I was charge $95.33 and $21.31 on 8 Sep 14, I called immediately and informed your business that I need a stop and reimburse, you told me no problem, but to this date I still missing a $95.33 payment. I have copy of my bank transaction report were it should it was charge by Adobe Systems. I did received Reimbursement for $21.31. Sarah Forsberg was assisting me but I cannot reply to her emails due to your company restrictions.

Team Work Makes the Dream Work!!!
Hi Tomas,
Sara here. I'm happy to give you my direct email (it will come in a private message). But I think you will have better luck getting the billing issue resolved by contacting Customer Care. When I look into your account, I don't see the charge for $95.33 (though I do see the order), so I'm unable to process a refund myself for this order, as I could for the other.
I most definitely want you to have your money returned to you, but this particular case is something that I'm unable to deal with.
Would you like to have my direct email so we can keep in touch as this gets resolved?
Sara

I have a Dell U3014 as well as a couple of older Dells turned up sideways as "ears".
Other than supplying the desktop "theme" (if you can call a complete lack of style along with a fair bit of inconsistency a "theme"), the OS really shouldn't be causing you to have a washed-out desktop experience. That's more a
matter of your display driver not really doing its job. What video card do you have?
FYI, one of the reasons I like Aero Glass for Win 8.1 (a 3rd party package) is that it allows me to make the desktop more pleasant to use and helps set the client areas (i.e., where work gets done) apart from the window chrome.
From what I can see, the color-management logic in Windows 8.1 is essentially unchanged from what it was in Windows 7. That there has been NO progress in this area is really a disappointment. It's an area where Microsoft has again just stopped
trying to make improvements.
If it's at all interesting to you, here's a screen grab of a REALLY cluttered up desktop. I don't normally work this way; this was an exercise to see how much I could get running. I finally gave up starting more stuff as I grew tired
and it just kept working fine...

Trying to get assistance for a connection problem ...
First, let's get this straight. No, restarting the router has no effect on the connection (as the 'technical' help desk advised me 3 times in a row).
Please see previous thread for when the problems started occuring:
http://community.bt.com/t5/BT-Infinity/Service-has-been-great-for-a-week-ping-loss-after-big-disconn...
Since then I have been in pretty much regular contact with someone from this forum called Stuart. I must commend his commitment to trying to solve the problem, including one engineer visit a few months ago which I wasn't charged for, but still the problem persists.
Tonight the line is atrocious, unusable.
tracert to one of the new FFXIV servers: http://i.imgur.com/Wx3sWgp.png (packet loss exhibited on hop 3 and 4 a few minutes after i uploaded the screenshot)
TBB to my IP: http://i.imgur.com/rlilqpr.png
The random disconnects, the packet loss, the random latency... it's disgraceful. BT have had enough time to sort this out (I reported it in April), and still I'm being charged full price for this line. The problem doesn't appear to be with the connection to my house specifically, but anything past the local exchange. Who can I speak to so I can get some sort of a refund on this...I'm well within my rights to terminate the contract with this kind of service, and I'm seriously considering doing so.I would suggest you continue with mod help as they are only bt employees on the forum and from your posts you need bt assistance

0 libSystem.B.dylib 0x95First of all, it is important to remember that "sometimes, things happen" to computers, and that a problem that you are experiencing may be a unique set of circumstances, and not necessarily a defect in the software.
1. Is your printer driver up-to-date? If you create another printer queue for a Generic PostScript Printer, does the problem still occur?
2. Create a brand new user account and test the problem there. If printing works, then the cause of the problem is something inside your original user account, like a preference file or a cache. Use a utility like Onyx to clear cache files and test removing any preference files in <user>/LibraryPreferences that seem relevant to printing. Remove the preference to the Desktop. If the problem persists, replace the preference file. If it goes away, trash it. Note that you may need to restart after removing a pref file.
3. Reset the Printing System. In System Preferences > Print & Fax, right click on the list of printers. There will be a menu command "Reset Printing System". Note that this will delete all your print queues, and you will need to add them again.
4. Is there a crash with every document? Try changing some of the print menu options. Any reason that you are printing as an image? Try not doing that.
5. There doesn't seem to be anything reported in the crash logs, but do you have any third-party software that runs at startup, or in the background? Very often these things can interfere with many processes. -
Trying to Get Started With Windows 8.1
I'm not a troll, I'm just a crotchety, oldster trying to figure out how to get Windows 8.1 to fit my workflow. I've been using Windows 7 for the last bunch of years, so I'm a bit late to the Windows 8 party, but I'm building a new PC and figured I'd
move to 8.1 instead of continuing with 7...
I liked the XP interface - extremely easy to find the application I wanted because things were hierarchical. Windows 7 was more bothersome, but I got used to it. So far, after 3 days, I'm still struggling with Windows 8.1, so I figure I'll get some
guidance here...
I did a rummage, but didn't find much on how I should change my workflow to make it easier in 8.1. In Windows 7 I had a desktop with icons for less frequently used applications, a taskbar with frequently used applications pinned, and a start menu (3rd
party) with EVERYTHING organized hierarchically so it was easy to find what I need. I'm trying to use 8.1 without adding a bunch of 3rd party stuff to make it look more like older interfaces that were organized differently.
In Windows 8, I appear to have the equivalent of THREE desktops, all different, none with any hierarchical organization.
I'm not seeing the advantage of the Start screen... Are the boxes, of whatever size, just the equivalent of icons or do they do something better? And I only appear to be able to organize horizontally, which means I'm limited to six named groups.
On the Apps screen, I already have a large number of my apps, despite deleting a bunch of the "modern" things. They exceed the width of the 24" monitor I'm using for setup. There doesn't seem to be any hierarchy there, either.
So, for example, for Office I have at least 12 icons/apps/whatevers. Including the ones I CARE about, like Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook that I use regularly. AND a bunch of OTHER stuff I VERY rarely use like Clip Organizer, and Groove,
and Uploader, and so on. But, I can't take them off the screen if I ever want to get at them, right? 'Cause there's no start menu any more...
I also have a lot of stuff for handling e-books - Calibre, a Kindle Reader, OverDrive, Adobe Digital Additionsl, a Nook Reader, a couple 3M cloud things, and so on. On the Apps page they're all OVER the place instead of being grouped together (which at
least the Office stuff is). And there doesn't appear to be a way to have them be together and hierarchical so I can quickly find Calibre or ADE quickly, and only have to see the Kindle reader or Nook reader when I want them... So how do folks organize
their screens so they don't have to wade through hundreds of things you only need once a year to get to the ones you use a couple times a month or once a week?
I also have a bunch of stuff that's just a single application, like Syncback, but instead of just being "Syncback", there' ANOTHER line that tells me who the creator is - I don't care that 2BrightSparks made it, I just want to be able to find it when
I need it - once in a while.
The desktop is as it's always been, but I don't want 2 or 300 icons on there for a bunch of stuff I rarely use. The constantly used stuff will be pinned to the taskbar, and the less frequently can be icons, but where do I do to organize all the
other stuff?
So, in my ignorance - is there a way to have 8.1 support MY workflow, or if not, how do other people organize things to make it as easy as possible to find what you need without having to wade through a ton of stuff you don't? And have it all fit on the
screen.
I found the Name Group thing for the Start screen, but I can only group applications aross the screen? Which limits me to 6 groups. How do I configure that screen so I can have multiple groups in a column?
And the Apps screen. How do I organize things hierarchically so I can have the Office stuff I care about visible, with the rest not clogging up space but available for drilling down?
I currently have the system boot to the desktop, which is most like Windows 7, but without a start menu to group things, I'd need a lot of icons for the applications I use, and a lot MORE for the stuff I rarely use. Cumbersome.
How are other people organizing in 8.1?I have a Dell U3014 as well as a couple of older Dells turned up sideways as "ears".

Trying to get broadband with bt from august
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to you concerning the connection of BT Broadbrand into our home at Tallbridge road, Co.Armagh,
We applied for both phone and broadband at the beginning of August. The phone line was installed by an engineer, went live as planned, with the appropriate hardware arriving, simply, quick and efficiently.
This was not the case however in relation to the broadband. We have been pushed from pillar to post for the last nearly 4 months with operators either not knowing what the issue is or simply hanging up as they cannot seem to resolve it nor find the manners to adequately tell us the status of the order tho generally they are very nice and pleasant however in the end if they are of no help,
they assure you that someone from yet another team will call but they never do all we get is a text message that our order has been put back another week (i have numerous of these messages).
The problem seems to lie with a tag on the line. To give you a quick run down, we built the house from scratch, there has been no previous house on the site since approx 4/5 years ago therefore we are not responsible for the tag and have no power to remove it or look into it, therefore as a bill paying BT customer we expect BT to sort the issue.
We get assured when we call it will be removed by force within the next 48 hours this has been going on in excess of 3400 hours.
We live in the countryside so open zone is a pointless short term remedy so please do not suggest that. The is no 3g signal and we need are emails for work to pay a mortgage. Internet runs quickly and sufficiently in neighboring areas we would expect this should not be the issue.
We have been very patient however we think that 3/4 months later this is unacceptable.
Can you please advise how you will help?
I have spent 27mins this morning on the phone and got the same line that there is an unresolved issue and someone will be in touch. If the line cannot be cleared for broadband please let us know as we will simply have to look to another provider.
I await your response.

Signed up for Edge in May, somehow VERIZON "accidentally" cancelled my Edge program for 5 months, and then sent me a letter saying they were fixing the problem. I never noticed that it had been cancelled, and have never in 11 years had a problem with Verizon. My bill when on the edge program with the incentives, is about $180 for both phones. When it was not on the Edge program due to Verizon's mistake, my bill was $185 per month for those months. So basically, it was pretty much the same price, because of the incentives we received for adding the Edge program, and we were able to get 2 new phones. After HOURS of speaking on the phone with agents trying to correct this issue when my bill hit over $300 in October, we were finally able to fix the money problem and I wasn't "overcharged". However, there has been no one in this company that has been able to help me fix the other pretty big problem with THEIR error. Since they "fixed" the problem in October, they started my Edge program over, and basically shafted me out of 5 months and payments towards the 2 phones. The only reason we agree to do the edge program was to upgrade phones every 12 months, but now because of VERIZON'S MISTAKE, we are going to have to make 17 payments to reach that halfway point. All they keep telling me is that I wasn't on Edge for those 5 months, so I wasn't paying for the phones, but what noone understands, is that if they never screwed up and canceled my edge on accident, then I would have been paying basically the same amount of money every month, except I would be 5 payments further on my plan. I don't care where they allocated my payments, this was VERIZONS mistake and they need to go back those 6 months and fix every bill to show that I was on the edge program and they need to update my account, but refuse to help me. WHO SHOULD I CONTACT FOR HELP? News companies, better business bureau?? I'm so frustrated.
This happened to me to and I feel strongly that Verizon should correct the extension of the end date on 2 phones on my account. I upgraded 3 lines on my account on the same day in April 2014 - one line has continued on the Edge program correctly, 2 lines were taken off the Edge program in error by Verizon and when Verizon discovered their error (and of course caused billing issues that were difficult to work through) and put the 2 phones back on the Edge program, those 2 phones now have a much later end date than the one line that didn't get canceled off Edge (again error by Verizon). During my last conversation with a Verizon rep while correcting the billing issue, I asked if they could correct the issue on the completion/upgrade timeline on the 2 lines Verizon messed up & was told it was a different department I would need to talk to....I am working up the time & patience to spend on a call to Verizon to see if there is anyway they will fix this as they should!

Trying to get iPhone with Family Plan.
I currently am on a family plan, and would like to get the new iPhone, if I add another line and get the iPhone will I be able to change the iPhone to another line on the Family Plan that already has the data and text packages already on it and then just use an old phone on that line that does not require a data package and just pay the $10 a month?
Leonard1818 wrote:
Why was I under the impression that you had to buy a data plan when you add a line with a smartphone? I too have a family share plan and if I were to add a line to the plan, I could do so for $10/month but I'd have to get a basic phone otherwise to get a smartphone it would be $10/month + Data plan for that line... That's not the case?
I am not following here. You may have been "under the impression that you had to buy a data plan when you add a line with a smartphone" because you do have to buy a data plan when you add a line with a smartphone. Furthermore, you have to keep the data plan as long as the smartphone is active on that line. If you activate a basic phone on that line at some point in the future, you can cancel the data plan as you will no longer have a smartphone on that line.
So yes, if you get a smartphone on a new line, the cost for that line will be $10/month + the cost of the data plan.
If you are only adding the new line just to get a smartphone which you can then switch to another line, you can cancel the data plan on the NEW line after the smartphone is switched to the other line because the new line will no longer have a smartphone active on it. The cost for the new line will then be $10/month. -
Trying to get started with iPad
I received an iPad for Christmas. However, I have an iMac 17" flat screen PowerPC G4 running Mac OSX 10.4.11 with iTune 8. (Yes I know I am a little behind the curve but it all as worked for me until now.) On the iPad box it says I need OS 10.5.8 and at least iTunes 9.1. I am covered for the iTunes as I have a copy of iTune 9. My problem is finding OS 10.5. I did a little research yesterday and found 10.5.4 for $200 which I think is quite high since I want to recall the original release for 10.5 was only $129, and the upgrades are usually free from Apple. Also there is no guarantee that I'll get a PowerPC version. I ran into that with some other older Apple software I ordered from a third party. Any suggestions on were to turn to get a copy of 10.5 for a PowerPC G4?
Thanks for your help.
RetiredmacWell, I was curious about 10.5 and googled it. Seems the "going" price for a new box is $199, but I did find a link to Amazon where it was on sale for $162. I would recommend doing an extensive search for Mac OS X 10.5 and see what prices you might find. But it seems that, unless you are buying used, the price will be much higher than $129.

Trying to get wireless with tew-424ub on my iMac
I have an older iMac that is running 10.4. I went out and got a TrentNET tew-424ub because I was reading online that I could get it to work. Now, I installed it and the driver on this website (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/21816) but still does not work. Is there something I am doing wrong? Do I need to do some sort of hardware scan or something? Has anyone gotten this to work? I would LOVE to give her this machine.
Thanks so much!Sorry, cannot help you with that particular wireless USB adapter. Generally speaking, a USB adapter is not going to work properly unless suitable Mac driver software is installed (and there have been many reports about difficulties). A working adapter driver stands the risk of being affected by a subsequent Mac OS update. So, with wireless USB, be prepared to experiment.
If the iMac model allows it, it is usually a better idea to install an AirPort (or, if applicable, AirPort Extreme) card.
A wireless Ethernet bridge can be a good alternative. Examples include Belkin F5D7330, D-Link DWL-G810 or DWL-G820, Linksys WET54G or WGA600N, and Netgear WGE111. A wireless Ethernet bridge connects to the Ethernet port of the computer. No drivers are normally required, and the unit can be used under almost any operating system. The bridge (sometimes called a gaming adapter) can also be used to make other Ethernet devices wireless. WPA security may or may not be supported for a certain model or a version of a model (a firmware update may be sufficient), so study the specifications before you buy.

Ipod touch trying to get wireless with dsl verizon
does anyone know how to get password or what password i would use to input into my ipod touch to access my dsl wireless router from verizon
Hey ronac75 on the router label there should be a WEP Key on your wireless router which is what you would as the password you have to enter it as exactly as seen on the router for Windows PC and OS 10 for MACs.
