Trying to get another card for my G5
This is one of the few questions I've asked Apple, and they absolutely have no clue on what to answer. I was on hold for 30 minutes trying to get an answer for this, and it wasn't a straight answer after all. I also asked one of the "Apple Experts" in online-chat, he sent me to AppleCare.
I have a PowerMac G5 (late 2004) Dual 2.5GHz. It has an AGP 256MB ATI Radeon card in it with DVI and VGA outputs.
I want to get a second 23-inch display, but I don't want to use the same card. The G5 I have from my understanding, uses PCI-X slots. I know it's backwards compatible with PCI cards.
What card is best for my computer to run that other display separately? Also, I know some of these cards don't support Quartz Xtreme. Any comments, suggestions on this? Thanks guys.

I have an issue. Recently I tried to authorize another card to pay my balance due and itunes would not authorize the card. Now that I am looking at my banking statement/ online banking it shows that multiple times the card was charged for the exact amount due ,21.02. but the payment already came out of my primary banking account, What do I do because I can not speak to a regular person since it is an Itunes account issue. I am trying to get the artwork for an album. "Artwork Not Modifiable" appears in the artwork box and it doesn't let me drag artwork. What can I do to fix this?
Words simply can't describe what a kludge iTunes has become. Every time Apple fixes one problem, a dozen more pop up. It's like trying to hold a bunch of ping-pong balls under water simultaneously.
The immediate problem is that Lion with iTunes buggers the artwork. Some it loses, some it can't find, and some appears and disappears like the Flying Dutchman (look it up...).
The bigger issue is that so MUCH of iTunes is bad, in general. Apple trys to use iTunes as a Swiss Army knife, using it to synch iPhones, iPads, etc. The app has become so generic that it is actually good at nothing.
The interfrace is kludgy; moving the library from one location to another virtually guarantees a wasted day and usually lost art, music, or backups.
In general, Apple's hardware and software is relatively ergonomically designed. I-Tunes, however just plain SUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS! -

Suing someone for being so busy that you can't make an appointment at their business is ridiculous. You have no right to be seen before someone that A) Made an appointment or B) Has been waiting longer than you to be seen. -

I keep getting ' user not register for online ' when trying to get track names for my CD imports for Windows 7 and I'm unable to find a solution.
I can't be certain exactly which steps are going to be needed in each case, but if you work through this in sequence hopefully one of the steps will prove effective.
First try this:
With iTunes closed.
Press the WinLogoKey+R
Type in %appdata% and press return
Double click on Apple Computer
Double click on iTunes
Delete the file CD Info.cidb
Start iTunes and try again.
If that doesn't work close iTunes and try deleting com.apple.iTunes.Gracenote.plist in the same folder.
If that doesn't work close iTunes and try deleting iTunesPrefs.xml. This will reset your some of your preferences in iTunes so be sure to check them and reset as required.
If that still hasn't resolved things close iTunes and try deleting the entire %appdata%\Apple Computer folder or look for parallel files/folders in the C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Local or C:\Users\<User>\AppData\LocalLow in case a corrupt file is persisting there.
Note that any iOS device backups are stored in the MobileSync folder within Apple Computer. Once things are working you should backup your devices again as soon as possible.
Or it might not be the preference files after all...

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Since you don't say what resources and methods you've been attempting to get this matter resolved, it's difficult to offer suggestions. But if your credit card has been used without your permission, your primary recourse should be to your credit card company to report the unauthorized charges and have them issue you a new credit card. If your card has been compromised such as to make unauthorized charges on the iTunes Store, it's highly probably that it can be used elsewhere.
As to removing the card number from your iTunes Store account, see:

You should be able to change or remove the card information there. If not, go here:

and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store, if you have not done so already. If you have, please post back with a summary of what they told you and perhaps someone can offer additional suggestions as to how to proceed.

Trying to get RNG150N swapped for Xi3 unsuccessfully
I've recently been trying to get a Xi3 in place of my RNG companion box. Went to local service center and was told they didn't have them there. Talked to tech support rep and was told they can't guarantee which box I get sent. I've already been told by a rep that they're available for my market just having trouble attaining an Xi3.

dbms_xmlgen.getxml('select count(*) c from '||table_name)does not specify who the owner is. You need to change it to:
dbms_xmlgen.getxml('select count(*) c from '||owner || '.' || table_name)However, it still will not work. Why? As I said, ALL_TABLES returns tables/views current user has access to. Any type of access, not just SELECT. So if current user is, for example, granted nothing but UPDATE on some table the above select will fail. You would have to filter ALL_TABLES through ALL_SYS_PRIVS, ALL_ROLE_PRIVS, ALL_TAB_PRIVS and PUBLIC to get list of tables current user can select from. Has anyone tried to get a refund for Lion Server yet?
It's clear why server is only $50 now. Some of the new features looked very promising, but this product is completely crippled and dumbed-down compared to Snow Leopard Server. Once I accepted the fact that it is not possible to upgrade an existing 10.6 server to 10.7, I gave up on that and simply tried to do a clean install and start over from scratch. All I'm trying to do is set up a few network accounts that can connect to the iCal and Address Book services. It simply does not work. It is not possible to create an Open Directory master on 10.7 Server without some kind of failure along the way. I have clean-installed 5 times now, and it just doesn't work. Local users seem to work ok, but network users, which you must use if you want to work with the Profile Manager, simply do not work.
I am rolling back to my clone of 10.6 server now. I am curious if anyone else has given up on 10.7 server and tried to get a refund from Apple yet, and if so, what the outcome was.Yes, and I have received word that my credit card will be credited shortly.
I hope to be able to upgrade to Lion Server at some point but it is increasingly clear that Lion Server is not yet ready. -

The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
Most simple solution: restore from your backup. If you don't have a back up, now is a good time to start.
What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
