Trying to download iPhoto 9.4.2

Running Mountain Lion and have Iphoto 9.4.1.  Ap store advises there is an update available but when I click on it I get the following:
iPhoto is already installed on this computer. Choose Software Update from the Apple menu to check for available updates.  When I select Software update it just sends me back to the same place in the I store

Thanks TD. Tried the reset and it seemed to be working properly but when I tried to download  a couple more photos later in the day I got the same message from iPhoto that there were no new photos to download.  Tried the reset again and it is still not working.

  • Im trying to download Iphoto to my mac and it wont

I am trying to download Iphoto to my imac and I am running 10.6.8 but it is telling me that I have to have the 10.7.5 or later and I fon't know what to do.  Can anyone help?  Thanks

Try purchasing Mac OS X 10.8. If you get told it's incompatible, choose About this Mac from the Apple menu, check that the computer has at least a Core 2 Duo(not Core Duo) or better CPU and at least 2GB RAM, and if it does, phone the online Apple Store and order a download code for Lion. Doing this may require purchasing other upgrades, such as upgrading Office 2004 to 2008 or newer.
Alternatively, buy an iLife 11 DVD from a source such as Amazon or eBay. This is the only method available for Core Solo or Core Duo Macs, or if you want to buy the last version of iDVD or iWeb.

Upgrade Paths to Snow Leopard, Lion, and/or Mountain Lion
You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99. To access the App Store you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later installed.
    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard — Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.
         Snow Leopard General Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
           2. 1GB of memory
           3. 5GB of available disk space
           4. DVD drive for installation
           5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
               fees may apply.
           6. Some features require Apple’s iCloud services; fees and
               terms apply.
    Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mountain Lion, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service — this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
         Lion System Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
               or Xeon processor
           2. 2GB of memory
           3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
           4. 7GB of available space
           5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.
    Upgrading to Mountain Lion
To upgrade to Mountain Lion you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Purchase and download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mountain Lion is $19.99 plus tax. The file is quite large, over 4 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
OS X Mountain Lion — System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) — Model Identifier 7,1 or later
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) —
                 Model Identifier 5,1 or later
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) — Model Identifier 2,1 or later
             5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             7. Xserve (Early 2009) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.
    Are my applications compatible?
See App Compatibility Table — RoaringApps.

  • I just got my mac, and created a apple id. but when i tried to download iphoto, it said it was already used by a nother id! what should i do

i just got my mac, and created a apple id, but when i tried to accept iphoto from the app store, it said: these app cannot be accepted by your apple id. it was already asigned to another id's purchases list. if you don't have accsess to that apple ID and want to receive future updates you will need to purchase.
but i shoulndt have to buy iphoto, should i? what should i do????

    Content and Apple IDs -
Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple Id to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with another Apple ID with a new ID.

  • Can't download iPhoto from App store to my MacBook

    Hi
I have been trying to  download iPhoto from the desktop app store to my MacBook Pro. No probs downloading other apps. Signed in with my Apple ID to make the purchase etc. After I click on "Install" it loads up - takes quite a while -  then nothing happens and it seems not to complete - it just shows the "Install" button again and I have to go through it all again, with the same result!  Help! It's so annoying!

Contact the support on the App Store. You've bought it but they haven't managed to deliver it.
    Regards

  • Fail to download iPhoto on App Store...Os X Maverick 10.9.2

I just recently updated to Maverick. Everything works great except when trying to download iPhoto keep gets fail messages. i already made purchased iPhoto and is in my cloud but can't download it. Please help. I've been trying to download for several days already still get fail message after a few minutes in download process.

That's actually an issue with the Mac App Store,  and as you paid for the app they have to deliver it. So contact App Store support. There's a link on the right hand side of the App Store Window.

  • Downloading iphoto for lion 10.7.5

trying to download iPhoto for my iMac.  Operation system is OS X Lion 10.7.5.  Is it possible to get iPhoto on my computer?

The currently sold version iPhoto 9.6 requires Yosemite. But you could buy an iLIfe '11 installer DVD at Amazon. That will include iPhoto '11. You can update that version using the updaters at Apple's support page.

  • Accept button instead of Install button when trying to reinstall iPhoto after Clean install

    Hi All,
I recentely did a clean install for my Lion OS.
Everything works fine, except iPhoto was missing.
I opened the App Store app on the mac, and was able to successfully update GarageBand and iMove.
However, it didn't give me the option to update iPhoto as it did when I opened the mac out of the box.
I then went to the iPhoto page, and instead of "install" button I now have an "Accept" button.
When pressing on the accept button, I get the following error message:
"These apps have already been accepted.
"These apps were already assigned to your Apple ID and are available in your Purchases list."
iPhoto is neither present on the Purchases list nor in the update tab.
    Will apprecaite suggestions.
    Thank you

    Hi Caroloine,
    Thank you for your response.
I already have the 10.7.2 update. Doesn't help.
Also, the link you specifited is about downloading past purchases from iTunes Store, or the iPhone/iPad App store. I am trying to downloading iPhoto for the Mac from the Mac App Store (the App Store that is installed on the dock). I don't think it is the same stores.
After your suggestion though, just to be sure, I tried to seach iPhoto (for Lion) on the iTunes Store, but I don't think you can buy it there. It just give you iPhono/iPad results when searching for iPhoto, and I couldn't find iPhoto in any preveriously purchased list on itunes.
    Any other suggestions?

  • Trying to update iPhoto library and sync

I have two MacBooks: 1 is running OSX 10.6.8 with iPhoto 8.1.2, and the other is running OSX 10.5.8 with iPhoto 7.1.5.  I had about 22 gigs of pictures on each computer, so I recently combined them on an external hard drive using iPhoto Library Manager.
I am simply trying to find a way to store the pictures on a hard drive and access it on either computer, but I am unable to do so. If I open the library on iPhoto 8.1.2, it tells me "The photo library needs to be upgraded to work with this version of iPhoto" but I don't want to do that because then I will be unable to open the pictures on my other computer. If I try to open the library on iPhoto 7.1.5, it tells me "you can't open your current photo library using this version of iPhoto. You have made changes to your photo library using a newer version of iPhoto. Please quit and use the latest version of iPhoto."
I have tried updating, but Software Update does not tell me I need any new software, and when I tried to download iPhoto 8.1.2, it told me my computer didn't need the upgrade. What should I do?

You need to have the same version of iPhoto on both machines. That means updating the v7 to a v8 (or, in marketing terms, you'll need to buy and iLife 09 disk somewhere and install from that. Try Amazon or Ebay.)

  • How do i download iPhoto if it isn't available in the canadian store?

I am trying to download iPhoto for my Macbook Pro, but it says it is unavailable in the Canadian store. When I choose to change store there is an error message.

Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
Install the App from the App Store.
Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4928
One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.
