ive tried all types of things i read online and it is stuck on moderate no matter what i do, im hooked into router directly, when i hook directly into modem it switches to open... please help

Trying to get Open NAT Type on 2 Xbox 360's at the same time

After buying 3 new routers in a row trying to find a compatible router at my last house with Comcast, I finally found one that works then move to a house with Fios. I LOVE the speed... but this modem/router took our nat issue back to square one... obviously we're trying to play CoD: MW3 together, but we're both getting moderate NAT. I read a couple posts on the forums here and nobody could offer up a solution (looks like it has something to do with a NAT table that's too small or something?)
Anyway, I came up with a potential solution but it's something I've never done before, maybe someone else knows how:
I'm trying to connect my old dlink router to the actiontec router's internet connection, then have the xbox's connected to the dlink router with dhcp enabled. my theory is to make the actiontec router accept whatever traffic is coming through the dlink router, without knowing what devices are connected to the dlink router.
in this way the dlink router could potentially control the NAT between the xbox's via UPnP by itself, and the actiontec router would have the xbox live ports forwarded to the dlink router's ip address.
Am I crazy, could this work? so far I have the dlink router on a seperate subnet (192.168.0.1) while the actiontec is 192.168.1.1. the dlink router can ping machines on the actiontec router's network but not vice versa. also the dlink router cannot access the internet through the actiontec router yet. which is why i'm here. if this could work, can anyone explain how to set it up?

to get both working, you must enable uPNP on your router. If you are connecting your xboxes to your Actiontec, same rule applies. There is no way to allow two xbox's to connect with OpenNAT without uPNP.
Your best bet (if you can't move the actiontek behind your D-LINK) is to hook the two xbox's up to the Actiontec (preferable wired, but wifi should work).
I have 2 xbox's running fine with uPNP enabled. Both have OpenNAT.

Keep checking the reservation page for the Apple Store you want to go to, and as soon as an appointment slot is available, take it. Or go to the store as soon as it opens, and tell them you want the first available slot if someone cancels, and wait.
Suing someone for being so busy that you can't make an appointment at their business is ridiculous. You have no right to be seen before someone that A) Made an appointment or B) Has been waiting longer than you to be seen.

2 PS3's connection problems/ How do I get open Nat on 2 PS3s.

I am having problems with the connection on my ps3's. Me and my brother both have seperate ps3's. We play call of duty mw3 together. When we are both online and playing we have problems. We both are in the same party and we try to join games but we can never join any. When we are both online, One of the ps3's has an Open NAT and the other ps3 has a moderate NAT or a strict NAT. When only one of us is playing everything is fine.

Words simply can't describe what a kludge iTunes has become. Every time Apple fixes one problem, a dozen more pop up. It's like trying to hold a bunch of ping-pong balls under water simultaneously.
The immediate problem is that Lion with iTunes buggers the artwork. Some it loses, some it can't find, and some appears and disappears like the Flying Dutchman (look it up...).
The bigger issue is that so MUCH of iTunes is bad, in general. Apple trys to use iTunes as a Swiss Army knife, using it to synch iPhones, iPads, etc. The app has become so generic that it is actually good at nothing.
The interfrace is kludgy; moving the library from one location to another virtually guarantees a wasted day and usually lost art, music, or backups.
In general, Apple's hardware and software is relatively ergonomically designed. I-Tunes, however just plain SUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS!

I keep getting ' user not register for online ' when trying to get track names for my CD imports for Windows 7 and I'm unable to find a solution.

I can't be certain exactly which steps are going to be needed in each case, but if you work through this in sequence hopefully one of the steps will prove effective.
First try this:
With iTunes closed.
Press the WinLogoKey+R
Type in %appdata% and press return
Double click on Apple Computer
Double click on iTunes
Delete the file CD Info.cidb
Start iTunes and try again.
If that doesn't work close iTunes and try deleting com.apple.iTunes.Gracenote.plist in the same folder.
If that doesn't work close iTunes and try deleting iTunesPrefs.xml. This will reset your some of your preferences in iTunes so be sure to check them and reset as required.
If that still hasn't resolved things close iTunes and try deleting the entire %appdata%\Apple Computer folder or look for parallel files/folders in the C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Local or C:\Users\<User>\AppData\LocalLow in case a corrupt file is persisting there.
Note that any iOS device backups are stored in the MobileSync folder within Apple Computer. Once things are working you should backup your devices again as soon as possible.
Or it might not be the preference files after all...

Trying to get another card for my G5

This is one of the few questions I've asked Apple, and they absolutely have no clue on what to answer. I was on hold for 30 minutes trying to get an answer for this, and it wasn't a straight answer after all. I also asked one of the "Apple Experts" in online-chat, he sent me to AppleCare.
I have a PowerMac G5 (late 2004) Dual 2.5GHz. It has an AGP 256MB ATI Radeon card in it with DVI and VGA outputs.
I want to get a second 23-inch display, but I don't want to use the same card. The G5 I have from my understanding, uses PCI-X slots. I know it's backwards compatible with PCI cards.
What card is best for my computer to run that other display separately? Also, I know some of these cards don't support Quartz Xtreme. Any comments, suggestions on this? Thanks guys.

2 xboxes or ps3's with open nat for the rv042? yes i can!

i signed up specifically to tell future and current rv042 users that after a year of muckin' around with this fairly advanced networking technology, i've finally discovered how to open the nat types of 2 xboxes, instead of one being open and all others being moderate or strict. i'll break it down simply, 3074 port forwarded for the one, and dmz host for the other one. i couldn't figure out for the life of me, why the dmz host wouldn't open the nat type of the 2nd xbox at first, thats when it dawned on me that xboxes aren't capable of understanding the rv042 dmz host. so i tested the dmz host on my computer and it worked, putting my computer wide open to all ports on the internet. so what i tried was internet connection sharing, plugging my xbox wired into my computer which is set as the dmz host. i was all excited, jumping up and down for joy when i had succeeded in what took me an entire year to figure out. why so happy, do you ask? i don't think all of you know just how painful it is to not be able to open the same port more than once on the same network, very, very, aggravating. if you are having the same problem and don't understand how to do what i've explained, just ask. i cannot stand the thought that there are others out there like me that haven't been able to figure this out, it just causes me more pain. i will help.

I am having the same issue. My roommate and I both have our own copies of MW3 and our own xbox 360's connected to the same router/modem. We have Verizon Fios and the modem is an Actiontec MI424WR. We have no problem playing at the same time online as long as we are not in the same match. However, when we try to play in the same match, we can never get into a match. It just keeps cycling through the "searching for matches screen. We were at one point having issues with the OPEN NAT type but that has been solved, don't have me how, it just started working after I set the router back to defaults and we haven't had issues since.
I tried the link above, but that doesn't seem to help my issue and I think you are having the same issue has me. If you figure it out, please let me know.

Unable to get open NAT and UPnP unavailable with PS3

I just got my Jetpack couple days ago and was testing out the performance of it to see if I should drop my cable and keep the Verizon 4g. So far, it has been pretty good. I am seeing download speeds twice as fast, 24mbs, and upload speeds nearly 10x as fast. Latency is alright, as it closely matches cable. This seems to be a great thing with my laptop doing all the typical things. But then I wanted to see how it was with my PS3. After many connection issues, I finally connected, but NAT is type 3 and UPnP is unavailable. With cable, I was open and had UPnP. I have searched about how to fix this, and some say it isn't possible with Verizon while others say add the PS3 to DMZ or open certain protocols for the PS3. I have tried everything people said, that I could do with this modem, and nothing works. Any ideas on how to make this work, or do I just drop Verizon and retain my cable internet?

it seems as though my gameplay on my ps3 has been very THICK(lag and delay on screen), I have tried changing the MTU and some other options and I already notice the difference but i think I can maximize my lag-free gaming if I completely open up NAT on my PS3.
Does anyone have a great guide that works?
Also would changing the MTU/ Disabling UPnP and unchecking anonymous internet requests effect my Download/Upload speeds or anything else, or does it just help fix gaming lag?
Input towards topic and questions i've mentioned will be greatly appreciated,

disabling the WMM has something to do with the support you get from the servers and from i was told that's not needed to be enbled it should be disabled, and by the way the linksys support team explained it's better disabled instead of enabled and it wouldn't hurt to get a actual gaming router .. i went with the E3000 and i ended up having to ship it back for some defective that i didnt even cause, i would look into a actual gaming router that supports gaming like the e3000 or the e3200 , it should said for gaming consles or something like that but i will totally look into your problem personally and go from there! intil then i would try to get in contact with playstation gaming system and figure out what ps3 ports are so you can go from there - there should be a way to test the nat type (there 3 nat type's on playstation 3 ) there's nat type 3, there is nat type 2 (which is open) and there is nat type 1 and the one we want is the nat type 2 i believe, which means open nat type (meaning plug and play enabled and open ports on the router )
