I need to uncheck display in read mode by default and I cannot find it anywhere
If you are trying to edit text or images in a pdf file, you cannot do that with Adobe Reader.

Can't figure out how to edit a Draft e-mail message--simple, right? Wrong.
OK, sorry if this is too basic and belongs in the Getting Started folder, but I couldn't find the problem here or in that location.
I thought I could figure out how to edit a message in the Drafts folder. I tried; it didn't work. I looked online, found a tutorial, which showed that I was indeed trying to do the right thing the right way. So why doesn't it work????
Here's what happens.
I start an e-mail message, click Cancel, then save as a Draft. That works fine. But then...
From the Home screen, I tap Mail.
On the Mailboxes screen, I tap Drafts (there's a number on the right -- 2 -- which disagrees with the number of messages actually seen -- 1 -- at the next step; I don't know if that's an important detail or not).
I see the draft message I want to edit. I tap it.
I tap Edit. According to the tutorial, the message is supposed to open up for me to edit further. But it doesn't. Instead...
The two lines representing the message (Recipient and first few words) move a bit to the right, and the Edit button changes to Cancel.
A dull red Delete button and a blue-gray Move button show up at the bottom. But the first line of the draft message, which has (accurately) shown up under the boldface "(No Recipient)" line, stays where it is -- showing as part of an entry in the list but not as something I can edit. I don't see the complete message, and I can't edit anything, even though I think I have just entered an Edit mode.
I click those two lines, and a red checkmark appears on the left, and the dull buttons at the bottom become brighter red and brighter blue-gray.
Tapping, double-tapping, tap-and-holding... all just toggle that checkmark on and off.
THIS MUST BE REALLY SIMPLE... HOW DO I EDIT THE TEXT OF THE DRAFT MESSAGE????Zero replies??? Wow, I guess this is a really uncommon problem.
Well, the Genius Bar fixed the problem. They confirmed that it WAS real, and they couldn't figure out how it had gotten that way. There must have been some internal list in an inconsistent state... or something.
The fix was to deactivate my MobileMe account on my iPhone -- just wipe it out. Then they re-activated it. Everything re-synched and the problem was gone. -

Go to Edit menu>copy to place the object on the clipboard
Open picture B
Go to Edit menu>paste

Hi - Re Keynote I'm trying to figure out how to create a music album (as an artist) on USB flash drive, (accessible by both Mac and PC). What I want is a background picture with 'click-buttons' to play each track listed, and play in order (like a cd) - also similar for embedded videos and photos etc. This should all be on the one page.
Is this possible with Keynote, or any other software package for Mac (am using Macbook Pro) ?

I have recently had to fire my web designer who was using iWeb. Now I'm trying to figure out how to get the site to open in iWeb on my new MacBook Pro. Is there a way?
Firstly iWeb CAN'T IMPORT any kind of published html code as it has no import facility. You can however add html code, javascript and css by selecting the html snippet and placing it on your page the entering the code in here and clicking on Apply. You DO NOT create a shape as you say - you use the html snippet and place your code in there.
There are not really a lot of ways in which you can write code - if you want to enter small amounts of code, then you would use an ordinary text editor to do this such as Text Edit on a Mac or Text Wrangler. If you want to add code to iWeb like this, then you would either use the html snippet method in iWeb itself or you would have to publish the site to a local folder from iWeb and open the relevant html page with a text editor and add the additional code in this way and then publish. However, if he decided to add the code with a text editor, then you would have to upload the pages directly to the server using an ftp client - if you try to upload the site directly from iWeb, all the extra code will be overwritten.
As for checking whether the site was created using iWeb, all you need do is view the site in Safari and then click on View and then select View Source Code and it will tell you.
Even thoough extra code was added to the site and he might well have done this by publishing to a local folder and adding the code with a text editor, he should still have the domain file for the site too.
Ask again. I'm sure that for adding quick code, most would not want to use programmes such as Dreamweaver, but a simple text editor will suffice. As OT already said, if he claims that he does not have the domain.sites file, then try Flux 4 which is a web design programme and has full import facilities. At least this way, if he just gives you the published version of the site, you have some way of opening it.

You need to connect your iPhone in your computer and open iTunes.
1. Place your rintones file (.m4r format, up 30 seconds) to a designated area (e.g. desktop)
2. Import your ringtones file into your LIBRARY, NOT directly into your iphone.
3. "TONES" or "RINGTONES" icon will appear on the left hand column under LIBRARY. (You should see Ringtones there. If not..... Click Edit --> Preferences --> General Icon Ensure that Ringtones is checked. If not, check it then click OK…)
4. Drag your ringtones file from your LIBRARY into your iphone.
5. "TONES" or "RINGTONES" icon will appear in your iphone under devices (the tab where Summary, Info, Apps, etc are located)
6. Click Under "TONES" or "RINGTONES" (as mentioned in Fifth) and tick SYNC tones.
7. Look inside your iphone... and there it is

In general, Adobe Reader mobile products do not support editing of PDF contents. However, Reader for iOS and Android support commenting (adding/deleting sticky notes, highlight, etc.) and form filling.
Currently, Adobe Reader Touch for Windows 8 (version 1,0) does not support commenting or form filling yet. We are working on adding the support in future releases. -
I am trying to figure out how I can transfer my library to my new 2014 honda accord that has an internal 16gb hard drive. The manual for the car says that it needs to be original CD's but I have purchased alot of the albums/songs I have from I tunes therefore not having the original CD. Can someone help me with this as I dont want to load each CD into the player to record and have some albums that I purchased off of I tunes that I would like to be on the hard drive.

I am trying to figure out how to merge my AD network account.
I am trying to figure out how to merge my AD network account with my Mac account. The main reason for this is wanting to log into my admin account on the Mac, and have it also log into my network account so I do not have to log into differing accounts depending on wether I am on the network or not. And I am going to be running VMware fusion with windows on top, so having one account would be essential to this.

I recently set up multiple accounts on my imac, When I was trying to figure out how to share the documents I must have done something wrong. When logged into the Admin account, I open up any document and I get a message box that says, "The Document could not be opened. The file isn't in the correct format. The file might be corrupted, truncated, or in an unexpected format." What did I do and how do I fix it?
Without knowing what you did it is impossible to give advice on how to correct it.
If these were files you copied over from some other system then just Re-Copy them replacing the ones that are corrupted.
Other then that I suggest you Wipe the drive and start over with a clean reinstall of the OS and programs. Then if you want to share files to All Accounts place those files in a folder in the ROOT of the drive. -
I really need someone to help me. I have been trying to figure out how to select a PDF document to convert to a Word doc. When I go to select a PDF file, all that shows up is the WORD docs. does not show ANY of my PDF files... Please help me figure out what is going on? We have it set on auto renewal so I know its not that we haven't renewed this subscription, because we pay automatically.

Can anyone help me sync calendars from my iPhone to my Mac and help me figure out how to edit or delete lists in Reminders? I thought upgrading to Mountain Lion would work, but I'm having the same problem as before under Snow Leopard. So, here's my situation.
I'm running 10.8.2 on a Macbook Pro. I have a 3GS iPhone running 6.0.1. I can make entries on my Mac Calendar and they will show up on my iPhone, but if I make an entry on my iPhone, it never makes it to my Mac. Also, I notice that when I log in to my iCloud account on my Mac, it has a "me.com" email address as my apple i.d., but it is not my primary account i.d. and I can't figure out how to delete it. Also, my Reminders application won't allow me to delete lists I created. Contacts, on the other hand, work instantaneously regardless of where the change is initiated.On you iPhone check Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar (in the calendars section). Here be sure you have selected the Calendar listed under your iCloud account ID as your default. If you haven't, make this change, then enter a new event on your phone and see if it syncs properly now.
You should be able to delete you reminders list by, from the Lists view, tapping Edit at the top, then tapping next to the list you want to delete and tapping Delete. -
I accidentally bought the HD version of a movie for my daughter's nano. you can't watch HD on a nano. So I'm trying to figure out how to re-download the SD version. This help screen makes it seem like you can just correct the problem and just "download" the lower version. But when I follow the steps, I basically get to where I'm just having to actually purchase the other version. Do I have to pay to get the lower quality version after I've already paid for the HD version?
When you purchase an HD movie or show, in most cases the SD copy can be downloaded from your purchases area in iTunes. On the main iTunes Store page, go to Purchases under the Quick Links and then select Movies or TV shows as appropraite. Click the "Not On This Computer" button. Uncheck the "Download HD when available" box and you should then see the SD copies of the movies/shows and be able to download them.
Note that with digital copies from a Blu-Ray or DVD, if it comes with an HD copy, you normally cannot get the SD copy as well and have to purchase it separately if you want it.
