Trying to direct iweb page to existing web address

I need help, We have an existing website through Earthlink, and would like to use our iweb and.mac account instead. I have contacted our domain registrar and got everything we needed, until it asked us to change the nameserver delegation. Right now it says:

on the .mac site it says to use this....
You will need to tell .Mac the name of your domain and then edit the domain settings on your registrar's site to define web.mac.com as the alias, or CNAME, for your domain.
I am not sure where to put this (web.mac.com) It keeps telling me that it is incorrect.
Can anyone tell me what to do?

Why don't you contact them and have them walk you thru changing the cname to web.mac.com

Code in a domain file - really? That is not possible because the domain.sites file does not contain any html or css code at all - the domain file is your iWeb data file and you won't see any code until you publish your website.
If you can see html code, then you have the wrong file and it is a published version of your site which iWeb can do nothing with - iWeb has no import facility so cannot open any html files.
Go back and ensure that you have the correct domain.sites files that can be found under your User Library/Application Support/iWeb/domain.sites and if you have Mavericks then you need to go to Go and press the alt key to reveal your hidden User Library, so that you can then get to Application Support and then iWeb and then your domain.sites file.
You will also need to go and download either DomainCracker or iWebSwitch which allows you to open individual domain files under Mavericks, because from Lion onwards, you cannot open individual domain files.
Also, it says that you are still using iWeb 08? If this is so, you'll either need to upgrade to iWeb 09 by going to Amazon and purchasing the iLife 09 or 11 boxed set, both of which contain iWeb 09 or you need to switch to newer software that is actively being supported and developed such as EverWeb (http://www.everwebapp.com).

How do I get rid of the new "status bar" at the bottom of the page where the web address pops up?

On the left hand side of the page in the bottom corner, the web address pops up every time a new page is loading. What if I don't want that? How do I disable it?

If the add-on bar keeps coming back, you will have an add-on that is causing this. One that does this is the McAfee Site Advisor, disabling or uninstalling it stops that from happening.

Adding Individual IWeb pages to existing site.

I have a website that I created not using IWeb. Can I use IWeb to create a photo gallery page and add just that page to my website. I have a ton of pages and I don't want to start over but I like the way the slide show galleries work in IWeb. I also have good search engine placement and I don't want to mess with a good thing.

I would suggest that it is never a good idea to try creating another page with something other than you created your original site with.
Go back and create a page with the package you used to create the original site or totally re-build the whole site again in iWeb.
I'm not sure you will be able to get this to work because of the way in which iWeb publishes with an html page and the CSS folder that goes with it - most others create the pages and one CSS file for the whole site.
If you just want one page, then why not create it by hand using a text editor such as TextWrangler? Create what you want and just place a link within that page to the CSS folder that already exists for the rest of your site. This way, you will achieve a uniform look to your site with the extra page and you can easily create the links to the rest of your site and then just upload one page using Cyberduck or Transmit or something similar.

You can't - Safari on iOS 5 used tabbed browsing as opposed to the thumbnail/page browsing as on previous iOS versions. You now open new tabs/pages via the '+' to the right of the tab bar, and you can close the selected by tapping the 'x' on its left-hand end (unless it's the last tab).

I meant a "Log In" link in an existing page should NOW redirect to CRM Web UI login page.
My question was, in the existing non-SAP page, should there be some html/javascript code to redirect the user to the CRM Web UI login page URL?...
II don't think it's as simple as <a href="http://www.WEB_UI_URL.com"></a> I will go thru what "URL rewriting" is all about but still wondering what it takes to fulfill the requirement...Coding / server settings etc...

IWeb web addresses

Ok, so I published my site with iWeb '08 and the web address is web.me.com/emailaddress...etc. I need a shorter web address so that people can remember it. I was watching the '09 tutorial and it showed that when publishing you could type in your own web address (lizinfocus.com is the one used for the tutorial). However, in the same tutorial, when the pop-up window appeared to view site or announce it, the window still showed the web address as web.me.com/emailaddress/lizinfocus.
I'm curious, is there some way that I can buy the domain name that I want and when people type it, they are redirected to my iWeb website? Or does this happen in iWeb '09 automatically? For example, if someone were to type in lizinfocus.com (from the tutorial) would they be redirected to her super long iWeb address?
I would be fine with this as long as I could keep the web address simple and easy to remember. Thank you.

"@mac" in web address

Does this have to be there? I've seen others websites in the forum lists that don't have it. How do you eliminate the "@mac" in your website name and still publish using iweb?
I am new at this and haven't yet published a web site---I guess I am assuming the @mac will be there---is this true?

Simply register your domain name "myname.com", then use "forwarding" to direct it to your real web address, and use "domain masking" so that your "myname.com" web address url remains at all times. With this, only "myname.com" will show for your website. However, keep in mind, that certain features of .mac won't work with the domain masking - such as iWeb's standard hit counter, and I believe the slideshow doesn't work well under domain masking as well.
If you need these, and having "myname.com" isn't such a big deal to have showing all the time. You can use "myname.com" to forward to your site, then once there your real .Mac domain will show up. Honestly, people really don't care what the domain url is, just as long as they get there.

Eprint only prints Web Address.

I have a HP 6500A Plus printer & when sending from my iphone all thats printed is a single page with the web address only. When sending from iphone it only ask if i want to mail a LINK to the page. Am i doing something wrong? I am evidently set up properly for Eprint for its connecting and printing.

When printing from iPhone, you have two ways of printing.
1. ePrint - send an email to the ePrint enabled printer email address, and the email content plus it's attachment will be printed. ePrint can be done anywhere and any time.
2. Airprint - your iPhone has to have iOS 4.2 and above. Your iphone also need to be on the same network as your printer within the wireless range. Or else it will not work.
From the brief information you provided, it seems you are printing form Airprint. It you open the internet page, the page info should be printed, not just the link.

I add pictures to existing web page using iweb(3.0.1) and new pictures show in all browsers EXCEPT firefox. Previous patches seem only good for iweb 2.X

web page created with iweb (3.0.1). worked great in firefox, then I added additional photos to an existing web page. All other browsers see these new pictures EXCEPT firefox. There seems to have been a previous issue with new pages, but fix appears only fro iweb2.x

Do you see any error messages about getElementsByClassName in the Tools > Error Console ?
That was the problem with content generated with an older version of iWeb.
Content that has been generated with such an older version needs to be regenerated with that never version and uploaded to the web server.
Never versions of iWeb should cause any problems.

Where are you hosting the site, how are you uploading the files and what's the URL of your site so we can examine it first hand?
Adding audio files by dragging onto the web page forces the viewer to have Quicktime installed on their computer in order to be able to listen to them. Look at the audio player options on this page of Roddy's iWeb for Musicians site: Audio Players for your Music Website.
