Trying to get different column headings for folders in Apple Mail - Help!

Hi there
I really hope someone can help here.
I have a few different email accounts coming into my Apple Mail program. For each account I am using a 'Saved' folder (for the incoming email i have read) and a 'Sent' folder (for the emails I have sent).
In my 'Saved' folder, I want my column headings to be:
a. Who the email is from
b. The subject line
c. The date and time received
In my 'Sent' folder, I want my column headings to be:
a. The address I have sent to
b. The subject line
c. The date and time received
The problem is that when I changed the column headings for one folder, it changes them for all of them. So I can display who my incoming emails are from, but in the sent folder, it only tells me who my sent emails are from....me!! This is no use at all. Is there anyway to apply different column headings to different folders? In Entourage this is easy, but Im at a loss of what to do in mail.

as i said, Sent mailbox is special and can have custom columns separate from other mailboxes. ALL other mailboxes have the same columns and you can only customize them simultaneously. if you want to change that leave Apple feedback on the issue

Mailboxes with different column headings

This question was somewhat covered in 2006-2007 but not recently. I would like to set different column headings for certain mailboxes in Mail. I understand that the Inbox folder keeps a "logical" set of columns (From and not To, for example). The folder Sent also behaves the same. But I have organized most of my Received messages in a folder which then has subfolders for each company or person or sets of persons. I also organized my Sent messages in separate into a Mailbox called Sent Messages with appropriate subfolders/mailboxes. I would like to keep all of the Mailboxes that "receive messages" with certain columns (such as From and not To) and the "sent messages" with a different set of columns (To instead of From, Date Sent instead of Date Received, etc...). But I cannot do that in Mail 5.3 running on MacOS 10.7.5 . Is there a solution to achive these settings permanently?

Hello, I see this is an old post but is marked as solved. Did you find a way to do this? I've been looking for a way but to no avail.

Can you do something in the javascript code where you have given specific IDs to each buttons in your menu? It could end up in something like "$('#menu_id').css('background-color', '#1B3E70');"

     I have to repeat the column headings for each line item in main window.How can this be done.

It is very much possible..
Follow the steps..
1. In your print program Put write_form function module in a Loop.. pass the element as Item_line (whatever in your case)..
and the window as Main..
2. Put the below code in script editor:
/E ITEM_LINE
/: &zzItemNo&,, &zzmaterial&,, &zzQuantity&
/: &W_value-item&,, &w_value-MATNR&,, &w_value-MENGE&
One more thing for you.. There is a table calles TTDTG.. here you can maintain some user defined variables... Like zzmaterial.. maintain its text as Material Number.. and then you can use this ZZMATERIAL in sap script editor to diplay output as Material Number (On the layout)

We can't know. You have not provided any system info, not told us what version of ID you use nor provided any specifics about the document like images, color profiles, fonts, paragraph styles and what have you...

Based on your answer, and the answer to another question (which I didn't see before I asked mine, even tho I searched), I get the impression that iPad Mail is just a different face on web mail, that the messages are only stored on the server, not downloaded and stored on the iPad 2. Assuming this is an iCloud mail account, sign out of iCloud in its preference pane, then sign back in with the new password.

As best I can see from googling it, there is NO easy direct way with Apple's builtin tools. If you Google it you will find that many software companies are selling Apps specifically designed for this purpose. Good luck.

I also had the WOT warn me away from the website you mentioned. This one works well on this forum, in gmail, and even in the Comcast mail program, which didn't take emoticons very well for a while. I find it has a lot of options.

For a SQL Query region, under Report Attributes, is it possible to indent certain Column Headings somehow in order to achieve the following result:
Test1 : A
--------Sub Test1a : A1
Test2 : B
Test3 : C
--------Sub Test3a : C1
--------Sub Test3b : C2
Test4 : D
etc...
So based on the above, I would like to be able to indent 'Sub Test1a', 'Sub Test3a' and 'Sub Test3b'. I have tried ' ' as well as <pre> Sub Test1a</pre> but unfortunately no go.
Can anyone pls assist.

Try setting the column heading alignment to "Left" and then
