Trying to find info about max connections to OID (LDAP)

I know I ran across a blurb in the documentation about max number of connections to OID, but now am unable to find it. We beleive we may have saturated the listening process, but we are trying to prove that one way or the other. The listener process is "oidldapd", right? The logs under $OH/ldap/log do not show any errors (and in fact are quite old, even though we use this OID a lot). I am thinking we might be able to set the -debug flag, but the documentation also talks about setting "orcldebugflag" within the directory. Is that required?
Any and all help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

  • Where to find info about JNDI and Glassfish 3.1.2?

    Hello,
    i am searching already long time to find information on how to find e.g. an EntityManagerFactory using JNDI and an Glassfish server.
    Can anybody point me to some useable documentation? The GF admin and developer and deployment guide as well as the reference
    does not provide a lot of information. They write about general JNDI topics, how to configure data sources, that JNDI can be used to
    lookup resources and the like, on other places people write about, hey, lookup the EntityManagerFactory for your persistence unit
    (persistence.xml), but i am not able to find what JNDI names i can lookup and where and how i can find out what JNDI names are
    available in my server at all.
    Thanks for any hint,
    Chris

    Hello
    Maybe it sounds stupid now but what kind of info do you need exactly?
    When you need BIOS update you can visit BIOS download page - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_bios.jsp
    For drivers Toshiba drivers download page - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
    When you need Users manuals document you can download it from - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_manuals.jsp
    General info about this machine you can find on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/unitdetails/
    Thats all you can find.
    I have old P200 and it is the same machine as your A200 just bigger with 17 display. In BIOS under advanced BIOS options there is SATA controller mode option and two options: AHCI and Compatibility mode.
    It should be used with AHCI mode and then you will have full HDD performance. Many people use compatibility mode to install old WXP without loading SATA driver.
    Can you please tell us what kind of info do you need and what do you want to do with this machine.
    I really hope we can help you somehow.

  • Dead HD trying to find out about this mac

    I am fixing a Macbook for a friend and his hard drive is dead. Almost all the numbers on the back of the computer are worn off. Is there a way to find out what the computer has in it by way of terminal commands possibly? I am trying to find out if I can buy him Mountain Lion and install it on a new hard drive.
    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
    Laura Drew

    Once you've put in the new hard drive and formatted it for the Mac you'll want to put OS 10.6 Snow Leopard on it. The 10.6 Snow Leopard DVD is in the Apple online store. You can get it for $19.99. You will need to be running 10.6.8 to access the App Store to order Lion or Mountain Lion. http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
    Put your 10.6 install DVD into the optical drive (CD/DVD drive) and reboot.  As soon as you hear the boot chime, hold down the "c" key on your keyboard (or the Option Key until the Install Disk shows up) until the apple shows up. That will force your MacBook to boot from the install DVD in the optical drive.
    When it does start up, you'll see a panel asking you to choose your language. Choose your language and press the Return key on your keyboard once. It will then present you with an Installation window.
    Completely ignore this window and click on Utilities in the top menu and scroll down to Disk Utility and click it. You should see your hard drive in the left hand column along with your other drives. Click on the drive and select the Erase tab. Set the format value to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and click the Erase button. After that has finished select the Partition tab. Type in a Name for your hard drive and select how many partitions you want from the Volume Scheme. The usual setting is one partition. Click on the Options button after you've selected a partition to make sure it's set for GUID. Then click the Apply button and after the Partitioning is done quit Disk Utility.
    You can now follow the instructions on the install screen

  • OC4J 9.0.4.0.1 doesn't connect to OID LDAP

    I'm trying to have an application using basic authentication with JAZN LDAP (the LDAP is an OID in an Oracle 9iAS 9.0.2 Infrastructure) for authentication/authorization but without any success. The same application works fine on OC4J 9.0.3 and 9.0.2.
    I get no errors or exceptions, simply I don't get authenticated.
    Sniffing TCP traffic I noticed that OC4J 9.0.4.0.1 doesn't contact OID(LDAP) server at all.
    The documentation says it should work, but my suspect is this standalone OC4J version doesn't really support JAZN with LDAP.
    My jazn.xml is like this:
    <jazn provider="LDAP" location="ldap://myserver:4032">
    <property name="ldap.user" value="cn=orcladmin"/>
    <property name="ldap.password" value="{903}encryptedpassword"/>
    </jazn>
    Luciano

    FYI:
    If you take a look at Oracle AS v 9.0.3 standalone in the /j2ee/home directory, you notice an ldap.jar that is no longer present in the 9.0.4 product, in addition to the fact that the jazn.jar file in the 9.0.4 product is about half the size of the prior release.
    It seems as if they moved this LDAP functionality into other more OS-dependent libraries. In 10g Enterprise, it appears as if OPMN somehow controls LDAP.
    I've read that it's somehow possible to get LDAP working in standalone, but it's not published because it's too complicated to explain.
    I personally think this is rediculous. It's waaaayyyy too much trouble to install developer workstations with 10g enterprise -- esp. since it doesn't even do windows -- and the linux version is very picky and troublesome to install.
    So we are left we a very crappy development environment.
    Thanks Oracle.

  • Need info about max HDD size available for Satellite Pro M30-813

    Hello,
    The following question is mainly to be addressed to authorized Toshiba support personnel. What exactly is the limitation of a maximum size of an internal HDD that I could use with my Satellite Pro M30-813?
    Recently, I have bought and installed seagate 160 GB SATA drive, onto which I have successfully installed WXP Pro and have been running it for quite a while with no problems. Recently, I have been copying large amount of data from an external hard drive to my new internal disk, and as the files were being copied as I noticed having about 50 GB free space left, I had experienced windows "delayed write failed" and a massive partition failure with no possibility to recover data. The system would no longer boot and the whole MBR was damaged. As the result, I have lost all data on my new disk.
    Although, I realize that Toshiba is not responsible for additional hardware that I use with my laptop and that is not officially supported by Toshiba, I am certain that as an end user of a Toshiba product I have the right to know about a max HDD size limitation information for my notebook model. Therefore, I request Toshiba technical support representative to give me a straight official answer to my question.
    Thank you in advance,
    Andrejs
    (You may also contact me privately at my e-mail address)

    Hi Andrew
    > The following question is mainly to be addressed to authorized Toshiba support personnel
    I think you are in the wrong area if you are looking for an answer from an authorized Toshiba support.
    This is a Toshiba user-to-user forum! You will meet here Toshiba notebook owner and enthusiasts who share knowledge and tries solve problems but nobody from Tosh :(
    I could provide my experience with the M30 Satellite and the HDD upgrade possibilities.
    In my knowledge the Sat M30 supports a 40GB, 60GB and 80GB HDD for sure.
    In my opinion you could use the 100GB HDD but bigger HDDs will not run and functions correctly.
    So switch to a lower HDD size and enjoy the notebook!
    Ive goggled a little bit and found compatible HDD and the part numbers
    HITACHI GBC000Z810 -> 80GB
    HITACHI GBC00014810 -> 80GB
    TOSHIBA HDD2188B -> 80GB
    HITACHI G8C0000Z610 -> 60GB
    HITACHI G8BC00013610 -> 60GB
    TOSHIBA HDD2183 -> 60GB
    TOSHIBA HDD2184 -> 60GB
    I hope this could help you a little bit!
    Best regards

  • Equium M50-216 - need info about display connection

    I've had no problems with the system before, but about a week ago I started experiencing display problems.
    Basically, the display occasionally freezes or behaves strangely - blanking, interference etc. This is related to moving the screen - fiddling with it puts things right.
    My guess is that this is nothing more serious than a loose cable connection somewhere - because the problem doesn't occur spontaneously, but can be triggered if I move the screen, opening or closing it slightly.
    Is there a straightforward way to get access to the cable (?) connecting the display panel to the graphics card?
    Many thanks

    Do you have M50 notebook experience?
    I assume you dont have it because you ask it here in the forum. In such case you dont know exactly how to disassemble the notebook and this is not very easy and very tricky!
    Using a wrong order can damage some parts in worst case the display will not function.
    Is the warranty valid? If yes then you shouldnt try to disassemble the notebook by yourself because this would cancel the warranty.
    Furthermore you are not 100% sure that the loose cable connection causes this issue. You guess only and in my opinion its not enough to perform the notebook disassembling!
    I will provide you a good advice; Contact a notebook specialist!
    In such case you are on the safe side

  • Where can I find info about my HD!

    Hi, just got my MacMini and he's running like a dream and is such a cutie;)
    I'm curious to know what make the HD is and it's RPM. I've looked in system profiler and all I can find is the model number is ST9808210A. Can anyone help?

    Actually, you can edit a "reply" after someone has posted to it. It depends on which forum you're in how long you have.
    You can edit an original topic you've posted until someone replies to it - no time limit. If someone replies to it right away, even though the "reply" edit time has not run you, you won't be able to edit it.

  • Finding info about the database

    I need to write a program to find  out which database server is used, its ip address, its version and the databases within the server. How can i do that? Is there a config file or something similar which has all the information. Are there any APIs which i can use?
    Please help me out here.

    Good point Eric,
    well, in that case he is busted
    But at least he is asking in the Oracle Forum, and depending on the trans.log output, he could open a switchcase with
    sqlplus ...
    xsql ...
    dbaccess ...
    Whatever the other DBs have as query tools

    P.S.:
    wait ... wasn't there a "tp getdbinfo ..." ? I'm @ HOME now, so no system to test... Can somebody fill in ?

  • HT1688 I am trying to find answers about how to use the earphones that came with my new iPhone 4s. Does this work similarly as a Bluetooth or do I need to still buy one. The printing in the manual is SOOO small, it is too hard to read!

    Does anyone know how to use the earphones( plugs) that come with iPhones?
    Mine is still fairly new and I am just learning how to use certain things.

    They're pretty straightforward. You plug them into the headset jack (the hole on the top left of your phone). You put the buds in your ears. All sounds, except for the phone ringing will now come through the earbuds.

  • Creative Cloud for Teams... where to find infos?

    we use a volume license at work for CS6 Master Collection and we need special packages for deployment.
    where can i find infos about CC for teams (or whatever the name is)?
    is the licensing still done via files for CC or do we need a internet connection to activate the software?
    at least there must be a way to download all CC apps at once and install them or create a deployment package?

    Hi hamada2003,
    Sorry for not responding earlier. Have you checked out the Creative Cloud for Teams FAQ? Here is the link: http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html#cc-teams
    You do need an internet connection for authenticating once every 99 days with "Teams". It's been announced that there is going to be a way for IT to package and deploy packages to users' workstations, but that's not available quite yet.
    Hope that helps,
    Kevin

  • Info about a specific host server

    I have been asked to take over a website and am trying to get
    info
    about the host system.
    I know who the host is, but they have no website for info and
    do not
    answer my email. In the past, I could use dnsstuff.com to
    find out
    what kind of box it was, what OS was being run, etc., but
    dnsstuff has
    converted to a payment service.
    What tool can I use to discover this?

    Yes, I understand that. What I am trying to say is the
    following, and
    try it for yourself you will see:
    The link that was recommended to me to discover server info
    of a host
    was netcraft.com.
    That link works ONLY if the host has a website present on
    their
    domain... it gathers info when the web pages are served up.
    the host fastdnsservers.com does NOT have a website. As a
    result, I
    cannot discover info about them, their options, features,
    etc.
    However, as seen by this link:
    http://www.webhosting.info/webhosts/reports/total_domains/FASTDNSSERVERS.COM
    they -are- hosting. They will not answer email.
    So the original question (modified) remains: how do I
    discover
    information about what servers, etc. a hosting service is
    using? Can
    this be done without relying on tools that depend upon
    gathering
    information from a web page?
