Trying to download new software and it goes through whole process, stops and says "error...check network connectivity" although I am online.
Is anyone else having trouble downloading the newest software update for the iphone? I have tried to run it several times, only to keep getting the error message. I am online and it is telling me the network has timed out.
Start by working through the suggestions in this Apple support document. The cause could be any AntiVirus or Security you have installed and running on your system.

If you want, you could also use Hiren's BootCD to make a bootable CD with many options and programs on it (I keep one, just for certain situations) that will allow you to do the same things.

Just installed Mac OS X 10.8.5 on a Mac Pro 2010 platform.
The App Store shows there is an upgrade, so I click the download button.
After about 2 hrs the process stops and an Error (102) appears on the screen.
Any idea what goes wrong?

If the App Store is showing 10.8.5 as an update, what do you currently have installed? The final update to Mountain Lion was 10.8.5, and since the basic OS installation of Mountain Lion is no longer offered in the App Store, that would suggest you're currently at an earlier version of Mountain Lion - 10.8.x where x=less than 5. If that's the case, I'd suggest getting the 10.8.5 update. There is also a Supplemental Update for 10.8.5 and that may be what the App Store is offering. -
Got a new iphone5 and cannot log into iMessages keep getting same message to check network connection and try again. Tried changing password as suggested but nothing is working any suggestions?

Can't connect to Facetime or messages on iPod touch. When I try to sign in, message says to check network connection and try again. I have tried multiple times with both apps with the same result. There is nothing wrong with my internet connection as I am able to check my e-mail and all of the other apps that require wifi so I can't figure out what the problem is. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

when i watch videos on my iphone 5 my wifi buffers the video and then halfway through it just stops and all wifi stops working on my device. i need to switch back off and on the wifi then it works but the same thing happens every time for videos. I have a late 2008 Macbook with the 10.6.8 software. I am trying to download the new 10.9.1. I go through the app store and click download, but it does nothing. What do I need to do to get it downloaded? I am basically trying to get the new Pages downloaded (which requires the new software) so I can use it for school and have it communicate through Icloud with my IPad and IMac when needed.

What is the problem when all you get is a picture of a charging cord and the itunes logo? I tried hooking up to my computer and itunes and it said I could not download the new software while it was in recovery mode but it won't let me do anything else. Any ideas?
I hope you have a backup if you don't want to lose your iPad contents. You have to restore the iPad now using iTunes on your computer. That's what the message on the screen means.

He likely has a 1G (original) iPod touch. Those can only go to iOS 3.1.3. A 2G can go to 4.2.1.

Do you remeber the exact (or close to it) wording of the error message?
Try manually placing the iPod in Recovery mode and then try to restore
Next try DFU mode.

You can also try another computer to help determine if you have an iPod or computer problem. -
