers. A regular text box you create has white corner markers when selected. This kind can be deleted from the page. The other kind cannot.
You mention you've copied your page for each new entry. Maybe start fresh by clicking the 'Add Page' button, from the choices presented, choose 'Blank'. Not 'Blog, My Albums, About Me' because some of them have the default text boxes that can't be deleted.
As far as the inability to make the hyperlink go away, I have no idea!

It sounds like you're deleted message threads keep coming back after you restart the devie. I recommend starting by quitting all the running apps on your phone:
iOS: Force an app to close
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
If the issue persists, backup your device to iTunes and then restore it as a new device and verify that it works.
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups
If it does, then restore your backup to either verify it still works and the software just needed reinstalled, or isolate the issue to the backup file itself.

I am a bit ignorant when it comes to my iphone 4. Can somone help me delete saved text messages? I have tried to delete them one by one in my messages, but it still says that I have 2.3 saved messages. I just want to free up space on my phone.

There's no way to delete all message threads at one go. You can however do one contact thread at a time.
In Messages app where you see a list of messages from different contacts, tap Edit (top left), tap the red (on the left), then tap the red Delete button on the right.

Have your husband text the word "stop" to 48369. This should take his number out of the iMessage system.
Go into your settings under messaging and make sure the box to send as an SMS if iMessage is unavailable is checked.
Hopefully this will get your messages sending/receiving to each other.

As expected, cdm-git also works fine since DMs only work in the root mode as of now.
Just for the record, both type commands output "/usr/bin/startx" and pacman -Q gives "systemd 215-4".
