Trying to find a decent service provider
I bought a used iPhone 5 from a friend. Prior to my acquisition of it, it had been used on AT&T. I activated it on T-Mobile, but am not happy with their service. I run out of my very low data cap about halfway through the month, almost any time I leave the city I live in it goes into roaming which has a 10 MB limit or goes into Extended which is very slow, and they keep finding excuses to charge me extra.
Ideally, I would like to use the phone on Virgin Mobile, which I have used and enjoyed in the past. Unfortunately, Virgin Mobile has told me that the phone cannot be used on their network. I'm considering Cricket or Metro PCS, though I am not sure if either of them are compatible with the phone.
Can anyone tell me of a good, affordable (that is, $50 or less per month) plan that doesn't have absurdly low data limits? I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

It sounds like you've got a handful of software issues alright. Those are rather difficult to diagnose over the phone, much less the internet.
I highly recommend you to take a look at our Welcome and FAQ board, where a lot of frequently asked questions & answers are compiled for easy rereference. If you look at the "Frequenty Asked Questions" thread which is locked at the top of that board, you will find a lot of good information including how to create your recovery CD's. I would recommend you do that first thing and go from there.
You also seemed indicated wanting to find a local service location. You can find this information at http://lenovo.com/support and click "Find a service provider" under "Related Links" on the left side of the page.

Where can I find an Apple service provider in Lebanon?
I bought a new MacBook Air in September, and now it seems like the inside of one of the USB ports has been bent, so I cannot use it anymore. Which effectively leaves me with only one functional USB port, which is not cool when the storage on the machine is so low.
I live in Lebanon now, and wonder if there is any certified service provider for Macs in Beirut? The Apple support gives me zero useful information on this topic.

I am living and working here in the sultanate of Oman. Its been two days that I have not been able to use viber on my iPhone unless I use VPN. I talked to colleagues who have iPhones and other apple devices and they said they are also experiencing the same problem. I tried to call up my service provider (NAWRAS) and they informed me that the problem is not on their side, that they have not blocked the app. Surprisingly, when I asked my colleagues using samsung, they said the app is working just fine. What seems to be the problem? Are the codecs (I hope I am using the right terms here) used by viber now are similar to that of the other messaging blocked apps like Tango, weChat and skype?

Can you link two iphones to iTunes account, one is pay as you go the other is pay monthly on different service providers, the pay as you go when sync'd can't find it's service provider ??
The iTunes account has nothing to do with the cellular service provider. So you should be able to have both phones on the same account. What problem do you have with it?

Sounds like you most likely bought a US phone that has been hacked. Legitimately unlocked phones do not relock when you apply an update.
Your best bet is to put the phone back on ebay and buy an unlocked phone from a legitimate supplier in your country. -
How can I find out the previous service provider my device is still registered with?
When trying to create a BIS account, I received the error message that my device was already registered with a different service provider and that I would have to reregister it. The problem is that I bought it new from cordlessphoneworld.co.uk and it was supposedly "completely refurbished".
My Pearl 8100 is a BT phone, however BT confirmed to me that it was not registered with their network. The seller, cordlessphoneworld.co.uk, told me to contact BlackBerry support, and BB support told me to talk to my service provider (O2 UK) who has already told me I would have to get in touch with the previous service provider.
How can I get my BB released from its current BIS registration, or at least find out who it is registered with, in order to finally enjoy its full functionality and not just the regular phone stuff?

To find this out you need to get the vendor id of the device.
Do this by holding down (all at the same time ) the ALT+CAP+H button..
Or
Whilst pressing down ALT, select E Then S then C then R
You should see a little page pop up with random info.
What you are looking for is the vendor ID. a three digit number.
Then I will post a list of all the vendors IDS at the end of this message as i can't remember the link..
Anyhow, find the carrier from the list and call them asking them to release the PIN..
IF... the prev user didn't register it with that carrier (which would mean you phone has possibly been used twice before) then you can call your current Carrier and ask them to escalate the call to RIM who will be able to tell...

Trying to publsh changes to my website. I get a message "There was an error communicating with the FTP server. Try again later, or check with your service provider." I did, and all my settings are correct, but still cannot publish.
Any other ideas?Most likely you are suffering from a bug in iWeb that doesn't let you publish websites if an image you have added to your site begins with space. You can either search for that image and remove it.

So you are saying it works ok as long as you avoid certain pages such as this Forum. That makes me wonder if it could be malware that is blocking access to assistance.Run malwarescans with multipe and up-to-date tools.

Find My Phone not working when connected to international service provider
I recently moved from the US to Switzerland and changed my SIM card from one of Verizon's to one of Orange's (Orange is a popular provider in Switzerland). Unfortunately, the Find My Phone feature is now not working, whether I'm connected to WiFi or using data. Does anyone know if the feature only works in the States?
Find My Phone only requires an Internet connection, either WiFi or 3G. Have you tried turning Find My Phone off, wait about 30 seconds or so, then turning it back on?

If your phone is offline, there is no way to track it. Report the loss to trhe police, your carrier & Insurance company. Change all of your passwords.

I required apple iPad authorised service provider contact detail in Sultanate of Oman to replace the iPad due to crack in the screen.
Apple (and no one else) can not assist (with serial number or iCloud) in finding a lost or stolen iPad.
Report to police along with serial number. Change all your passwords.

So i bought a blackberry pearl 8100 and it is black and silver in color.
I don't know what its service provider is.
Its clearly not an AT&T since it gives the invalid simcard sign when its in it.
The only way how i can get it to work is by unlocking it.
But i can't unlock it witt not knowing the service provider or am i wrong with that assumption?
