Hi Raj,
The issue we were facing was an Netezza issue. When import table into the Netezza Data Warehouse we import table into the wrong structure. We simple moved the table over to the right structure within the Netezza Data Warehouse and we were able to preview data from Datasource.

Our current situation is that we have scheduled the jobs through Solution_manager > solution Reporting > BI Data collection. Yet no data has been collected and the jobs are getting cancelled.
Has anyone come accross this same situation before? Plus I have just found out that on SOLMAN_WORKCENTER under System Monitoring there is a reporting step named IT PERFORMANCE reporting that needs to be configured.
Please advice since this will be critical for our busines.

Hi,expert. Happy new year. I met a problem today,when I use TCODE RSA3 to extract data of datasource ,0APO_MSP_CHECK_ORDER,I got an error.

Hi,
Can any one of you suggest me an idea or let me know where to start and how to start ?
I want to write a ABAP code/ create a Function Modules which extracts data from a DATASOURCE be it any on condition(say date) and the output given should be filtered on some fields
Does a standard datasource be extracted using a custom FM?
Are there any standard FM to do this?

What happened?
    Error in the ABAP Application Program
    The current ABAP program "SAPLFAGL_FSV" had to be terminated because it has
    come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
Error analysis
    An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
    The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB', was not caught
     in
    procedure "FSV_TEXTS_CONVERT" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING
     clause.
    Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
    exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
    The reason for the exception is:
    If you use an ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert to insert a record in
    the database and that record already exists with the same key,
    this results in a termination.
    (With an ABAP/4 Open SQL single record insert in the same error
    situation, processing does not terminate, but SY-SUBRC is set to 4.)

This dump occurs if the storage of original files is not happening in a Content Server, which is recommended by SAP. You can check this easily if you go to transaction DC10 and check if the flag 'Use KPRO' is set for the used document type.
SAP do not recommend storing such larger files in SAP DB. If you try to store any original in the SAP DB, the file will be stored in the table DRAO. That means you are consuming table space memory. For one original we can have maximum of 9999 rows in the table. To store larger originals in SAP DB more than 9999 rows in the table are needed and this is not possible. That's the reason behind this dump. Storing such huge files inthe SAP DB will also affect the performance of the system while accessing the original

Trying to Extract data from CRM Table(BUT100)

         I have big problem while loading data from Table BUT100 through Generic Datasource, situation like this I have table in the CRM system BUT100 with BPartner and BPRole contains Duplicate Records which we need to bring load this duplicate record to BW where I am loading data through Master data it has given error with duplicate records and tried with ODS here it has loaded but it brought ubique values because we have only two fields which we should put 1 key field and 1 data field,
So Is there any way to bring this data to BW, Please suggest me.

Extract data from Flat file CSV to SQL Server 2008 using SSIS 2008 (Data gets corrupted when extraction)

I am trying to extract data from multiple CSV files to SQL into a single table. The data type of all the columns in SQL table is nvarchar(MAX). I am able to extract the data from the flat files but some of the data(on extraction) is
corrupt including question marks(?) and other invalid special characters. Also I tried selecting the UTF-8, 65001(Unicode) format but the problem still persists. Also I tried using data converter but no use.
I checked with the data in the flat file but there is no data with question mark(?) or any other special characters.
The separator in the flat file is Comma(,)

The source system and application determines the code page and encoding. Is it Windows, Unix, Mainframe or some other type?
Unicode files sometimes begin with a byte order mark (2 bytes) to indicate little or big endian. If you open the file in notepad and then select save as, the encoding in the dialog will show the encoding notepad detected based on the BOM. If
that is ANSI instead of Unicode or UTF-8, you will need to know the code page the source system used when the file was created.

Unable to extract data from an AS/400 system.

Hello experts.
We are trying to extract data from an AS/400 system but not having any success until now.
I´ll write down you the stepts that we have followed until now:
1.- Create a DB Connect between both systems
2.- Create a Source System from AS400 in the workbench under DB Connect Directory
3.- Generate datasources from tebles specified in the schema of the connection

At this point, we had a problem with some tables with at least one fieldname containing character "Ñ".
After asking some possible solutions to SAP, the told us this is not supported, as the system can´t have any object with character "Ñ", so the transfer structure was unable to activate with this fields in the datasource.

4.- After those issues, we´ve decided to implement, in another schema, views from those tables which had the fieldnames with that character "Ñ", changing them to an "N".
5.- We´ve created another source system with that schema, and user than can see that schema.
6.- To be able to see those views, in transaction RSDBC, we had to deactivate the two checkboxes in the first window ( Choose tables and Choose views) .
7.- Right afeter, we could generate correctly the datasources from this logical tables.
8.- We have designed the hole dataflow for this datasources and everithing went rigth.
9.- But wen we tried to execute the infopackage to extract data from those logic tables, we cannot get any registers. Acctualy the charge remains yellow after the job have finished.
Please, I would appreciate any help you could give us on this problem.

I´d like ti add something to this thread, and maybe clarify a littel bit the question.
The only way that the BW system recognizes those logical tables, through transaction RSDBC is checking out the two boxes on this transaction, "Select Tables" and "Select Views".
I don´t know haw these logical tables have been created, bus does this mean that the are not neither tables or views as BW understand them.
Please, if someone knows anythin about this, answer to this thread.

Error while loading data from DataSource to InfoCube/DSO through DTP

Hi Friends,
I am trying to load data from DataSource to InfoCube/DSO through DTP and getting the following error:
Exception in substep: Extraction completed
Processing terminated
Data package 1 / 30.04.2009 22:38:30 / Status 'Processed with Errors'
When i see the detail message it says:
Syntax error in routine "convert_to_applstru", line 25 of generated program"
I checked all my transformation and looks ok. I was able to load data earlier and i getting this error all of sudden. Does some one know what is this routine "convert_to_applstru" ?

Extracting Data from SAP ERP using BODI/Data Services 4.0

HI,
I am trying to extract data from SAP ERP via SAP extractors using BODI/Data Services 4.0.
I do not have my own ERP system so I am renting remote access from one of the many available on the internet.
I am able to connect BODI to the ERP system and import the extractors metadata.
The problem I am experiencing is that when I run job to extract the data I get the following error:
Vendor-supplied function module <Z_AW_RFC_READ_EXTRACTOR> not found. Ensure that you can execute the function module in SAP via transaction /nSE37.
How do I create the function? Or is the function a SAP standard function?
SAP ERP system being used is: ECC6 EHP4
User has SAP FULL and DEVELOPER authorizations.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Extract data from flat file

Hi,
I'm trying to extract data from a non-SAP datasource (flat file) to BW, I need to first convert the source file (txt) into the appropriate format to load to BW (CSV or ASCII). Currently, the txt file is not in a either format but more in a report kind of format. Is there any functionality in BW that I could utilize to convert the source file esaily in the format that BW can understand? Can I do this using transfer rules?

Problem extracting data from R/3 to BW using infopackage?

I am trying to extract data from R/3 to BI7.0 through infopackage and its giving below error.
Request still running
Diagnosis
No errors found. The current process has probably not finished yet.

Update PSA ( 370 Records posted ) : No errors

Hi ,
The infopackage run for avery long time in yellow state with out changing to green, This might happen due to connection error(get in touch with your basis team) or due to over load on the system.
eventhough the status of request is finished in source system, the job will be executing in the BI.
1)Wait for sometime for the request to turn out green automatically or
2)make the request to red and delte, repeat the infopackage step.
3)IF you know about the no of records that need to be transferred and if the total records are transferred already, manually change the request to green.
