Trying to find a usable headphone extender from back of mac to iP6 phones

I have a client that's in an office trying to listen to instructional videos from the back of her MacPro to her iPhone6 headphones.
The computer is on the floor, no it can't go on the desk there is nowhere it will fit (2009 Dual Xeon MP Aluminum) it needs to reach the client in their seat, from the back of the desk (so it doesn't get run over by a desk chair) so the front stereo out on the Power Mac isnot an option. I need a 6 foot or greater extender.
The std Radio Shack Stereo Male to Stereo Female 1/8" connector wont work unless unless we tape it in a specific "Sweet Spot" and if the client moves the connection is lost.
Anyone have any luck with any brand of headphone extenders that did not cause this type of grief?

That sounds like either a problem with the headphones or the cable - I've used extension cables with absolutely no issues.

Hopefully you left Apple your contact info (name phone #, email address).
Apple would simply pass your contact to the last registered owner. It would be up to the owner to contact you. As Dave mentioned, Apple will not give you any info (except may to tell you it was or was not registered, but not to who). Turn it on once in a while and maybe they have activated FindMyiPad and a message will pop up (don't need to be logged onto the iPad to a message).

Without "pretending" to be yourself on the other phone (change settings) there's nothing else you can do.
iOS devices are meant to be single user and can't view iCloud.com the same way a Mac or PC can do.
You need to find a desktop or laptop machine (Mac or PC) to log in at iCloud.

Trying to Import my iTunes Library Retrieved from a Crashed Mac on my New Mac

My old mac laptop crashed and I had the contents of it transferred to my new MacBookPro laptop. My itunes folder from the old mac laptop is now on my new laptop's desktop but I can't find a way to import my old itunes library to the new one. Which of the old files do I have to move and where, please? Thanks in advance for your help.

Go into iTunes prefs>Advanced - check that the path to your iTunes is correct.
It should look similar to this - /users/YOUR ACCOUNT/Music/itunes/itunes music - if the path is not correct then select the 'change' option and point the way.
If you have the ! Next to the tunes then the path is incorrect. This doesn't mean that the files are missing - just iTunes cannot find the way - iTunes is a data base manager and as such can lose track if things are moved in the Finder.

I hope my code is readable. I am trying to get the command prompt that comes up from the Runtime.exec() to run a file called "test.txt" I know it would be easier to just do it by executing it from java but I want to see if it is possible this way. I thought the out.write would do the trick but I was wrong. Somebody help please....

Trying to find the Network Activity number from the CATSPS table

Hi Experts
I am trying to build a report to show unprocessed time on Network Activities. The time is entered via CAT2 and transferred to CATSPS via the CATA job.
Once the data hits the table, an internal system number is given to activity.
I have the following example:
Say I have three Network Activities all linked to the same Network and WBS as follows:

When I post time against the 2nd and 3rd NWAu2019s, CATSPS has the following entries:
RNPLNR               RAUFPL                RAPLZL

Now the RAPLZL field has no visual link to the NWA.
Does anyone know of the Internal table that holds the link between the RAPLZL field and the Activity that is represents.
I have already looked at PLPO (no entries).
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

I put a SIM card in it and it worked beautifully
I went away the sim does not work abroad and updated the management programme while away
When I came back the sim wouldn't work and when rebooted after update an error message no SIM appeared and it has been there since
I booked an Apple review at the shop in lakeside they were unable to find a fault said it was a hardware problem and I would need to buy a new iPad
I then phoned apple apple help who talked me through a reset
At the reset a lot of photos of the birth of my granddaughter went missing the albums they were in was missing
I then booked an appointment at Genius Bar in covent garden
They backed up the computer on arrival
Their conclusion was the photos lost forever as the back up had overwritten the backed up photos that hasn't downloaded properly when reinstating backup
The pins in the iPad drawer for the sim are broken and I need a new iPad
Apart from being furious that despite apple knowing the problem was about lost photos they have by their actions lost them
The sim stopped working without the drawer being opened
The only people to open the drawer since it stopped working are apples employees so if pins are broken apple has broken them and still haven't identified the more likey software problem that stopped the sim working as it happened afte an update
It is impossible to visualise the pins in the SIM card slot I have tried with an ophthalmoscope and can't see them so how an Apple employee can see with his naked eye is beyond me
This seems to be a problem with this iPad as the net is littered with problems regarding this fault so I'm sure Apple know about it
My friend with a company use of these iPads has had several develop this problem and they have been replaced as staff have admitted to him it is a known fault
Wy should so done have one level of truth compared to another
Staff should not lie just to get someone out of a shop if they really don't know the answer
I feel I have highlighted several staff training issues and would like some reassurance that action is being taken about this don't seem to be able to find a way to complain to Apple Anyone know how?
There is an obvious problem with the SIM card comparability in this iPad I believe a software problem and would to know if it is actually being addressed and when a new update comes out will it ever work again or do I really have a useless piece of equipment now?
Are my photos really lost as staff have been useless at everything else I can't help but hope they don't know a retrieval route for this either

Actually, I'm sorry. I just re-read your post and you were certainly clear. I somehow got it in my head you set up the new phone from iCloud backup.
Since you've had the phone one week (I hope I got that right at least?) you are entitled to technical support directly with Apple. I'd either call them (1-800-MY-APPLE) or schedule a meeting at the Genius Bar at your Apple Store. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful.

Find email on time machine from a different Mac

My old Macbook (Leopard) did a grey screen & is now an ex-Macbook. It was regularly backed up via time machine to an external drive.
Plugged into my Mac (Mavericks) I can access the TM ok & read some of the files in finder but, I'm probably missing something simple here as I can't find my old emails (no longer on server etc) I read through older posts, & have tried "browse other back up disks" with mail as the active app but it just sticks on the "Now" page & doesn't scroll back. I just need one email folder & the rest I can live without. Thanks in advance.

Although you can restore messages from a Time Machine snapshot within the Mail application, it generally won't work with messages that were saved by an obsolete version of Mail. In that case, you have to use an alternative method.
Enter Time Machine and scroll back to the snapshot you want. Select the mail account folders you want and then select Restore ... to... from the action menu (gear icon) in the toolbar of the snapshot window. Restore the folders to the Desktop, not to their original location.
From the Mail menu bar, select
File ▹ Import Mailboxes...
Choose Apple Mail as the format and import from the mailboxes in the folders you restored to the Desktop. The imported messages will appear in a new mailbox. Move the ones you want to keep wherever you like and delete the rest. Then delete the folders on the Desktop.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

I am having difficulty finding ringtones I have downloaded from my computer to my I phone 5. The individual files can be found by search on the library but there is no listing of them and have not transferred back to phone from I Tunes

All the ringtones show up in I Tunes under "tones" on the left side. They also come up under the Ringtones Icon on my phone. But they are not on the ring tones list when I go to edit a contact...just the default ringtones are listed

Myself and my girlfriend use the decipher textmessage program. She's on windows and I use the version for my macbook pro. It works cool and lets you save your text messages from your iphone to your computer.
