Thanks for the question. It sounds like your husband’s iPad may have restored from a backup of your device. If he was using iCloud to automatically backup, you can attempt to restore his backup:

Try restoring from the backup created at the beginning of the sync process:
Without connecting your phone, open iTunes, go to Preferences, on the Devices tab check "Prevent...from syncing automatically"
Connect your phone, right-click on the name of your phone when it appears on the left sidebar in iTunes
Select Restore from backup, choosing your most recent backup to restore from
Disconnect your phone and confirm that your photos are back
Go back to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and re-enable automatic syncing. -

Did you create these notes in the iPad notes App ... I assume?
This support article will explain how you can restore from a backup - which is what you have to do in order to have any chance of recovering your note.
How to backup and restore from a backup

But you have to remember, that you will lose any of the notes that you have taken since the date of the last backup. If you synced your iPad last week, then you will lose a whole week of current notes - or whatever notes you have created since your last backup. When you restore from a backup - you restore everything in that backup onto the iPad - that was on the iPad on the time and date of the backup.
If you backup every day, then all of your notes should be recoverable from the backup - except for any notes that you took since you last backed up. There is no foolproof way to recover everything once you start taking more notes or creating new documents or whatever that you do in an app unless you are syncing those notes with iCloud and backing up all of the time or unless the app is set to sync with iCloud as you work on the files - like in Pages, Numbers or Keynote - Apple's iWorks apps.
If you decide to restore from an iTunes backup you should turn off at sync before you try restoring because iTunes will want to backup your iPad right away when you plug it in and you will lose your old or last backup. -

Copying the program over to a new machine will not work. Install it using installation files and activate it using the serial number assigned to the license.

Trying to install CS5.5 web premium on a new Windows 8 computer
I am trying to install CS5.5 web premium on a new Windows 8 computer. I had installed it before but Illustrator would not run. I tried reinstalling just Illustrator that did not work. So I uninstalled the whole suite, and planned to reinstall the whole thing. But I get "Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem." So I download ASA, and try to run the .exe and nothing happens.

I am trying to install the new OS on my new iPad 2, but it keeps saying "Network Connection Timed Out". I had no problems updating my iPhone through the same computer system though. Any ideas?

After you have downloaded the update, attach your iPad to your computer, open iTunes and select your iPad in the devices list. Press & hold the Option/Alt key and click the Check for Update button. Browse to where you downloaded the update and Choose it. iTunes will handle the rest. -

Hey, I've tried to install the new iOS 7.1 but it says that the installation cannot be completed and doesn't say why. I have more than 50% battery left but it still doesn't work, help?
It probably means you don't have enough available storage on your phone. It takes space to store the download - THEN unpack it. Best method is to use a computer with iTunes (This allows you to back up on your computer as well).
PLEASE: Do not purchase iCloud storage space - this will not give you more room for the iOS 7.1 installation. -
was asked to update itunes last week and since then itunes won't open, un-installed it and followed the necessary steps then tryed to install it from scratch but still no luck. It says it has been successfully installed, but no sign of it on my computer.

Alright, I've had this problem for a while now, and I'm at my wit's end. Hope someone can help me.
First of all, I'm running Windows 8.0 on a Lenovo, using iTunes 11.1.5, and an iPhone on iOS 7.0.6.
Problem is, when I plug my iPhone 5 into my computer, the computer recognizes the iPhone, but for some reason, iTunes doesn't realize it's there. On top of that, every time I plug in, my phone gives me the same "Trust this computer?" prompt, like it doesnt recognize the computer I told it to trust 5 seconds ago. A couple times, I got lucky and iTunes dignified me with a "An iPhone has been detected, but could not be identified properly." prompt. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the mobile device driver, updating everything, uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes, resetting my iphone settings, but nothing works. When I plug my iphone 4s into the usb in my car, text and notifications sounds are gone. The phone only vibrates, no sound. The ringer works fine, and the music plays through the stereo system just fine. When I try to turn up the volume, the ringer shows on the screen, but it will not increase in volume. When I unplug the usb, everything works fine. I have tried different cords and different cars, all with the same result. This only happens in the car, when hooked up to the usb in the house or to the computer, everything works fine. When plugged into the car, the sound disappears. Any ideas?

I was researching the issue you are describing and had a recommendation. The device is very simple, so the software troubleshooting for it is pretty limitted so I think you shoud restore the iPod shuffle and re sync the content. Before Starting
It is important to understand the difference between "update" and "restore." Update does not affect your settings or songs, it simply installs updated software that controls iPod shuffle. Restore erases the disk and restores iPod shuffle to its original factory condition with updated software. If you only need to update iPod shuffle, this should be done on the computer where music is normally synced. Updating on another computer will result in all songs being removed from iPod shuffle.
Warning: Because Restore erases all songs and files on iPod shuffle, make sure to back up any files you've saved on iPod shuffle. Your songs, podcasts, and audiobooks can be synced back to your iPod shuffle if the items are part of your iTunes library.
How to restore iPod shuffle
Ensure that you have an active Internet connection as new versions of iTunes and iPod Software may need to be downloaded to your computer.
Download and install the latest version of iTunes if you do not already have it installed.
Open iTunes, and then connect iPod shuffle to your computer.
After a few moments, iPod shuffle will appear in the Devices section on the left side of the Tunes window.
Select iPod shuffle under Devices and you will see information about it appear in the main iTunes window under the Summary tab/button for iPod shuffle (3rd and 4th generation) or the Settings tab/button for iPod shuffle (1st or 2nd generation).
The Version section tells you whether iPod shuffle is up to date or needs a newer version of the software.
Click the Restore button. You will be presented with one or more restore options that may prompt iTunes to automatically download the latest iPod Software. The 4-possible restore options are:
Restore Option 1: Restore - Restores with same iPod Software version already on iPod.
Restore Option 2: Use Same Version - Restores with same iPod Software version already on iPod even though a newer version is available.
Restore Option 3: Use Newest Version - Restores with the latest iPod Software currently on your computer.
Restore Option 4: Restore and Update - Restores after downloading the latest iPod Software on your computer.
If you are using a Mac, a message will appear prompting you to enter an administrator’s name and password.
A progress indicator will appear on the computer screen indicating that the restore process has started. Do not disconnect iPod shuffle during the restore process.
After the restore process is complete, the iPod shuffle's status light will flash orange continuously. The iPod Setup Assistant window will appear asking you to name your iPod and choose your syncing preferences as you did when you connected your iPod shuffle for the first time.
When you come to step 7, I recommend Restore Option 4.
