Trying to fit "long" images into Widget Gallery

Hi-
I have several png's that are around 800px wide and 120px high.
I'm struggling with trying to find a way to fit into gallery widget. I've tried several things and can't seem to widget to be at that dimension so the entire image is visible.
I've researched the forums and can'ts seem to find an answer.
Please tell me what I am missing.

I could get 2 images 800X120 px into the gallery widget to show completely. The widget margin had to be 45 because of the min size restrictions of the widget. So if you change the background color of the widget to be same as that of the page it is on, the extra space of the widget will blend and your images will look 800X120 as they are supposed to. Is this what you were trying to to?

Can't drag image into widgets using ibooks author

i have ibooks author 2.0 and i'm running on 10.8.2. i was working on ibooks author and suddenly i couldn't drag any pictures into the widgets, not the Interactive Image, not the Gallery. In the Gallery widget i could get around it by manually inserting pictures (tediously) using the inspector, but there's no option for that using the Interactive Image widget. i've restarted the computer, hasn't made any difference, any help would be appreciated, thanks

yes, it goes onto the page, but it won't go inside the widgets. i've also tried deleting and re-installing ibooks author and it hasn't resolved the issue

Fitting an Image into another - Macromedia Fireworks 2004

I have two images one has a border, and inside the border is
white space, I would like the other image to go inside here, but
have no idea how to do it. If instead of white space it was clear
in the first image I could simply bring it to front over the other
image, however this is not the case. Can someone please help

Select the white space with the magic wand. Choose Select
> Convert
Marquee to Path. Place the photo you want inside the white
area over the
new path, and then cut it to the clipboard (Edit > Cut).
With the path
selected, choose Edit > Paste Inside.

How to edit image mask in Gallery widget

When I place an image into the Gallery widget the image receives a mask.
I am trying to edit this mask, but it doens't do any thing. I only can move the image inside of the mask, I can't edit the size of the mask.
Does anyone know how this is be done in iBooks Author (I know this feature from other Apple software like Pages or iWeb).
Or does anyone have the same problem?

How to get sliced image into my table ?

hi all :)
i have created a sliced image of my country and added
rollover with disjointed fx.
i have also exported the code which works fine by it self.
however when i try to get the code into a table cell on my
website it breaks the table.
so please can you tell me what i have to do inorder to make
it fit in please.

was Firefox having to download the code to the user's browser

Generally, overlapping slices is not a good idea for many
reasons -
bloated code being one of them. Other issues that can occur

unreliable image display, multiple - unnecessary - sliced
images and
migraines from having to edit the code at the source level

Loading an image into an Applet from a JAR file

Hello everyone, hopefully a simple question for someone to help me with!
Im trying to load some images into an applet, currently it uses the JApplet.getImage(url) method just before registering with a media tracker, which works but for the sake of efficiency I would prefer the images all to be contained in the jar file as oppossed to being loaded individually from the server.
Say I have a class in a package eg, 'com.mydomain.myapplet.class.bin' and an images contained in the file structure 'com.mydomain.myapplet.images.img.gif' how do I load it (and waiting for it to be loaded before preceeding?
I've seen lots of info of the web for this but much of it is very old (pre 2000) and im sure things have changed a little since then.

Embed image into runtime skin (.swf)

Hi all,
I'm trying to embed an image into a runtime skin but I have this error :
Error: Skin for skinsRuntimeBase0.ApplicationSkin2._ApplicationSkin_Group1.contentGroup.BoutonPerso8.Bout onPersoSkinRed16._BoutonPersoSkinRed_Image1 cannot be found.
when I access to my swf skin in my main application with styleManager.loadStyleDeclarations2().
I'm working with FB4 and command line (compc + mxmlc) to compile resources and to compile swf with my swc resource bundle.
Here is my process :
1) Creation of a FB4 library project and copy of an image url.png in package assets.
2) Creation of a swc asset with this library project. Here is my xml :

Not necessarily. Some "glitches" were experienced by a significant number of users but not all of us, like the WiFi problem. Those that experienced these issues did have a miserable time of it trying to get things right. Personally I had no issues. I did, however, boot into the Recovery volume after installing Yosemite and after each update to repair disk permissions and the disk. There were a lot of permissions repaired each time.
Remember millions have upgraded to Yosemite and the number of those having problems is probably a very, very small percentage of them. That doesn't negate the problems they're having but sometimes overshadows the large percentage of those not having problems.
If you plan on upgrading to Yosemite do not run any "cleaning" or "optimizing" applications on your Mac or have any anti virus software installed. Neither are necessary and are know to do more harm that good.

RH10 suddenly won't let me add/import new images into my project

I have tried accessing the "Insert Image" option using the various methods (menu, toolbar icon, right click menu), but once the dialog box is open, I click on the browse folder to find the image that I added via Explorer, but nothing happens and the app freezes. The only thing I am able to do is close RH via the Task Manager. I have tried rebooting and also tried doing this in multiple projects to make sure it's not my main project with the problem. This same thing happens every time.
I CAN add an image that has already been imported into the project... I tried doing that then using Image Properties to bring in the newly created image... same result... freezes the app. My project is only about 50MB in size... and I probably only have 2 or 3 dozen images in it so far.
I am hoping you are not going to say uninstall and re-install because I don't have the disc with me today... working from home.
Help please.

TOTAL weirdness... so I just got into work... turned on my laptop... so i'm not working remotely... opened my project... at first i got this error:
then i continued to get a series of errors of various kinds.. finally one telling me the cpd file was corrupt... now mind you... I had to restart RH several times yesterday... also did a reboot... and didn't get any of these errors...I also tried to import an image into an older project to see if it was the project or RH.. but i had the same problem with the other project - no.. didn't try a NEW project as I was planning at your suggestion because it's working in my existing project now.
so i deleted the cpd... opened the project.. and tried to import a new image.. and BAM.. it worked like always! WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?
I don't understand what the problem could have been if this wasn't working even without VPN...
Thoughts? I'd like to avoid this issue next time I'm working from home.. which will be next week!

How to insert an image into lower third rectangle title?

I've created a white lower third rectangle and I want an image of the newspapers logo to be inside of the white lower third rectangle.
I'm trying to drag the image into the title workspace but it wont allow me to do so......

Great advice! That's working fine.
But....my white lower third rectangle has a fill opacity of 88%. When I've inserted the newspaper's logo into this rectangle, obviously the logo (which is white with blue text) has an opacity of 100%. But when I lower the logo opacity to 88% I lose the logo's white, but also the actual text of the logo too which is a problem.
So I'm now thinking, is it possible to lower fill opacity from left to right in my rectangle? If so, this would allow the left hand side of my rectangle to stay at 100% fill opacity, which would match the white fill of the newspapers logo, and I could gradually reduce the opacity as the rectangle goes right, fading out towards the end.
Is it possible to use fill opacity in a left to right motion?

Import Raster image into oracle database

I am trying to load raster image into oracle spatial 10g. It is a tiff file. I am using Oracle Mapbuilder that comes with oc4j.
I use Tools Menu -> Import Image to import that image into an oracle table.
But I get error -
java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: javax.media.jai.RenderedOp.getNumBands()I
i am using java 1.5 and i have set path to java media library - jai_codec.jar, jai_codec_depl.jar , jai_core.jar, jai_core_depl.jar

Photoshop CC: Have a template that I moved image into. Image is too small. How do I resize the image while in the template? Or must I go to original image file and resize there again and again until I get the right fit?

I have a template that I am able to plug different pictures into at different times. The problem is that when I plug an image into that template, I find that the image is either too big or too small. Is there a way to plug the image into the template and resize the image (and not the template itself) OR will I have to go to the file with the original image and resize it there and then try to plug it in to the template to see if it fits------and if it does not fit, go back to the original file with the image and resize it again and see if that fits---and so on and so on...........? I have tried the" image size" option but it's hit or miss------mostly miss!

Read up on Smart Objects. It looks like you have no idea as to how to create and use them.
Jut create a Smart Object from the layer containing whatever it image it is that you are "plugging into your template". But you do need to learn the application at its most basic levels.
Photoshop is a professional level application that makes no apologies for its very long and steep learning curve. You cannot learn Photoshop in a forum, one question at a time.
Or is it possible that you don't even have Photoshop proper but the stripped-down Photoshop Elements?"
If the latter is the case, you're in the wrong forum. This is not the Elements forum.

Loading Images into LONG RAW column using SQL or PL/SQL

Hi!
I am trying to load images into a LONG RAW column. Can anybody tell me how to do this using SQL or PL/SQL. I do not want to use Forms to do this. And, I have a limitation using BLOBs.

You wrote that you cannot use a java class to insert a picture. We are working on a school project and HAVE to use java as a client and Oracle 7 as a server.
Can you tell us how this is to be done?
