How do i install acrobat x on 2nd computer at home. i find it on my adobe but there is no download.

Do you still have the downloaded installer on your original computer? If so, transfer it from there.
If not, try downloading the installer from http://technolux.blogspot.jp/2011/02/adobe-direct-download-links-less-akamai.html
You must follow the download instructions some two pages down from the top; otherwise you won't be able to get your download. The download links start some further two pages down.

Unable to install CS4 on a 2nd computer.

Seeking help installing CS4 on a 2nd computer. I have CS4 on my desktop iMac (using OSX 10.7.5) and since I recently bought a MacBook Pro (using 10.8.3), I wanted to install it on there as well. The only problem is that the MacBook Pro does not have a CD player. To get around that, I put the CD contents on a USB Key. I attempted to load CS4 on the MacBook Pro using the USB Key, but right off the bat it gave me an error when I double-clicked the SETUP folder: "SETUP ERROR - Setup has encountered an error and cannot continue. Contact Adobe Customer Support for assistance." I tried this several times but got the same message. I called Adobe however they were unable to help since it is an old version - they suggested I post the question here and see if someone can help. The Adobe Rep did say that perhaps the Setup file was corrupted, but did not offer any further information beyond that.

I did just what you recommended and it worked perfectly!
For anyone else reading this with the same problem, here is how I did it:
I copied the entire Photoshop CS4 to a USB Key
plugged that in to my MacBook Pro
made a New Folder on the Desktop of the MacBook
copied all the items from the USB Key to the New Folder
dropped the New Folder into the Macintosh HD on the MacBook
then went to the Photoshop CS4 folder on the Macintosh HD
double-clicked on the SETUP folder, and voila - it worked!
Once I entered the serial number, the program downloaded and the only hitches were that it did not have the latest Adobe AIR version, so I had to go to the Adobe site and download a new version of that at www.adobe.com/go/getair
I am so thankful - Adobe would not work with me since I had the older version of CS4, so I was faced with buying a new version of Photoshop, not being able to use it on my laptop, and possibly buying Aperture instead - none of which I really wanted to do. I don't know if you've already resolved your problem, but I had the same thing, it took me 6 hours to fix it. I had the exact same as you, installed the update and then it went to a white screen. After trying start up holding down cmmd r or holding down the alt key to try to install it again, nothing worked, same result every time. Then an angel came to me here somewhere but I can't find it now to thank him. Start in safe mode, press shift once you hear the start up chime and hold it down until you hear it again. Installation completion box came up and it was working. turn off computer and start up again normally and all is well. Except my final cut pro x doesn't work with it, have to update that now too. same as when I updated to mavericks.

It does not seem likely that CS6 was upgraded from version 10. You might want to check your purchase history in your Adobe account to see if there is some missing link in the chain of purchases you made.
You can always try contacting Adobe support thru chat to see if they can find information or otherwise assist you in this matter.

If you have not been able to install iTunes because the Windows Installer service is not available, I would recommend the troubleshooting in the following troubleshooting to help.
Issues installing iTunes for Windows
These in particular:
Make sure you have an administrator account.

Nothing in the Acrobat 8.x product family is compatible with Windows 7 (or any contemporary OS).
The Acrobat 8.x product family passed into End of Support way back -- (November 2011).
The current release of Acrobat (XI) is compatible in Windows 7.

when you were install your cs3 you should have been prompted for you serial number. were you?
if not, you probably didn't properly install cs3. copying/migrating/moving etc is problematic.
if yes, did you see any error messages during installation?
if yes, attach a screenshot of the error message.
if not, check you install logs, Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6, CC
