Trying to Export to iMovie HD

I created a great keynote presentation and converted it to a highest quality Quicktime movie. It looks great, but when I import it to iMovie in order to add audio, the video quality stinks. Am I doing something wrong as I export it out of Keynote? I wanted to use a variety of music, not just one song in a continuous loop, that is why I was trying to do the audio portion in iMovie. Is there a better way to create a series of sound clips from my iTunes library into one audio file, and then add it to the Keynote presentation or the Quicktime movie without using iMovie at all? I have a great presentation with great resolution, but no audio to fit it. VERY frustrating! Don't worry, I am posting the same question in the iMovie section as well. Thanks!

You could use Garageband to combine songs for a background track and add the song to Keynote. Have you tried this?

    Turn off Time Machine before you open iMovie. It's a semi-known issue right now.

  • Rendering error 50 when trying to export in iMovie 10.0.1

    I am trying to export a 74 minute video and I keep getting "Share failed" with a rendering 50 error.  I have tried to export to a thumb drive, to the desktop and to youtube and none have worked. Any help?

    I had the same issue recently with non HD videos I re-edited recently.  AppleCare could not help.  Here's what I did and it worked.
    1.  First, I checked the partial shared video on my desktop and noted where it stopped.  I then trimmed or deleted the clip just after where it stopped.
    2.  Then, I closed iMovie and rebooted my iMac, then tried Share again.  I got this to work.  ***** to lose part or all of a clip.  It seems iMovie didn't like some of my clips, or they were corrupted somehow in the capture process.
    Hope this helps, Eddie

  • Fix for the hanging/exporting from Imovie back to camera tape??

    I've been trying to export my Imovie back to Hi 8 tape on my Sony trv480 camcorder and it hangs on both my Imac and my Ibook. I have plenty of memory and have tried all the suggestions that people have made here on the website and nothing works. I hope there is some help out there somewhere because it seems like plenty of other people have had the same problem.

    Hi Mary Ellen
    There are miniDV Cameras pref bought in Europe that has the recording
    facility (from analog-in or FW-in) disabled because of tax issue.
    If so then You can't record back to Camera until You let a Service shop
    turn recording on - at a rather pricey cost.
    I don't think thay made something this stupid in USA.

  • Screen recording becomes blurry after exporting to iMovie

    After creating a screen recording using Quicktime (and the video is perfectly clear), I am trying to export to iMovie to edit the video more easily and to add an audio track. However, once the video is turned into an iMovie project, it is blurry. Still blurry after stabilization too. Please help!

    Is this a minimum information guessing game? Is this a "full" or "partial" screen recording? What are the actual dimensions of the screen capture? Was the capture made using QT or a third-party app? Did you perform a manual or automatic "export" or simply import the screen capture file to iMovie? In what type iMovie project are you editing the exported or imported screen captured file? Why are you stabilizing a screen recording? (I.e., the stabilization routine further rescales the content.)
    If I were merely to make a guess, It would be that your work flow is rescaling the content making it blurry in iMovie as compared to the original capture file.

  • Why does iDVD suddenly quit when I export an iMovie or when I double click iDVD icon??

    I have been trying to open iDVD. It comes up for about a second and then dissapears.. This also happens when I am trying to export an iMovie to iDVD. I have a Mac OSX.6.8

    Try this basic troubleshooting fix :
    1 - delete the IDVD preference file, com.apple.iDVD.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
    2 - delete IDVD'S cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
         User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iDVD folder.
    Click to view full size
    3 -try to  launch IDVD again.

    I also have Jolly's problem. I found the iMovie 9.0.9 folder and tried to launch the older version of iMove. It would not launch. I removed all of the iMovie preferences from the Preferences folder, removed iMove 10 from the applications folder, and restarted my Mac. iMove 9.0.9 still won't launch and I can't access my videos created with the older version of iMovie. Is there a way to uninstall iMovie 10 and reinstall iMovie 9.0.9?
