Trying to export to a File Folder

I'm trying to export an album to a directory using the following:
Share--> Export--> File Export
I'm using the options of Use Album Name and Original format.
When I click export I'm presented with a Folder name, but I cannot find this folder or the picutres after I perform the export..
When I try to Find the folder name in Finder it cannot be located..
Am I doing something wrong? Pls advise

Hi jhersey,
Did you create a new folder in the export window? what is the name of the folder?
Where did you create this folder?
For example:
When I export images, I first click the desktop in the export window because I want to export them to the desktop folder. Next I create a new folder (the button for created a new folder is on the bottom left of the export window) and name it, then click the export button.
My new folder I created is sitting on the desktop and the images are exported to this folder.

You can't import MPEG-2 files directly to FCP X.
Can you play this file in Quicktime Player? If so, then you can use the free program MPEG Streamclip to convert this to Quicktime. Use the ProRes codec.

I am trying to export the PDF file and conversion fails every time. File is too large of too complex. What do I do? One file is about 55 mb and the other is 58 mb.

Try extracting part of the file and see if the extracted part can be Exported. If so, repeat with the next set of pages. When done, try to load all into the first file.

  • Trying to Export an .MOV file to a .WMV file

I am trying to export an .mov file to a .wmv file using Quicktime 7.0 Pro. It exports the file fine, but it does not convert the entire file, the last part of the file is not there. The .mov file is 1 min and 16 secs long, and the exported .wmv file only comes out 29 sec long. Anyone have any ideas why it would do this? Thanks.

You can use VisualHub to convert to WMV without restrictions.
It's only available in the wild, because it's no longer supported. You can also download it on this page:
    http://www.wyodor.net/MoreEmbed/embedmedia.html
Edit: To convert WMV to a h264/AAC movie without restrictions you need the Beta version of the free Flip4Mac for Snow Leopard.
It contains a bug that was later fixed. [Read my blog about it|http://translate.google.nl/translate?js=y&prev=t&hl=nl&ie=UTF-8&layout=1&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.wyodor.net%2Fblog%2Farchives %2F10-01-200910-31-2009.html&sl=nl&tl=en] (Google translation, so smile) where you can download the Beta. Simply Install it and be happy.

  • Why do I sometimes get an error message when trying to export as mp3 file?

I'm using a Intel Core Duo Imac 2 Ghz with 2 meg memory and just upgraded to iLife 08. I was excited to see that Garageband will now let you save/export your projects as MP3 files. But I sometimes get an error message, i.e., -46 or some such number, when I try to save/export the project to iWeb. What is causing this? If I save the same project as an AAC file everything is fine. Go figure. I was really looking forward to Apple doing this in this release and won't be happy until it works perfectly. For your information I record a audio podcast and export the recorded file to iWeb and publish the site to .mac. So I'm a loyal Apple customer. My site is a gay oriented website and the new features of iWeb , including Photo albums can be viewed there. I'll email the link to anyone interested.

I know man what your saying. I should have written it down when it happened last night. I figured if anyone had had the same issue they might know the reason. I'll try doing a test recording today and see if the same issue arises. Meanwhile, if anyone has this happen to them please let me know. Thanks

  • TRYING TO EXPORT TO PDF FILE GIVE INTERNAL SERVER ERROR

    Hi,
I am trying to get the PDF export functionality working.
I followed the technote: Rendering Oracle HTMLDB Reports as PDFs Using Formatting Objects Processor.
My DBA have placed the fop-0.20.5 directory in the $ORACLE_HOME/oc4j/j2ee.
    IE. ora10>/appl/oracle/product/10.2.0/oc4j/j2ee/fop-0.20.5> ls
    CHANGES ReleaseNotes.html docs lib
    KEYS STATUS examples xalan.bat
    LICENSE build fop.bat xalan.sh
    README conf fop.sh
However the oc4j does not appear. Is there additional configurations needed for the oc4j? The
documentation does not provide any details.
My question is regarding the server, is it enough to install the HTTP server from the companion CD?
My DB is Oracle 10g and my APEX Version is 1.6
    Thanks for any advise!

  • What is an Error -8961 that is returned when trying to export a .mov file as an MPEG-4 file

I'm trying to view some .mov videos on Windows using QTPro.  I get audio, but no video.  I am trying to work around this by exporting the file to some other format and perhaps using another player.  MP4 seems obvious, but any attempts to export generates this error.
The files were originally generated by a GoPro, and uploaded to a MacBook running OS X

  • Trying to export downloaded movie files to IPOD format

I recently purchased the ipod video and I am trying to add music videos and clips that I had downloaded onto my computer. I followed the steps given on the quicktime website. I open up Quicktime 7Pro > file > open file > click on the movie clip i want > file > export > set it to "movie to ipod (320 x 240)". It converts but when I try to play the movies all I get is a white screen. Some have the correct sound but some, the sound comes all distorted. I wen to the FAQ but it didn;t help. it just told me to download codecs but didn't tell me what or where to download. Could you please help me? Also some movies I have been able to convert comes w/ no sound because its is MUXED or something like that. Is there anyway I can fix that too?
    Thank you

QT will not convert the sound from mpeg-1 or mpeg-2 files. They are muxed, meaning the sound and video are both contained in a single track. In other files types the sound and video are in separate tracks. QT Mpeg Limitations
For the muxed files you can try this freeware that does export both sound and video from mpegs. It has a setting to export to mpeg-4 video, which should play on your iPod. The site offers both Mac and Windows XP versions of the freeware. Mpeg StreamClip
I don't know why you get the white screen for some of the movies. That usually means the video is encoded with a compression method you don't have. What I don't understand is how you could have encoded it and not have the decompressor. You can find the name of the missing codec by opening in the Player and using Show Movie Info in the Windows menu. Perhaps someone here will be able to help you find the right decompressor for those..

  • Many of my images have disappeared while trying to export/convert a file down to a PDF

I am making a portfolio for a submission, so when I finished, I was converting/saving it to a PDF file. I was trying to make the file smaller as to fit in the required submission size. As I was doing that, many of my images disappeared. A lot of them seem to be images I brought over from Adobe Illustrator. Some linked files are gone, while others remain. I am confused how this happened. Even some text that I generated within InDesign is now gone. I sadly saved before I realized this, so when I reopened it, the blank pages remained. Some of the images though have the context/frame boxes still, but no images. Any help?
I'm using InDesign 2014 and I am using a MAC

Can you detect the missing images in the Links panel?

  • Trying to export original jpeg file # in Lightroom

I cannot seem to exprt my images and retain the orginal jpeg file number once I have watermarked them... I choose the "save with original file number" option in the dop down list but it still exports them with new numbers.
How do I keep my original numbers?

    It makes no sese.
Not sure what exactly you're doing here.
I mean, you need to import (copying) from card to hard disk, and when doing so, the image filenumber is used in filename if you insert
    'Filename number suffix'
or just don't rename upon import.
Filenumber should then be preserved in filename - can you get that far successfully?
Then, when exporting, you choose a rename template with
    'Original number suffix'
or just don't rename upon export
and filenumber should be in exported file too - is this where the ball is getting dropped?
PS - feel free to post actual filenames, screenshots, files, ... - the devil is often in the details, and so far you've not provided all.

  • I am trying to export a PDF file into excel and it shows an error which says,

There is absolutely no way to stop any file you put on the internet from being downloaded. That's how the internet works.
Digital Rights Management can control who can OPEN a copy of a file and when. If you are a big company with 5-6 figure budget, this can be interesting.

  • Batch Exporting of Different File Extensions

Just a quick question for you Aperture Gurus. (Aperture 2)
When exporting a large number of files of differnt file extension types, do you do all of them at once, or separte them into their different file extensions then batch export them.
    An expample might be:
Eporting jpeg and raw files within a common album or file. I have been creating different albums, and batch exporting depending on the file extension. Has anyone tried batch exporting with different file types with success?
    Thanks
    Dan

I taling about the original files. Lets say I have at least 2 different master files, jpeg, and, Canon RAW in the same folder or album. Now lets say I want to batch or bulk export them all in one shot. Both jpeg, and RAW exported in one function. I set the export presets that I would like, and hit the export button with both the RAW and jpeg selected.
Do you see any concerns with doing this? I currently separate all my different files, jpeg, RAW, TIFF, etc, so I keep the exporting from messing up. I haven't actually tried mixing file types in an export function.
I'm just wondering if anyone has had any sucess with mixed file type exports?
    Thanks
    Dan
