Basically, I want the HD versions for my hard drive but I want the SD versions on my iPod classic, iPad and iPhone.

When I go into bookmarks and click on a site, the screen shows what appears to be a compass with a lock overlay, on a black background. At the bottom the address/url are shown. Thanks to the-edmeister and cor-el, for speed of response. I had not inadvertently moved the Bookmarks-Toolbar : I was confronted with the situation right after Firefox 9 had installed and unfolded in front of me. At first, the toolbar area looked reassuringly familiar, but when I started normal work, I discovered the lack of tabs and the only reference I could see to TABS was a tiny button inviting me to group tabs (which was unhelpful to say the least, filling up the screen with tiny unreadable windows). Sure, there were tabs forming, but they were invisible, unless I used the group button. Eventually, I was brave enough to use "reset toolbars" and the tabs came back in the way I want them, but it was a traumatic 2-3 hours out of my life. I kept on "adding a new toolbar" to see if I could make use of it; I kept giving them names, but it is impossible to see where the new tool bar is! (the toolbars don't have a little bit to grab at one end). In my opinion, Firefox should not have allowed the Tab Bar and the Bookmarks Toolbar to become caught up with each other - they have completely different functions. I don't think I would like to play around with "Make a new profile"! I was so desperate that I have already downloaded version 3.6 again, ready to install, for if I was unable to resolve the version 9 problems above.

I tried updating iTunes to version 11.1.1, but installation fails each time even when I did it manually as was suggested. The message I receive is: "The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2324."

I wasn't able to install the new version of iTunes (version 11.1.1). The installation keeps failing. The they suggested the I install it manually and that failed too. I will attach the message I received.

Well when the indsatalltion failed I was given instructions to select Download Only from Tools and then install manually. When I did it, I window popped up with the following items: - AppleApplicationSupport

I selected Repair in all of them instead of Remove and all worked but iTunes64

I completely understand what you're saying. Since that Repair did not resolve the issue, our best option is to uninstall iTunes and its components and redownload it. To do this, we will follow the steps in this article: Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8

First, we will want to quit iTunes and/or Apple Software Update if those are open at this time.

This error code is not something that I am finding in my sources, Samia. So there is a chance that it is being caused with the Windows computer itself. If i understand what you are saying then you are seeing the WiFi indicator after connecting but Apps are saying that they are not connected to the internet?
Your router may not have given your iPod a valid IP address. Go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the ">" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix can be to restart your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPod (Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings) and then attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.
If you need more help please give more details on your network, i.e., your router make, model and version, the wifi security being used (WEP, WPA, WPA2), etc. -

When I go to my downloads folder on my dock and click the file all the content shows up but as soon as I go to open it in the finder, I get a blank window. I have garage band ver 10.0.2 and am trying to add effects to an audio track but i have no info button or track info under the track tab. How do i get these things to show up on my program?
In GarageBand 10.0.2 you can no longer add all kinds of effects freely; this GarageBand '11 feature has been discontinued. Pick one of the predefined patches that already has the effects you want.
However, you can add effects from the predefined audio units.
You'll see the predefined effects on the track, when you open the Smart Controls. To add audio units, click the button and enlarge the the smart controls pane by dragging the dividing line to the Track Area upwards. -
Greetings, I am working in Final Cut Pro 7. In the timeline some clips show as offline. I tried going to sequence and reconnecting to media but it does not work. I can still see the video in the timeline and work with it. It just has the red box. Thanks! Olga
If the clips are not actually missing, you could try to refresh the timeline by using cmd-0 and then going to the timeline options tab. Then select name only where it says "thumbnail display". Press ok to accept the change, then repeat the process to add thumbnails back to your timeline.

if you cant download them > email the iTunes Store emaill support adn explian the situation adn they will give you a regrant of all your purchases.

I just upgraded to the 5s. I have several mail accounts and I'm getting a message that says: "can not get mail, the connection to the server failed" . Now I'm confused because all the mail shows up perfectly.
