Trying to install a GeForce 7300 GT but nothing!
Hello Guys,
Just added a GeForce 7300 GT to Slot #2 on a Quad G5 equip. w/ a Geforce 6600 in slot #1. The 7300 does not crank up. HELP!
Are you trying to go for a faster card or are you installing a second card because you need to hook up more than two monitors?
If it's a faster card you're looking for, ATi's X1900 G5 Edition is pretty much your only option. Just like with the 7300GT, you'd need to make sure you get the G5 Edition and not the X1900XT, which is a Mac Pro only card.
If you just need more monitors, you can purchase additional 6600s.

Could you provide the exact wording and punctuation of the message, and try Googling that yourself -- when you google leave out unimportant words and punctuations, group words that are still together as in original message within quotes or with hyphens so that google will look for those words together in that order. -

I'm trying to install windows 8 on mac, but after partitioning and restarting, it stucks on blue logo and i waited 20 minutes but nothing happened, what can i do, please help.
I think there's some remmants left over from when Apple transferred stuff over. We can try a quick fix, but if that doesn't work, I think the only option is to clean install OSX and then install Windows.
open disk utility, confirm that you only have 1 partition (mac journaled)
restart and PRAM reset
open disk utility and repair permissions twice
restart boot camp assistant
Does it work?
If not, I would boot holding command+R, choose disk utility from the menu and completely erase your HD (formatting it as mac journaled again). Then, install OSX on this HD. Once OSX is installed, don't copy your files over from the backup yet. Instead, start boot camp assistant and see if you can get Windows installed. You can copy back your other files after we get Windows installed. -

Followed the instructions on the forum by using the CC Cleaner App for OSX. Have restarted a number of times and even tried using disk utility to fix any permission probs. Still no luck.

I have tried to install and run Captivate 4 but it tell me I have this product installed on 2 other computers. I do not have this installed on any other computers.
How do I solve this issue so I can use the Captivate software?- You can only sync with one iTune library but you can manually music music and vides with different computers. To do so go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device>Set up Syncing>Sync your device manually and follow the instructions.

by "repair" I mean I went to the control panel, option - programs and features, and in the list of all my installed programs I selected "Apple Software Update". On top of the screen you find the options Uinstall, Change and Repair. I clicked the repair button and that did the trick. After the repair I could uninstall the program. I also uninstalled iTunes, Apple Application Support, Apple Mobile Device Support en Bonjour, thus all Apple programs. Then I installed iTunes 10.5 again and everything went fine.

Hannahdb1 what specific Adobe applications are you attempting to reinstall? Do you receive any specific error messages? Finally what version of Mac OS are you using?

Go to the Windows Control Panel and select Boot Camp applet. In that applet there is a Boot Drive option. Select Mac OS X.
Or restart the system and hold down the Option key for a few second. A Boot Menu screen will come up. Select Macintosh HD.
Once in OS X go to the Sys Prefences, Startup Disk and select Macintosh HD Mt Lion 10.8.2 and click Restart then Restart again. the system will now restart in Mac OS X.
To boot back to Windows do the same, Startup Disk, and select Windows then Restart and Restart again. -
I have a white Macbook 2009 on OSX Lion. It came with the OSX Snow Leopard CD, I erased the HDD and am trying to install the OSX from disc but am getting "cannot install OSX from disc" message. What can I do?

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if Apple Application Support won't install normally. You could try this approach first.
