Trying to install Acrobat on a Vista laptop, but can't find the installation icon in the Adobe Application Manager

Hi, trying to get Acrobat installed on my Vista laptop but can't seem to find an icon for it in the Adobe Application manager. I have a CC license and it installs fine on my Win7 but can't seem to figure out how to install it on my Vista laptop. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Normally if something does not appear in the download options it means the machine does not meet the tech specs for the product. In this case, Vista is not in the tech specs for Acrobat Pro XI if that is what you are trying to install. For whatever reason it skips from XP to Windows 7.

Adobe Reader and Acrobat support for Vista started with the update patch for release 8 in early 2007.
Adobe states:

If you are using a Mac, simply hit Command-Spacebar to bring up Spotlight Search. Begin typing the name of the application and when you see what you are looking for, press enter. You should get a hit by the second or third letter you type. Great way to launch apps on computers that you are not familiar with.
Windows 7 and 8 should have something similar. I think you simply press the Windows key and begin typing. Press enter when you see a match.
Both Mac and Windows search tools can be customized to search for applications, files, emails and so forth. For Windows, look for Taskbar and Start Menu Properties. For Mac, go to Preferences Spotlight. Turn off items you know you won't need to speed up searches.

there is a lot of info at that link. by checking that link you'll see that serial number only works for the exact product for which it was purchased.
ie, if you purchase acrobat 9 std, you need to use acrobat 9 std installation files, not acrobat 9 pro.

Trying to install AirPort Utility on Vista laptop, get error code 2318

Error code pops up during installation saying

So I have copied the dns_sd.jar file in the C:\Program Files\ folder (found in a Bonjour folder) and relaunched the installation. Then miracle! It worked. So as weird as your experience!

Solved: Installed Xcode 4... But Can't Find It.

So I bought Xcode 4 from the App Store. I always thought Xcode was free, but Apple charge for it now. So once it finally downloaded, I tried installing. The installer got stuck at 98% (as it does for many people). I used the trick mentioned in another thread where you look at the package contents and find the installer file in there ("Contents" > "Resoures" > "Xcode and iOS SDK.mpkg") and install it that way. That worked, however, I can't find the SDK or Xcode applications anywhere on my Mac. Spotlight returns nothing.
Any ideas?
EDIT: Nevermind, found it in the "Developer" folder. I thought it'd be stored in the applications folder. Not sure why Spotlight didn't pick it up.

It's installed in another 'Applications' folder as you found out, which makes for fun until you're comfortable with the process, etc.
Would be easier if they didn't do that as part of the install, but hey...at least it works.
And don't be tempted to move Xcode to another folder...leave the content of /Developer as-is.
Spotlight may not have had time to index the new files, BTW.

You are going to need both serial numbers if you want to install Lightroom 5, because it is an upgrade and bolts serial numbers are required. If you registered Lightroom 5 with Adobe when you first installed it then you can find your serial number on your Adobe account.

That is correct Steelgrrl you will want to locate your installation media and copy the installation files to a USB drive on a computer which does have an optical drive.
Alternately if you purchased from Adobe directly and choose the download option at the time of purchase then the download will be available under your account. You can find more details at Find a download link on Adobe.com.
