Trying to download adobe acrobat, it says "this installer has been mis-configured"
Trying to download a trail for adobe acrobat on my mac and it keeps saying theres an error and "This application cannot be installed because this installer has been mis-configured. Please contact the application author for assistance." I want to try it ASAP so quick assistance needed, thanks Appreciate it
Phillip please remove your previous installation of the Adobe Download Assistant. Once removed you should be able to download and install the Adobe Download Assistant.
You may have some difficulty locating a page which offers it though as most of our trials are now offered through the Adobe Application Manager. You can use the same link for Photoshop Elements which is offered in the discussion referenced by Rave in message #5 to obtain a copy of the Adobe Download Assistant from there.
Alternately you can try the direct download option as offered by Rave and bypass the use of the Adobe Download Assistant.

I need help with an error I am receiving. I'm on a Mac with OS X Mavericks. I just attempted to install the Photoshop Elements trial and, in attempting to open the "Install Adobe Download Assistant", I received this error:
"Sorry, an error has occurred.
This application cannot be installed because this installer has been mis-
configured. Please contact the application author for assistance."
I did attempt to download a new copy of the installer, with the same result.you can download directly:

if you have a problem downloading, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.
the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com -

I receive this error when trying to run the download assistant. No error code so not sure what to do to fix.

I have tried to purchase Adobe Acrobat Professional XI this morning and payment (AED 1983.53) has been taken, I received a message stating there was/is a problem processing my order and that I should contact your customer service team in UAE. Having tried this, I was met with a recorded message, in Arabic, and no options to speak to anyone. I have found this process extremely frustrating and poor on your behalf. Not providing any options to speak to an Adobe representative is equally annoying. Please get back to me ASAP, as I need to use the product immediately.
CS2 is very old and reached its "end of life" a while back. So probably won't run on modern operating systems. If you can still run it, you'll need to uninstall what you have and re-install with the download link below to activate it.

Ivan please choose the default location of your User directory to download the install files. Once the software is downloaded you can then install to your Program Files/Applications folder depending on your operating system.

Itunes says this computer has been previously synced
I am running Snow Leopard and have Itunes 10.6.3 and IOS 5.1.1 Iphone 4, yesterday I plugged in my phone and itunes poped up and says" this computer has been previously synced with an Iphone or other iOS device" this is my personal computer and no one has synced it and I lasted syned my phone August 23th.
Its now asking me to setup a new phone or restore from the August 23rd , I tried restarting but nothing happened so I resorted to clicking restore from last back up and after 20 min of restoring it still shows setup as new phone or restore ( I tried it twice) after I plug in my phone
any idea guys and any help is appreciatedI just updated to 10.7 and its still showing restore or set up as new...
