Trying to get an app and it says "this app requires iOS 5.1.
how do I do this?
Update iOS and try to download an app again.

Sounds like you actually have a 1st generation as those cannot update beyond iOS 3.1.3.

I purchased an iPad. I also have an existing iPhone. I'm trying to get my purchased apps from my phone to my pad. I used iTunes and downloaded the apps to my iPad. The apps icon is dim and the word "waiting" or something like that is below. It's like the screen is frozen now. Help!! I can get out of the screen and start over but it leads me to this same point.

Try tapping the app again to restart the download. Downloading from the iTunes Store has been a little problematic of late, but if you keep trying they do eventually download. -
Sorry the answer to my previous question did not help....when trying to get new app installed on iPad message tells me I do not have acc or its been disabled. Is this because of joint usage of email as my partner has account with iTunes using same email?
Whatever the reasons are that you think the problem exists, you will not be able to resolve it on your own. Did you see this at the bottom of the support article that I suggested that you read?

Newbie iPhone developer trying to get App on iPhone

Any advice?
SIf the apps are compatible with the device (e.g. you have at least the minimum iOS version, and it's not, for example, and iPhone-only app that you want to install on an iPad), then you should either be able to re-download it directly on the device via the Purchased tab in the App Store app, or you can sync it via your computer's iTunes.
If you are having problems getting the app on the device, then what is the app (and is it compatible with that device) and what iOS version is on it (Settings > General > About > Version ; an app's minimum iOS version should be shown on its description page in the store). -

This may indicate a hardware issue with your device. Follow Troubleshooting security software issues, and restore your device on a different known-good computer. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
It sounds like you have a hardware problem ((device may need service). Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

How do i change the Apples password that pops up when trying to get apps?
I have an iphone previously used by someone else. They set a password for the Apple store. Now every time I try to get an app, it asks for a password. Can I reset this?

The question on how to "change the Apples password" should not have be answered with advice on how to change the password, but how to reset the whole phone.

Just got this phone today with Bell.
OS is 5.0.0.604
I don't have a data plan so I connected to the internet via wifi and tried to get app world but it gave me an error
"Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support Blackberry App World."

You will need to add some type of BlackBerry Data plan. Some wireless providers offer a BIS/Personal Blackberry data plan that you can use. The Enterprise Data plan is for the Enterprise Activation which is required for synchronization with a BES server.

If you dont have none option then you must own itunes some money. So you have to enter the payment like a itunes giftcard. you can contact itunes by email by going to expresslane.apple.com

When trying to update apps an invalid apple id show up and I cannot get the apple id to update to the same id, I have restored, restored as a new phone, I have been into the manage I am at wits end after 7 hours on hold and working with techs.
Finally got through to tech support and found someone who seemed to know what was going on, he walked me through and using appleid.applesupport got me to a point where i could get a new password for the apple id that kept showing up.
I think you were on the right trail and I want to say thanks for your help. Much appreciated

Issues with device iPad apparently being registered to us store (now living in Belgium) when trying to upgrade apps which have fixes pending. How do I get these fixes Some apps I have bought while living in us and some while living in euorope (uk and Belgium)I've seen this issue posted before and not seen a solution. When you change store country it breaks all ties to the previous store.

I am trying to get into my Game Center app but every time I tap on the app it opens too a blank white screen. I have tried several times to reset my phone but I get the same result.

It sounds like you are tapping the Game Center app to open it, but the screen is blank. I recommend signing out of your account:
Go to Settings > Game Center, where you can:
Sign out (tap your Apple ID)

Then close all the running apps:
iOS: Force an app to close

Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
