Trying to export to word

When I export to word, it makes weird changes. Cut and paste using the word doc created is a disaster. I thought I remembered seeing that using Word 2003 for this software may be a problem, and that's what I have.

I started having problems with Safari 3, uninstalled, reverted back to Safari 2 which didn't work either. Performed an archive and install of Tiger and now the Pages '08 document exports to MS Word.
Based on the fact that 2 of our 3 Macs were able to export okay and not very many others posting about problems I don't think it is a problem with Pages '08.
Consider checking your system using Disk Utility to "Verify disk" or if you have other strange happenings with your Mac try the archive and install. It is a pain to download and install the updates but it worked for me.

Pages shows error when trying to export to Word

Today, without doing any updates or making any changes to my MacBook, Pages has decided that it won't export documents to Word or PDF, showing me an error message after attempting to export. I've googled forums to try & find a solution, but all I can find is that it's something to do with Style. The Page documents are in exactly the same style etc as I was working on yesterday when I was successfully able to export documents to Word. Can anyone help please? I need to upload as Word documents for uni.

Have you tried to save any other pages file as Word, not only the documents for university?. Create a new file a write a word there then try to save it as a Word document. If it does, then the problem is in your University document as it may contain something incompatible with exporting to Word.

Error signing in when trying to export to word

Error when trying to export as Word document

Hello all, I'm having the an issue where no matter what kind of text or document i try to export from Pages 08', I get an error saying "An unknown error occurred" I tried deleting all the pages files and reinstalling the whole suite but i still get the same issue. Is anybody else experiencing this?

I'm trying to export a pages document to word, on a mac and keep getting "unknown error occurred" anyone else seen this

This is an old thread, so you have probably given up, but the problem is relatively easily solved. The issue is apparently bad or corrup, or missing fonts.
You can try to chase that down, but it is faster to simply try deleting half the document and exporting again. If that works, restore the deltion and delete half of that section. Keep doing this systematically until you have located the part of the document causing the problem. Often it is something pasted in from another document.
You can then export most of the document and then copy and paste the remaining bits over into Word.
This works with Keynote, too, where often the issue is just one slide.

The message is simple "An error occurred when signing in", not very useful.
I have reset my password several times and have obviously been able to login here with the same account.

Can anyone help with my problem. I have one document that just can't seem to be exported to Word. It doesn't have any special formatting. A footer with page numbers is the only special thing. Anyone have any ideas? I've tested other docs, and they seem to export fine, just this one document. There is nothing special to this document either. i've imported the original from Word, modified it as pages, then tried to export it again. Nothing. i've also copied and pasted the whole doc into a new sheet, and tried to save it again as word, nothing again. I'm running out of things to do on this

It probably have something that is corrupt. Sometimes one has to try to export to another format (if it can be done) like .rtf and the open in Pages again. Or copy and paste to a textEdit document, save it and open it in Pages. Last resort is to recreate the document.

You're using the Save As > Microsoft Word command in Acrobat (and what version are you using)? At what point does the status bar in the lower-right corner hang up (Pre-processing, Recontructing, and so on)? What type of content is there in the PDF, and how large is it? Are you having Acrobat run OCR on the file as it converts (you can check this by clicking Settings in the Save As dialog box)? Do you have trouble saving other PDF files as Word documents?
A lot of questions, I know. But I need to know a bit more about the document to determine why it's hanging up on export.

No, I did not use material with avid codec but I wanted to export to a .avi video.
2- What exactly are your clip settings and your sequence settings?
Cilp setting are HDV-1080i50

So I tried to change permissions of the Hard Disk with OS, then, one after another some windows appeared, here first of them, and a detail:
The system extension can´t be used
The system extension "/System/Library/ Extensions/ACard671xSCSI.kext" was not well instaled, the it can be used. Try to reinstal it or contact manofacturer to obtain a update.

Then, I turn off the computer (because it stop working with all those pop ups windows) and next time I tried to turn it on, it never restart again ( it turn in but never start the OS), therefore I restarted from the DVD.

     What format is the external drive?
I have the external disk in technical service, they will try to repair it. It was in MacPlus (registrered) format, configured in Raid 0 ( two hard disk enclosed together and working as one). Now, to recaptured the tapes for the project I have purchase another hard disk ( 1 T and configured it with MacPlus (registrered) format), this new hard disk is well detected by my computer.

Now, as I have said, I can´t open the FC Project.
I have tried to clean the user profile of FC and it doesn´t work either... need some advise..., thanks for your help!!

Getting an "Internal Error" while trying to export.. Please Help??????

I am using Windows 7 with photoshop cs5 on a PC. When i try and export an image to my canon printer I get a popup telling me that an "internal error has occured". What is wierd is everything was fine before and have used it a bunch of times then all of a sudden it stopped. I have tryed to unistall photoshop then reinstall and everything. I am trying to export to a canon plugin so i can print from photoshop. Any one have any ideas on how to fix this problem. I am extremely frustrated. Thanks

Yes that is all that pops up. Its really weird. When i export it gets about half way on the progress bar then a little box pops up saying " An Internal Error..." I don't remember all the words but it is less than 5 words. Never thought it could be the plugin. How do you delete a plug in that was installed on photoshop? Thanks
