Trying to embed PDF in Flash website

I've had great luck embedding a PDF in an html page through
pasting the "copy embedded code" into the html code, but is there
any way to embed one of these suckers into a Flash video (webpage)?
I just can't see how?

Trying To Add UIScrollbar To Flash Website But FLA File Has No Layers

I was asked to add content to a flash website page... When I open the FLA file, there are aboslutely no layers for me to work with. I found an .as file that contained the page content and so I added the needed content there. But this is where I run into a problem. I'm fairly new to flash so perhaps this is common. After adding the additional content, the content now extends vertically and beyond the page borders. In doing research, I discovered that the solution is to change the TextField to "dynamic" and add a UIScrollbar during the build. I've learned to do this but the problem remains that I don't have any layers to modify for this particular website. Can someone explain why or how I can find the layers for this file? I am using Flash CS3... and unsure what version the original designer was using. I guess another option is to add a UIScrollbar to the website by modifying the .as file directly. Can this be done? Please help!

It appears that the only items in the library are movie clips and a couple bitmaps. Here is a screenshot of my FLA file when opened in Adobe Flash: http://www.flashvideopro.net/images/flash_screenshot.jpg. Any ideas from what you see? I'm fairly new to Flash, but I have never before opened up an existing flash file for a flash website without seeing the layers for the site. Apparantly there are different ways to create flash content? Could it be that the textlayer I am looking for is hidden in a movie clip? And if that's the case would this be editable? I menitoned in my original post that I can actually edit the page in the main.as page as you see in this image. But I have no clue how to add a UIScrollbar without having the textlayer in front of me. The FLA file I am trying to edit is for global and trendy links (dot) com.

Contribute error message when trying to embed PDF's

I am trying to insert an embedded PDF as a new webpage on my website. I can get it to work fine and embed the PDF, but then I try to resize the PDF so that when I open the webpage the PDF takes up the whole page and not just a small corner. Any thoughts on how to change the size of how the PDF looks on the page? I have been trying to use the outline feature, by clicking and dragging to make it bigger, but everytime I use it my contribute freezes up and I get an error message saying Contribute has encountered a problem and needs to close. This has happen about 6 times now. Any help or suggestions appreciated:) Thanks.

Crashes when trying to open PDF and flash plugin has crashed

Followed the directions that are on the troubleshooting for this problem and the "reset" was gray therefore I could not complete this action. No matter what I did I could not get this action the highlight or complete.

Older versions of Gearbox had been known to crash LE and Garage band at times. However, recent updates of the drivers have made it rock solid well, for me at least.
Run the Line6 monkey in Gearbox and it will tell you if you are up to date and update any drivers of firmware that are out of date.
FYI, I run the gearbox application first and then boot up LE, but have also done it the other way around with no problems.
Its also not ideal to record on to the HD of your Mac.
It should be ok to get started with and as long as the project is small and not running too many plug ins and tracks. But strongly suggest you get an external FW HD soonest as you get more proficient and your projects start to get bigger and more intensive.

How to embed audio to my website using quicktime when I get "file not found

i've been trying to embed audio into my website all night and I get a file not found message even though I;ve checked 100 times and all files are where links say they should be..
but even just linking to audio (mp4) files won't work...
everything is o.k. with non-audio links on my website - only the mp4 audio can't be found.
can anyone help me? or post the correct code?

Start to build my first flash website

I've learned actionscript form resources like video and
books. i read some serious tutorials and did many practices and
small projects. I'm trying to build my first flash website. do i
need to learn Flex? or anything else? do i need to study some other
courses? My problem is where to start. what's a structure of a
professional and serious full flash website? links? components (if
any)? and ... yes i've worked on small swf files. creating
actionscript effects, building some easy components before but i'm
sure they are not enough. and one more thing! is there any good
practical (and specially free!) tutorials based on this concept?

Your first question: subjective to your skillset. http://Zen-Cart.com has their own tutorials/FAQ/Forum that has plenty of information on the subject. Make your determination from the information they provide. It's free... download it and try it yourself to find out, perhaps?
Second question: you would not build additional product pages. There's only one product page that is populated with data from, wait for it... you guessed it, a database. If you're unfamiliar with working with database data then familiarize yourself with it if you wish to work on dynamic shopping carts.
I recommend http://Cartweaver.com if you want to work in Dreamweaver on the design and coding of the cart. It is very easy to implement your design into a cartweaver shopping cart.

Embed pdf in website, show one page at a time, with forward and back controls?

Not sure if this is possible (or if this is the right place to ask), but I need to take a multiple page pdf, embed it in a website so its on the left half of the screen, have it only show one page at a time, and have the forward and back page controls.
Is this possible, and if so, could someone point me in the right direction?

Typically you would save it to a JPeg and post those on the web site. Expecting a PDF to show up depends on the client computer configuration and browser. This is too risky, unless you don't mind getting nasty little notes that it does not work. If you do it with JPegs, then all the browsers I know of can handle it. Then simply put the PDF separately for those who prefer to download the PDF and look at it separately.

Grey Screen and Spinning Circle When Trying to open a PDF from a website

I tried to view a pdf from a website and a little window popped up. At the time i thought it was to save the pdf but i guess it was in fact asking me to find the adobe acrobat program. I quit out of it and now keep getting the grey screen and spinning circle when i try to download the pdf. How do I get it so i can open pdfs if find on websites? thanks!

Your template contains an IE Conditional Comment that is adding 30px of top padding to #sidebar1. This padding may required in older versions of IE but not IE9.

To fix it, change [if IE] to [if lt IE 9]

Trying to embed font in pdf

I am trying to embed a font in a pdf - I have the fonts on my local machine but when the pdf is sent out to a client they only see blobs. I have looked for an option to embed and there isnt anything on the pdf for this. I looked in the help and it said to go to Touchup tool - but I dont have that either. Can anybody help? The two fonts I am using MetaOT-Book and GoudyCatalogBT. I am using adobe 9. I am exporting a Crystal Reports file into a pdf file.

Firefox hanging when trying to load any flash website on Win2008R2

After updating to Firefox 14 and to the 11.3 flash Firefox will hang on every flash website I try to view on a Win2008R2 server.
I can reproduce this on several machines after installing the latest Flash update and it does not repro if I disable the flash plug in.
I have already tried completely uninstalling everything from scratch on this server with no results, including deleting all files related to flash and FF.

Try re-enabling Flash and then disable hardware acceleration in Adobe Flash Player's Display settings, which you can access by right-clicking any Flash object or by right-clicking the Flash logo on this page and selecting "Settings" (you may need to switch to the Display tab, by clicking the first icon on the bottom of the Adobe Flash Player Settings window),:

Embed Flash Animation Inside Flash Website

Hello,
I have created a flash website and I want my features button
to load and play a features movie (or animation) when it is
clicked. I know how to actionscript already and add buttons and
event listeners. My main objective is to avoid adding the features
movie into the flash website's timeline because i think it will
greatly increase the file size and therefore loading time of the
site. Since the features movie is passive and only needed when the
user clicks the features button, it should be stored in a separate
file or timeline so that it doesn't load with the main website. The
feature movie should only be loaded and played when the user click
the feature button. Is there any way to do this with flash or am I
stuck working in the website's timeline and using stop() and
gotoAndPlay() in actionscript?

Slices Made In PS CS5 "Break Up" When Trying To Embed Video

Try and make this short and sweet. Have been searching and asking other places. I made a website in PS CS5, and exported slices, to Dreamweaver. When trying to embed Flash(Via HTML or Insert/Media), the video won't go "On" to the section/slice I'm trying for. It, pushes it over, basically. Same thing happens with Quicktime. I had started the website in Dreamweaver, using a template and HTML, and when doing the same, it works fine. I can make a "Hotspot", but then will have to make a number of new pages, and prefer the video to just pop up. Any help is appreciated.

Whenever someone tries to embed a PDF file into a Word document, the following error occurs:
The program used to create this object is AcroExch. That program is either not installed on your computer or it is not responding. To edit this object, install AcroExch or ensure that any dialog boxes in AcroExch are closed.
I have looked at alot of articles online that say to 'Disable' Protected Mode. This does not resolve the issue. This option is not set by default in our environment.
Do we have any confirmation or information from Adobe on this issue?
