Trying to get fios since it came out in NYC... Need advice

I live in the Financial District in Manhattan, NY and I have been trying to get FIOS for three years now, with no luck... I call in every few weeks and still no availability, I just get the typical 6 - 12 months response from VZ I have been getting for 3 years.
A year ago, the building across the street from me got FIOS. I called to let VZ know and see if I could get it too. They said that because it wasnt on my block, it wouldnt help me in my neverending quest to get FIOS.
A month ago, a building right next door (on the same block, about 5 feet from my front door) just was finished being built, and they have FIOS available to their residents, built into the building.... Yet when I call VZ, they still say it is unavailable to me, even though though my neighbor has it.
You would think VZ would be trying to expand their coverage as much as they can, yet whenever I call customer service to inquire about getting FIOS, I feel like I just get put on hold for an hour and I dont end up any closer to my goal.
Since my new neighbor (we even share a wall) has FIOS, does anyone have any advice on how I could get it? Getting FIOS seems to be almost as difficult as dealing with TWC...

Are you in a Multiple Dwelling Unit (condo/apartment)?
If so, VZ can not install FIOS in your building until your landlord/HOA signs two agreements.
If you landlord/HOA has not been contacted by FIOS, they can get in touch here:

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

The disc will not include all updates that have been released for Lightroom 5. However, after you install from the disk you will be able to update to the latest version. It might be easier to just buy the DVD to get the serial number, and then download and install the latest release from here:

2 weeks trying to get fios at my condo

I have just moved to Fla and switched over to Verizon wireless (2 lines), I then tried to get fios at home, I signed up for a bundle package, when they sent me a conformation e-mail all the services were different and prices higher. When I called to talk to someone about it they said you placed the order on line we can't help you with that....so I went into my Verizon store, just got to new mobile accounts days before, they said the same thing, they can't even see online orders, so they talked me into canceling and starting over with them.... after giving all my information again and being there like a hour they had me all set... so I thought they had me signed up at a much higher price, to which they said oh that was Internet only pricing we can't offer that....would have been nice to know that before another wasted hour....they told me to sign up on line again which I did same low price offer same crap conferMatin email with different service and prices. They have been calling me for days and I keep explaining why I didn't finish the order...they must not hear so good!...finally today talked to someone said she got my order approved I was all set... when I asked her to confirm pricing and services she said less service higher priceing...I asked to talk to a supervised who could actually help me. After thirty mins on hold I finally hang up...10 mins later they call me back and to make a very long heated conversation short, she said my condo complex was fios ready that's why I got the pricing I did, but my particular unit was not so that pricing didn't apply to me....**bleep**! Welcome to the Apple Community.
First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

Trying to get multiple sounds to certain out puts

I have an X-Fi Platinum s/c running on Windows Ult7 64. I am trying to get my headphones to only hear radio chatter in FSX or FS2004, and other noises on my main speakers (engine, cockpit noises, etc...etc). Is there any way to do this?

There was a program listing a few weeks back for virtual audio cable. Do a google for that and see if that suits your needs.

IMac crashing since Yosemite came out

Since I installed Yosemite I have ocasional crashes, the screen goes black (sometimes blue/green) and the iMac restarts automatically.
It happens when playing video games mostly (in this case, World of Warcraft), but sometimes it happened using a video editing software.
When returning to the desktop sometimes there is a message of "there was a graphics error" and then you can send the report to Apple.

I did the Apple Hardware Test (3 passes, full test) and the results came ok.
I thought the issue could be related to the graphics card, like the drivers not being correctly installed.
Afterwards I tried to downgrade to Mavericks, using an USB drive, but for some reason once the installation starts there is an error and the installation is canceled. There doesn't seem to be a Yosemite Combo Upgrade yet.
I searched in the World of Warcraft Mac forums and other users are having the same problem, in newer iMacs.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have had the Blackberry Playbook since it came out. I have had 3 email accounts on it since I don't remember when. Suddenly a few days ago my window popped up for me to add my pw to one of my accounts. It said it was not the right pw or un. It was both.

I went in to my settings and worked and worked with it to no avail. So I decided to delete that account and try to re-add it. Forget it. I have worked for 2 days now or more and tried everything under the sun. I am not a computer geek but I am no dummy to them either. It always says server is not working or something like that. I have become so fed up with computer technology lately that I want to take my laptop, tablet and all of it and throw it against a brick wall. Why has everything become so complicated? I thought computer technology was improving. Not! Also, every single update rim had done has taken from my battery. When I first got it I could read on kobo for hours with no change in battery status hardly. After each update my battery got weaker and weaker until now I am lucky if I get an hour out of it on anything online and a good 2 hours reading, maybe. I loved it when I first got it, but it gets worse and worse. Help! I have a bellsouth email acct. and I used the info from my laptop and it gets and sends my mail just fine and has for forever. I just don't know what is up with it. And it would be so wonderful to have access to other readers besides just kobo. I tried to put some pdf books on it a few days ago and I could not get them to show up on my adobe reader for anything. I have others on there and some of them did and some didn't. Ugggh! What is up RIM with our tablets?

Has anyone experienced any odd crashing since mavericks came out?

My computer has maybe crashed once or twice since I've owned it. I've had mavericks for three days, and I've been experiencing multiple crashes. My screens get pixelated and offset, then shuts down.

My ipod Classic hangs and freezes on the apple screen. It will not do anything. I tried to restore using iTunes, but came out 1415 error code, and cannot do anything about it.

The 'problem with a previous purchase' message implies that iTunes wasn't able to collect the payment from your last purchase - until that is paid you won't be able to download anything else from the store, including free items, redownloading past purchases, and updates to your apps.
For a card to have a chance of being accepted it needs to be registered to the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, and have been issued by a bank in the country where you and your iTunes account are. If they're debit cards that you are trying to use then they don't appear to still be accepted in all countries, and even where they are it seems that not all work.
If you don't have any credit/debit cards that are accepted by iTunes then are iTunes gift cards available in your country (they are not available in all and they are country-specific, they can only be used in their country of issue) ? If they are then you could potentially use them as your payment method.
