Trying to download new version of itunes
Trying to download the new version of itunes onto my DELL computer & it aburptly stops installing because "proble with the window installer package". What is that & how do I correct the problem?

Repair your Apple Software Update.
Go to START/ALL PROGRAMS/Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install
If you donot find ASU from All Programs, go to Control Panel/Add and Remove programs.

Please help as I am trying to reload new version of Itunes. I have followed all advice I could find in removing apple files and itune files etc...Now when I try to download it asks me if i want to save itunes setup_exe and when i select that option I get a message that says could not be downloaded. I just traded up for the new Iphone 5c. Trying to sync my old info and apps onto my new phone, but it says I need the new version of Itunes... I downloaded it, but my itunes is still the old version and it wont accept my phone. WHAT DO I DO?? Do I have to uninstall the old Itunes first??

Trying to Download New version of iTunes; QuickTime isnt working...
I've tried downloading the latest version of iTunes multiple times but each time I do i get this message: QuickTime failed to initialize(error-2096) QuickTime is required to run iTunes. Please reinstall iTunes.

The latest iTunes which is 10.7 does indeed require Mac OS X 10.6.8 or newer. What version of Mac OS X are you running and on what model Mac?

How are you trying to download? I get a download link off the iTunes download page on the Apple web site.

I am running windows xp. Trying to download latest version of iTunes and get error message: Microsoft Visual C Rundtime Library. Runtime Error. Program:C\ProgramFiles\iTunes\iTunes.exe. R6034 An appliction has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. Please contact the appliction's support team for more information.
2nd/ message: iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7(Windows error 1114)
I have removed iTunes serveral time and tried to reinstall many times and get the same results noted above.

There have been reports that some such utilities treat an upgrade to iTunes as a new application and can block the application from connecting. If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the disk image (dmg) file to the desktop

Downloaded new version of itunes, and then subsequently performed a sync on my ipod nano as I had purchased a new song from itunes store. I now only have 25 songs on my ipod as it removed all of my other music. My music is stored on an external drive. I downloaded the music there from cd's that I own. Can anyone help me fix this. I am going on holidays soon and want to have my ipod loaded with music for the trip. Thanks

First of all, your music is not gone. Its there, I promise. Second of all, you need to always make sure you backup your music elsewhere because funky things happen and computers do take nosedives.
Ok, go into File on the iTunes Task bar and click on add folder to library. Your music files should be under my documents>my music. Let me know how it goes...
