Trying to find a copy of 10.1.2.54.25 Desktop User Client without patching

Has anyone found a copy on Metalink of Desktop User Client 10.1.2.54.25 where it is not required to patch up to this version. I would like to do an install of this version instead of patching UP to this version.
I don't think such a thing exists, but thought I would ask this LARGE group.

Just loking through postings that have not been answered yet and I came across yours. I'm afraid the answer is no. There is no install for 10.1.2.54.25. You have to install the older version (10.1.2.48.18) and then apply the patch. Sorry.

Trying to find a way to make Surface 2 usable as a thin client

We are looking for a low maintenance and low cost device that can employees can securely use to remote desktop to their work PCs from home. The only thing these users should be doing is logging in, getting connected to Internet, connect to VPN and
the launch RDP to their desktop PC. The machine does not require any other capabilities and less it does, the better, for less complexity and things to go wrong.
With a Surface 2, it looks like it might be possible over VPN and Remote Gateway, but there is one issue I don't see a way around. We do not want users to have to use a different user ID and password to log into the Surface than they normally use to
log into AD. Since a Surface 2 cannot be joined to a domain like a Surface Pro or other Windows Professional PC, is there any other way of syncing a Surface 2 login to their AD user login through Intune or any other service?
We would like anyone in our office to be able to check out a Surface and work from home without having to learn new sign in credentials and also not sharing a single local account for everyone.
Can this be done?

I'm trying to find an easier way to import my music to iTunes. Even the most basic music player can scan your computer and import found music into your library. I don't want to move my MP3s into the iTunes folder, I don't want iTunes doing any conversion.

I'm trying to find an easy way to import my MP3 collection into iTunes without moving, copying or changing it.
I can't believe that iTunes doesn't have this feature, as even the most basic music players always have this.
I only use iTunes to sync my iPod, as I like Media Monkey to play my MP3s.
I have 137GB of MP3s, mainly from my ripping my CDs, LPs and downloading from Amazon. I've only purchased a handful of songs from iTunes,
Any ideas on how to do this easily?

Okay, no problem.
If the top bar menu is not displayed in top left of your iTunes Library, use the CTRL+B keys to turn it on:
On that menu, use File/Add Folder to Library and navigate to the folder you wish to add:
If you wish to add just one song, notice the File/Add File to Library command on that menu as well.
Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop from the file's location into your iTunes Library.
That's all there is to it.
By the way, it is possible to have Amazon MP3s downloaded to your computer and then automatically added to the iTunes Library by the Amazon downloader. I do it all the time.

You can use iCloud to share the Calendar, that way she will always be up to date on that particular section of your work calendar. If you want to use iCloud, I would recommend backing up so you have a safe copy of your data.

Trying to find epoch dates and convert them to dates

I'm trying to find every epoch time in a string and convert them to a date. I have tried the below with no luck.

I know the dates are good and the function works fine from the below test.

I was not able to copy-and-paste your example due to unknown characters (which are displayed as squares on my Ubuntu laptop).
I modified them replacing those characters by spaces.
Maybe that won't totally fit your needs, or might behave differently on your system.

If your Safari keeps crashing, or if you are updating Safari (or just have) and it is misbehaving:
N.B. Never delete Safari, never run it under Rosetta, don't use proxy settings, and don't change the application's name or move it from the top level of the Applications Folder to a sub-folder.
(If you prefer to download updates via Software Update in the Apple menu (which would ensure that the correct version for your Mac was being downloaded), it is not recommended to allow SU to install major (or even minor) updates automatically. Set Software Update to just download the updater without immediately installing it. There is always the possibility that the combined download and install (which can be a lengthy process) might be interrupted by a power outage or your cat walking across the keyboard, and an interrupted install will almost certainly cause havoc. Once it is downloaded, you can install at a time that suits you. You should make a backup copy of the updater on a CD in case you ever need a reinstall. Alternatively you can download Safari directly:

Input Managers and other plug-ins from third parties can do as much harm as good. They use a security loophole to reach right into your applications' code and change that code as the application starts up. If Safari is crashing, the very first thing to do is clear out your InputManagers folders (both in your own Library and in the top-level Library), log out and log back in, and try again.
So, disable all third party add-ons before updating Safari, as they may not have been updated yet for the new version. Add them back one by one. If something goes awry, remove it again and check on the software manufacturer's website for news of an update to match your version of Safari. Remember: Tiger up to 10.4.10 used Safari 2.0.4, Tiger 10.4.11 uses Safari 4.1.3, Leopard uses Safari 5.0.6, and Snow Leopard uses Safari 5.1.x. If these latest versions of Safari are not the fastest browser you have ever used, then something is wrong!
(Trying to revert to a previous version of Safari can have repercussions, as previous versions of Safari used a completely different webkit on which other applications like iChat, Mail, Dashboard Widgets etc also rely, but if you really want to do this post back for instructions on the safe way to do so.)
Most errors reported here after an update are due to an unrepaired or undetected inherent fault in the system, and/or a third party ad-on. Add-ons that have been frequently mentioned here, among others, for causing such problems are Piclens, Saft, AcidSearch and Pithhelmet, and the dreaded CT Toolbar. If you have them, trash them, and go the developer's sites to see if new versions are available for the latest version of Safari on your current operating system.
You must also ensure that you have downloaded and installed all the correct version for your Mac of Security Updates. These require a restart and a permission repair.
To reiterate, Input Managers reach right into an application and alter its code. This puts the behavior of the affected application outside the control and responsibility of its developers: a recipe for problems. That's not to say that issues absolutely will ensue as a result of Input Managers, but you, as a user, must decide. If the functionality of a specific Input Manager or set thereof is really important to you, you may well choose to assume the associated risk.
Again, the advice is to remove all Input Managers from the following directories:
Hard Disk/Library/InputManagers
Home/Library/InputManagers
especially prior to system updates and updates to Safari (they can always be added back one-by-one later).
Lastly, the Safari updates require a restart of your Mac, and sometimes even a double restart is required.

Can't find old copy of Elements

I had bought Photoshop Elements about 6 years ago, had managed to log in and find it a few years ago when I got a new computer. My boyfriend just re-did my hard drive and reinstalled windows. I'm trying to find my old serial number for my Elements on here and can't find it anywhere??? I really can't afford a new copy right now and am getting very aggrivated. Please help!

No way. Adobe only provides PSE installers as far back as v7.

Thanks again Micke and Art of Sound. I have made tons of my own icons to represent iOS apps, Toy Pianos, Moog Synths etc. It's a fun touch to add to your work experience.
Your note about viewing the icons in "Icon view" in the finder is great as it's easy to distinguish and sometimes icons are poorly named.

Below are instructions for using Photoshop to create the icons:
- Copy image, go to P Shop, File>New, check for RGB and 72 ppi, Name file, then OK new file.
- Edit>Paste (Cmmd+V)
- Image>Canvas Size and change the horizontal or vertical value to make it square
- Edit>Free Transform (Cmmd+T)
- Hold the mouse outside of the box and until you see a curved arrow which will allow you to rotate as needed.
- Hold down Shift to keep into proportion and grab a corner "handle" and drag outwards or inwards to resize. Press Enter when done with transformation.
- On the Layers (F7) palette, select Background layer, Rt Click and choose Delete Layer
- Use the Magic Wand (4th tool down, may be behind another tool), click on white background (adjust "Tolerance" as needed - default is 32). Use Shift key to add to a selection. Press Delete key to eliminate pixels
Save As>png and enjoy!

The file or clipboard contents will be in Tab Separated vars, so you'll have to open with a spreadsheet program and save as Comma Separated Vars format.

Find My iPhone is good for misplaced iPhone but not good for thief and it was never meant to be.
You chance of getting it back is very small.
There are a few things you can try.
Try remote lock/wipe your iPhone through Find My iPhone.

Unfortunately iWeb cannot read or import previously published files, only generate them. You'll have to recreate your site from scratch.
However, Chapter 2.3 on the iWeb FAQ.org site has tips on using some of the existing files, image, audio, video, etc., from the published site in the recreation of the site.
