Trying to find a specific message alert tone.

Hi all,
Firstly, I'm a bit of a dunce when it comes to things remotely techy lol.
I recently had a E71 which unfortunatel was lost. I have replaced this with an N97.
However, my favorite message alert tone on the E71, which I'm pretty sure was "message alert tone 3" is not available on the N97, and frankly, I dont like any of the tones on the N97.
I have tried in vain to find it on the internet to download, but to no avail.
Can anybody help please.

u can copy your messege tone from ur nokia e71 for this u must have a third party app dr.jukka´s y-browser best for u coz it´s free... then serach the ringtone directory which can b the z: drive or it can b differ depend on the phone... on my e55 the location of tones are z:\data\sounds\digital. try it on ur mobile. after finding that u can send it through ur mobile bluetooth. for this u must have installed bluetooth utility which is also free from jukka´s.

Changing message alert tone?

OK, I want to customise my message alert tone to a sound that I want - not one of the defaults that the phone offers. Is there anyway to do this without jail-breaking? Considering this is an integral feature that has been part of phone's that were created back in the stone age, I'd find it ludicrous that this isn't plausible with the iPhone, considering that we're now up to the fourth model it surely should have been something that's been considered.

Message alert tones

Morning.
I want to define my own message alert tone. How can I do that? I've learned, it is possible to create my own ring tones. But I do not find an approach to modify the list of predefined alert »melodies« given by Apple. But all of Apple's sounds are very obtrusively. Instead of that, I want to have a very reluctant »toc-toc« or something like that. But how can I install such sound on my iPhone?

for some reason apple absolutely refuses to give us this option... people have been submitting feedback since the iPhone was launched in 2007 and all they did this past update or two ago is add a bunch more of there own tones instead of giving us the ability

Since updating my iphone 4 to IOS5 my message alert tone is distorted

since updating my iphone 4 with IOS5 my message alert tone (tri tone) is distorted it was fine before the update

Since updating my Iphone 4s to the iOS 6, i am now having to charge my phone at least three times a day, whereas before I did the update, I would charge it at night before bed and it would stay charged the whole day.

I'm trying to find a text message sent to me on 25th Decemeber 2011, I know who sent it to me. But when I try and scroll, my phone always crashes just before I get to the message I am looking for. Any ideas how I can get to it without scrolling?

8310 4.5 upgrade - no message alert tone

Hi
I upgraded my 8310 with the 4.5 software and ever since I have not been able to get my message alert tone to work, I have gone into profiles advanced menu and checked nothing as been changed except I dont get the tone?
Can anyone help!
I also had a message at the time of the upgrade informing me a fatal error had been made, but everything seems ( with the exception of above) to be working?

Well that's probably your problem. It seems to me that upgrading to 4.5 is producing strange little problems for lots of people. I gather you downloaded a 4.5 from a carrier other than your own? In my opinion I would revert back to my original OS and wait for my carrier to release it. But if you don't want to wait I suggest you downgrade to the last OS from your carrier and then try the upgrade again.

Message Alert tone/ringtone stopped working?

My iPhone's message alert tone/ringtone has stopped working. My iphone4 firmware has been upgraded
to 5.1.1. i've also reset the phone, but it didn't resolve the issue. Pls. Help... thanks...

My alerts sounds work briefly after a restart. Then at some point (can't say how much time passes with certainty) they no longer work. The volume adjustment sound is gone as well as the alert sounds such as an incoming mail message.
A restart temporarily returns the sounds. I've zapped PRAM but that doesn't solve the problem.

Why does the message alert tone repeats itself more than once?

every once in a while my message alert tone repeats itself while a message is delivered. if i switch off and switch on the problem gets resolved only for a while.

Check your Settings > Notifications > Messages > Repeat Alert ?

1. You can edit your own post, that way you don´t need to post again. On the top corner of your post it says "options" there choose "edit" to edit your post.
2. I don´t think it is possible to assign different message tones for different people...

Hi, Is there anyway I am able to change the message/email alert tone?
At the moment the only way I get notified of new mail/sms is buy a very quiet beep and the light flashing.
Are you able to assign a ringtone to different aspects of receiving new data?

Yes you can. Just go into Profiles | Advanced. Next click into the "Active" profile. In this next screen you'll be looking at the different categories in which you can modify the ringer/tone settings. So in your case for emails you would go into the "Messages" category and change the Out of Holster, Ring Tone settings.SO for example for Calendar reminders you would edit the Calendar category. For text messages you would edit the SMS Text category.

Where can I find Adapter Specific Message Attributes ASMA Schema Definition

Hi all,
I'm on PI 7.1 and want to use the Mail adapter in XIPAYLOAD mode.
I want to map to the ASMA schema definition in the Enterprise Service Builder.
I'm wondering where I can get this "new" schema?
For example the "old" mail adapter xml schema could be found in Note 748024.

Should I use MailPackage or ASMA?
A: SP14 introuced the Adapter Specific Message Attributes (ASMA) that can be used to import and export adapter/transport specific headers into and out of XI. This is a generic mechanism for all adapters and other components such as mapping and routing can directly access or manipulate these values. The functionality provided by MailPackage is available in ASMA. Therefore, it is recommended that new scenarios use ASMA instead of MailPackage.

the idea behind ASMA is exactly not to depend on modifying the payload to be able to map data that is just relevant to the communication layer, not the application.
Instead of having a target XSD that you need to map your source message to, filling the communication details, instead you create XI specific message headers (the so called "adapter specific message attributes") that go in the message within the SOAP Header, hence not requiring any modification of the payload whatsoever.
Notice that not having to modify the payload doesn't mean not having a mapping program, since the mapping can modify both the payload and the header, and sometimes it's a good approach to fill the ASMAs in a mapping, just bypassing the payload to the output unmodified.

Message alert tone

When I get downloaded ringtones and message tones into custom tones menu. I cannot get them to play an alert message. What am I missing here. Seem to be going backward with every new gadget I get.

Trying to find a specific SQL statement to determine its cost

If an sql statement is executed will it ALWAYS show up in the awrrpt report? (10g)
I am a developer DBA and was handed an SQL statement by the production DBA as being a problem during a specific timeframe within the past hour.
That statement does not show up in v$LongOps (although other older ones are) nor does it appear in v$sqltext and is not in the awrrpt even when I run the report for the entire day.
Any other ideas or can I safely broach the Production DBA without looking like an idiot?!!

I am not using awrrpt report but for sure if your statement has been executed it must have been in v$sqltext but maybe it did not stay very long because it has been rarely executed and replaced in the shared pool by other SQL statements that have been more executed.
You could setup a copy of your production database on a similar host and run the statement several time in single user mode to check at least its performance in single user with sql_trace=TRUE and tkprof.
If your statement is SELECT your could also execute it in your production database and check at the sametime v$sqltext and also v$sqlarea, especially for:
DISK_READS      NUMBER      Sum of the number of disk reads over all child cursors
BUFFER_GETS      NUMBER      Sum of buffer gets over all child cursors
USER_IO_WAIT_TIME      NUMBER      User I/O Wait Time (in microseconds)
CPU_TIME      NUMBER      CPU time (in microseconds) used by this cursor for parsing, executing, and fetching
ELAPSED_TIME      NUMBER      Elapsed time (in microseconds) used by this cursor for parsing, executing, and fetching

Trying to find a specific app - help please!

i am looking for an app, i have searched and searched but there are so many out there, i know someone has had to come up with this, i want an app that will child proof my phone. that will lock out most everything but the games. I have a 2 yr old that loves my phone but calls people and stuff. Is there an easier way to search? i did child or kid and there are SOOO many
