Trying to handle the error messge with a forced disconnect

I have an after logon trigger with the following code, this is trying to disconnect a user if they have logged onto discoverer 4i too many times (value held in a table).
the trigger is working ok and does not allow then to connect, however it exits with these errors
"Authentication Failed.
(Failed to connect to database - ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1 ORA-20998: Too many discoverer sessions, please try later. ORA-06512: at line 38 ) "
I would like to just show the raised ORA-20998: Too many discoverer sessions, please try later. error, is this possible?
I am trying this on 8.1.7.4, but do have access to 9.2.0.8 if that helps.
create or replace trigger COM_DISCOVERER_SESSIONS
after logon on database

Is notify() a standard method in all objects in Java?Yes, as are notifyAll() and wait(). You'll also notice in the API that there already is an Observer interface and an Observable object. That's probably sufficient to implement what you want to do.

  • Error while trying to invoice the delivery doc with future date

    Hi Gurus,
    I am trying to create the Invoice document with future date with reference to delivery document,but the system is not allowing to do and its throwing the error message billing date is greater than current date not authorized.How to resolve this issue.
    Thanks and Regards,
    hari Challa.

    Dear Hari
    Curious to know why you are trying to maintain a future date in billing when you yourself very well know that it is WRONG.  Logically, the invoice date should be either Actual GI Date from Delivery or the system date.
    Coming to your question, in VTFL, for your item category if routine 11 is maintained for the field Data VBRK/VBRP, you cannot achieve what you want.
    thanks

    A few problems with this question that need clarification:
    You're using a GUI, but we have no way of knowing which one -- Swing? AWT? SWT? other?
    You ask how to fix your program flow and logic but don't show us the current state. Most of us can't read minds so a bit of code would be nice here.
    You mention "Page". What context is this in?
    A great resource that has helped me and will probably help you is an article entitled [How To Ask Questions The Smart Way|http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html] . It will tell you how to formulate your questions so that the folks here will be better able to answer them. Good luck.

    Please don't overwhelm us with so many details!
    Just off the top of my head ... as a general approach ... something like
    nohup proca
    nohup procb
    nohup procc
    while (some condition checking that all three procs are still running ... maybe a ps -ef |grep  )
    do
    sleep 2
    done
    procd
    But, we'd really need to know what it is you are really trying to accomplish, instead of your pre-conceived solution.

  • BPEL Transaction Inactive : Instance terminated without handling the Error

    Hi All,
         I have a BPEL process which uses XA transaction to insert data in MS SQL Server table.
    When I try to insert "out of range date value", it errs out as expected, but the transaction terminates without proceeding for the error handling part. I even tried disabling the idempotent option for the DB adapter, still the process terminates without error handling.
    Kindly guide me how I can overcome transaction inactive issue and handle the error in the catch all block.

    Hello,
    You can't catch the roll back exception directly. It will rollback your transaction and because of that it will not get in the catch block.
    To solve this you can create a new BPEL to do the DB insert. Invoke that BPEL with a new transaction. Catch the Database error in the first BPEL
    Example:
      <component name="InsertData" version="2.0">
        <implementation.bpel src="InsertData.bpel"/>
        <property name="bpel.config.transaction">requiresNew</property>
        <property name="bpel.config.inMemoryOptimization">false</property>
        <property name="bpel.config.completionPersistPolicy">On</property>
      </component>
    In this example I have all my logic in the "SyncSypplierMaster" and then I invoke the BPEL "InsertData" (with the property <property name="bpel.config.transaction">requiresNew</property>) to insert in the database. I catch the error in the "SyncSypplierMaster" BPEL where I have the "InsertData" invocation.
    This works because SyncSypplierMaster" is in a different transaction.
    Note: If you are inserting in multiple tables and the error is in a child table you will not catch the DB error message also. If this is your case, I recommend you to investigate what is the patch required to solve this problem.

    Daniel Dias

  • Is there any blog or examples to handle the errors without using ESB tool kit.

    Hello,
    I have been trying to work with error handling since last week but I dont understand how to construct the error message. Is there any blog or examples to explain handle the errors step by step from scratch without using ESB tool kit.Can anybody help me out.
    Thanks in advance.

    You can use option 3 to construct the error message inside orchestration.
    Before using a BizTalk XML Message inside an orchestration, it must first be constructed. In fact this is just populating the message with XML. If there is an attempt to use this message before it is constructed, the above error will come. Some messages
    come pre-constructed, such as messages that originate from a send port
    There are several ways to construct a message inside an orchestration:
    Create a new message from an existing message using BizTalk map
    Assign one message to other(i.e. creating a copy of an existing message)
    Creating a message with the help of a System.XML.XMLDocument variable
    We have to first declare an orchestration variable of type XmlDocument. Then in a message assignment shape, we need to do something like this:
    myxmlDoc = new XmlDocument();
    myxmlDoc.LoadXML("<somexmlhere></somexmlhere>")
    myMsgBeingConstructed = myxmlDoc;

    I am having a issue installing Adobe Acrobat XI.  I am running Windows 8.1. When  go to install it gets an error.  The error is with transform in registry and will not install product. I am looking at how I can fix this registry problem.
    I have tried to uninstall all Abode Acrobat installations but one file remains and refuses to be uninstalled. It gives me this error : Error applying Transforms . Verify that specified paths are valid. It was installed on Sept 18 2014.  I have downloaded a Transform update but it tells I do not have a Adobe Acrobat product installed.

    Hi all,
    Sylonious, did you manage to sort this problem out? I have been experiencing similar problems. I think my problem was because I had many different versions of JDKs. I have done a complete re-install. I would be really grateful to you (and anyone else) for help with this problem.
    I have re-installed JSDK1.4.2_03, set the "path" variable to "C:\JSDK1.4.2_03".
    When I compile using "javac" I get an error saying "javac" is not recognised.
    When I compile using "C:\j2sdk1.4.2_03\bin\javac Freq.java" no error is thrown.
    Every time I try to run a java file, I always get the NoClassDefFound error. When run with the -verbose option, files are loaded from C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03\bin - is this correct?
    I have removed all previous references to java in the registry editor.
    Please help !
    Regards,
    Vipul

  • How to handle the #error in ssrs expression

    hi
    Please any one help me to resolve this #error ,
    I have a calculated filed in that expression i given a if condition like below
    data of column is coming like this 0 , 0.0
    =IIF(Fields!Column1.Value=0,0,((Fields!Column2.Value - Fields!Column1.Value)/( Fields!Column1.Value)))
    how to handle the #error
    Please let me know any one

    Hi deepuk23,
    According to your description, when you use the IIF() function in the report you got some error,right?
    The issue can be caused by the column1 and column2 have different datatype, I assumed that one is integer and another is float, when the Column1 is 0 or null,  because IIF() function always evaluates both the true part and the false part, even
    though it returns only one of them, it will throw out the error.
    To resolve the issue, you should use a nested IIF() function to avoid the zero-divisor in any rate like below:
    =IIF(Fields!Column1.Value=0,0,((Fields!Column2.Value - Fields!Column1.Value)/(IIF(Fields!Column1.Value=0,1,Fields!Column1.Value))))
    For more information, please refer to this article:
    FAQ: Why does the “Attempted to divide by zero” error still happen?
    If you still have any problem, please feel free to ask.

  • Trying to use the JSSE library with Jrocket 7.0

    Hi All,
    I HAC who is trying to use the JSSE library with Jrocket 7.0.
    Sometimes the socket works and sometimes it does not. It throws the below
    exception,
    The exception stacktrace is given below:
    java.net.SocketException: SSL implementation not available

    at
    COM.jrockit.reflect.NativeMethodInvoker.invoke(Ljava.lang.Object;[Ljava.lang
    .Object;)Ljava.lang.Object;(Unknown Sou
    the line of code causing the stack trace is:
    Socket socket =
    javax.net.ssl.SSLSocketFactory.getDefault().createSocket(HOST, PORT);
    He has added the following line to his jre/lib/security/java.security file:
    security.provider.3=com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.Provider
    and he has added the JSSE jar files to the jre/lib/ext directory.
    The problem occurs when SSL is enabled in the config.xml file (e.g. <SSL
    Enabled="true" ...>). It does NOT occur when SSL is disabled.
    When SSL is disabled, the following code shows all three providers as
    defined in the java.security file. If SSL is enabled then he only sees the
    default 2 implementation and NOT the one he added above.
    java.security.Provider[] a = java.security.Security.getProviders();
    for (int i=0; i < a.length; i++)
    System.out.println("name: " + a.getName());
    System.out.println("ver: " + a[i].getVersion());
    System.out.println("info: " + a[i].getInfo());
    The problem is that client does not want to use WebLogic specific classes to
    create an SSL socket. As well he do NOT wish to dynamically register the
    SunJSSE provider. Since this setup works when SSL is disabled in WebLogic he
    believes he has configured everything properly.
    It appears to me that WebLogic is removing the JSSE as a security provider
    if SSL is enabled.
    Is it the expected behaviour? and Is it possible to statically register the
    JSSE provider in the jre/lib/security/java.security file ?
    Any pointers will be appreciated,
    Thanks in advance,
    Rubesh

    Hi Howard, just trawling through the Labview TE issues as I myself have started to work on a similar issue. I have now infact upgraded the Labview Test Executive to work in 7.1 ok (both development and Runtime).
    Using XP I had no issues upgrading in the development environment - creating the run-time version was not as easy but manged to do so with help from the Application Builder. I have also tested the SQL function (as i log to Oracle) and a basic audio test using a DSA4551 - again both seem to be upgraded with no issues.
    regards, paul.

    The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are:
    Restart... Reset... Restore from Backup...  Restore as New...

    An AirPort Express running firmware version 6.3 must be an old one. The Express is unrelated to Bluetooth, but it is likely that your wireless speaker signal is interfering with the Express's wireless signal. This is a common problem with wireless speakers and the older 2.4 GHz - only Express.
    The cure probably going to require upgrading your Express to a newer model, and using the relatively interference-free 5 GHz band.

  • Getting error message - onError undefined - even though onError is handling the error

    I'm setting up a new app in CF 10, and have set up my application.cfc. I created a test page that calls onError() manually, as a test. Like the title says, I get a message saying "onError is not defined", but onError() itself is handling this error. I know this because I have it output a string to indicate that it has fired.
    Also, I'm trying to test onError() by intentionally not closing a tag and calling the page. onError() won't fire here; instead I get the standard ColdFusion error grey box.
    Any help on these is much appreciated.

    Xophe99 wrote:
    ... I believe that an instance of Application.cfc is instantiated when the application starts, else how could the event handlers listen and fire when they should?
    That is generally true. However, that is only part of a process that the ColdFusion engine does under the hood, beyond your control. However, the way to manually call a function is to use an object that is created or is available in the current page context. This brings us to the next point.
    Also, you can call Application.cfc's functions on all cfm pages via the variables scope:
    http://www.bennadel.com/blog/385-Application-cfc-Scoped-Functions-Are- Stored-In-Page-VARIABLES-Scope.htm
    That is also true. As ColdFusion stores methods in the variables scope, and practically 'includes' Application.cfc in the CFM page request, calling variables.onError() would work. So, too, would appObj.onError(), where appObj is an object created from Application.cfc.
    However, these are what you could call undocumented features. They occur by accident rather than by design. It would, for example, be inadvisable to use them in critical software.
