  • Skype trying to install a javascript file

    So I updated the the latest version of Skype and now I keep getting a pop up from Skype trying to install a javascript files from a company called imrworldwide who uses this to track your web browsing activities, builds a profile of you over time and sells your info to marketing and advertisers. At first I thought this was coming from my browser until I looked on my task bar and seen the Skype logo next to the window that popped up. Why is Skype trying to install this invasion of privacy file from this company?

    Hi I'm having the same issue.. have twice had to cancel a window prompting me to install.. different details but same sort of thing (see attached. ) Very worrying but I find weirdly little when I google the problem.. At around the same time, a colleague got an emoticon message at 430 in the morning supposedly from me which I also can't explain and I wonder if my account has somehow been hacked??  Did you have any luck working out what it was?

    Try on a different computer. If you get this error again, go to an Apple store or call AppleCare. I've only seen this error once, & I was unable to solve it. Took the phone to the genius bar & they replaced the phone.

  • Send To Handheld keeps trying to install an invalid file.

    I made the mistake of trying to use Send To Handheld to install a .wmv file. It gave me an error message saying that I don't have an application that is compatible with this file on my Palm. OK. I can't install that file on my Palm. However, it keep trying to install this file every time I sync my Palm. I have deleted the file from my computer and Send To Handheld still keeps trying to install the file. Each time I get the same error message. So, how do I get Send To Handheld to stop trying to install that file?
    Post relates to: Tungsten E2

    Unfortunately, no, I have not found a solution to this problem other than to make sure that the SD memory card is not in the memory slot when I sync. The installer is trying to install to that. So, if it is not available, it skips the attempt to install the incompatible file an syncs everything else.
    It is really annoying that I can't find some other solution. One would think that the people who wrote these programs would know that some idiot would try to install an incompatible file with them and write in protections against that and/or a way to take the incompatible file out of the installation list. Back when I had to take a computer programing class in college, that was one of the things that they emphasized, idiot proofing our programs. The lab tutors were specifically told to try to crash our programs and if they succeeded, then we had to back and fix it so that it would happen again. It seems as if the people who wrote this program did not learn this lesson, as attempting to install an incompatible file is a fairly obvious potential error that should have been addressed.

  • How to Install the CAP file on the Java Card

    Hi guys. I've already written and tested a java card applet. Now i want to put the CAP file on the card. Could anyone please tell me the procedures or direct me to where i can find the procedures on how to do this?
    Thanks

    I suggest you search this forum. That question has been answered a lot.
    1) If you are using a pure Java Card use scriptgen tool and send those commands to the card.
    2) If you are using a Java Card with Global Platform
    A) Follow the Global Platform specs and authenticate to the card with developer keyset(0x40,0x41,0x42,0x43...0x4f)
    b) Get a kit
    Since you are a beginner, I recommend you get the a kit like JCOP or one from card vendors like G&D, Gemplus, etc.

    iTunes64Setup.exe download has paused.  I hit the resume button then it the messege that it cannot continuing downloading the iTunes64Setup.exe file.
    I was thinking it was my internet.  I reset my internet and it seemed to download iTunes.  It came up, but when I click on the iTunes store button I get the following message:
    iTunes has stopped working
    A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
    Close Program button.
    That is the only option it gives me, do you know what that is about?

  • CAP file error

    Hello !!
    I'm using the command verifycap verify the integrity of a CAP file and export files. the problem is that the command returns the following error:
    Error: In class descriptor Descriptor[1]:
    Field number 1:
    Inconsistency on class reference in instance field
    I've seen the docs related to the CAP file format (Java Card 2.1.1 Virtual Machine Specification), but I havent found the solution for this problem.
    I would appreciate some help!
    Thanks, Sidney

    There was a bug in cJDK 2.1.1 converter, in descriptor
    component. It was fixed in 2.1.2. I think that you are
    trying to test 'old' cap file.
    Can this error be related to CAP file errormentioned before?
    No, it can't. The descriptor component is not
    installed on card at all. The installer found that you
    are trying to install the package with duplicate AID,
    i.e. card already contains package with this AID.Hello Alb!!
    Thank you for helping me, but I guess the problem's not what you mentioned, cause I'm using the 2.1.2 version. About the duplicate package AID error, the problem can't be an already existing package, cause I haven't downloaded the CAP file to a card yet, I'm just testing it with the jcwde and apdutool. And there's more: even so, I've changed the package AID, and the error succeeded.
    So once more, do you have any suggestion?
    Sidney

  • Verify user pin on a smart card & load a cap file on a card (with eclipse)

    I have been able install JCWDE (Java card development Kit) successfully on eclipse.Basically all I need to do is verify user pin on a smart card.As in first set a pin and then verify it.
    To begin with I have referred many tutorials (here: http://www.javaworld.com/jw-07-1999/jw-07-javacard.html?page=1) and implemented the wallet code in eclipse.I have the cap file generated and the scripts generated.I am not sure how to load it on the smart card with eclipse.
    I tried to deploy the cap file but it keeps saying connected.Also when we initiate the applet I get the same result.
    output:
    Java Card 2.2.2 APDU Tool, Version 1.3
    Copyright 2005 Sun Microsystems, Inc. All rights reserved. Use is subject to license terms.
    Opening connection to localhost on port 9032.
    Connected.
    I have also tried : http://www.cs.ru.nl/E.Poll/hw/practical.html ........ but no luck.
    I have the wallet.cap ,wallet.exp ,wallet.jca ,wallet.opt create.script, select,cap-download.scripts files already generated in eclipse.
    How does a successfully implemented applet code on a smart card work?How does this wallet code work if it is successfully implemented ? Does it have like some GUI which prompts the user to enter the pin?

    Hi,
    Thanks a lot for reply.But I am not sure as to how can I delete the simulator.
    All I want to do is write a pin on the smart card and verify it.But I am not being able to deploy the cap file or initiate the applet.
    Also for passing the pin correct me if I am wrong........ according to what you said and what I have understood
    If the code is like this :
    public static void install(byte[] bArray, short bOffset, byte bLength) {
    // create a Wallet applet instance
    new Wallet(bArray, bOffset, bLength);
    } // end of install method
    byte aLen = bArray[bOffset]; // applet data length
    // The installation parameters contain the PIN
    // initialization value
    pin.update(bArray, (short)(bOffset+1), aLen);
    Lets say my pin is : 1234
    then I would pass it here.....
    new Wallet(bArray, 1234, bLength);

    It seems there is a variable of type "long" in your applet. The "long" type is not supported by Java Card, so you should remove all variables with type "long".
    Otherwise, without the source code, it is difficult to help you find out what's wrong.

  • JavaCard .cap file generation throws IllegalArgumentException

    Hi all,
    I'm trying to generate a .cap file for some applet source provided externally, and capgen/converter are throwing an IllegalArgumentException when I attempt to generate a .cap (either straight from .opt or using capgen on a pre-generated .jca file). I'm able to generate/run the .cap file from JCOP tools for eclipse, so I'm able to verify it's authenticity.
    The output I'm getting is pretty basic even in verbose mode:
    C:\projects\MWallet\src>converter -config .\com\schip_select\schip.opt

    The opt file I've got should be fairly un-offensive:
    -out CAP
    -exportpath "c:\JavaCardDevelopment\api_export_files;C:\gp211;.\"
    -debug
    -i
    -v
    -noverify
    -applet 0xA0:0x00:0x00:0x00:0x04:0x10:0x10 com.schip_select.schip
    com.schip_select
    0xA0:0x00:0x00:0x00:0x04:0x10 1.0
    I've tried with or without the -noverify flag.
    I'm using Java JDK Standard Edition (build 1.4.1_07-b02) to run the converter, and compile the source files. And I've tried the converter in the Sun Java Card Development kit 2.2.1 and 2.2.2. I've also tried attaching the jdb.exe to converter to see whats going on, I can see that it fails in a function:
    com.sun.javacard.jcasm.cap.ReferenceLocationComponent.addTwoByteOffset()
    But can't get anymore information than that. Any pointers to what could be causing this (I frankly don't know where to start) would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    James

    6A80 is the error which says that there is mismatch between jc version of card and java version.
    For Javacard 2.2.1 java version is jdk.1.4.1
    But lets not focus on that
    I tried to recreate the problem. You were using GP classes to create a cap file so I downloaded GP exp files from
    [http://www.globalplatform.org/specificationform2.asp|http://www.globalplatform.org/specificationform2.asp].
    Compiled files as
    javac -g -classpath .\classes;..\lib\api.jar;..\lib\installer.jar;libs/gp211.jar;libs/jc221.jar {PACKAGE_DIR}\*.javaMy opt file is as
    -out EXP JCA CAP
    -exportpath C:\java_card2.2.1\java_card_kit-2_2_1\api_export_files;C:\GP211\GP_exportA00000015100
    -applet <APPLET_AID> <Applet_DIR>
    <PACKAGE>
    <PACKAGE_AID> 1.0and called converter command as
    converter -config {PATH_TO_EXPORT_FILE}\HelloWorld.optI was able to create the CAP file successfully.

  • Analyze netmon .cap file with logparser

    Hi all,
    I'm trying to analyze a cap file with logparser. I'm exporting all the content of the file to a CSVfile. But when I open the CSV file, it doesn't shows source IP and destination IP for any of the packets. Whereas if I open the file with network monitor,
    it does shows all the information. I'm using below mentioned query to export the data to CSV.
    logparser -i:netmon "SELECT * INTO test.csv FROM test.cap"

    Per
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/ambhrin/archive/2012/05/08/working-with-netmon-amp-wireshark-traces.aspx,
    "Known issues on Windows 7
    If you are trying to parse the Netmon trace File through Logparser, the SrcIP and the DstIP fields might appear to be blank. This is a known issue with Win 7. However parsing should work just fine on a XP or a Win 8 machine."

  • How to install a PFX file?

    I'm trying to install a PFX file onto a Cisco 1941 but cannot find instructions for this. I've found similar instructions but these are for ASA's and seem to only give instructions of doing it via the wenb interface.
    Can anyone point me in the right direction?
    Thanks
    Andrew

    Hello,
    As you mentioned some users in your organisation are facing this issue, is there any user profile difference between the working and non working ones? Also do you face the same issue with the admin accounts as well?
    Try to upgrade the Reader to the latest version, see if that helps.
