Trying to install Adobe CS 5.5
I searched the forum for an answer but didn't have any luck. Perhaps I'll get find an answer here.
Bought Adobe CS 5.5 Master Collection (full) from a friend who said it was number 5 of 5 of his multi license product. Disks (3) are NOT copies and are in original case.
Loaded disk #1, entered SN from back of dvd case, entered my Adobe.com username and password, install worked fine. The first time I opened an app it said 30 days remaining. All programs worked fine up until a few weeks ago. Now I am prompted with "Trial period expired" even though it was not installed as a "Trial".
Uninstalled, used the "cleaner" program from Adobe. Re-installed with same results.
Did an online chat with Adobe customer support and was told my SN was invalid. How can it be invalid when it was accepted on installation?
Anyone got ideas?

Umm, let's make it short:
Bought Adobe CS 5.5 Master Collection (full) from a friend who said it was number 5 of 5 of his multi license product.
You are not owning a legal license. It's part of a volume license/ site license and not supposed to be sold separately. That aside, any transfer of any software requires a proper license transfer, but with that kind of licenses it's not possible. And it never serialized in the first place. As to why it is doing this, is another matter, but my working theory is that the serials cannot be vlaidated because - tada - they belong to the Adobe ID of your friend. So in the interest of galactic peace and your friendship, give him back his software and in return take back your money.

I fear that you are trying to download OLDER Software on a newer Operating Sysytem Meaning that you need to Install the Latest Version of Adobe on the Newer Operating System for it to work Properly. Be sure to always check the minimum System Requirements.

Trying to install Adobe Photoshop elements 8 (that I bought a while ago and never installed) on my MacBook Pro, Intel Core 2 Duo, OS 10.6.8.
When I insert the PS Elements Disk, a PSE page came up with Read me etc which I read. I clicked on the blue PSE folder and a window with Bootstrapper.dmg came up. I clicked on that and a window opened asking me to type in my administrator passsword to allow Setp to make changes, which I did, twice... and then nothing happened...
Is there something else I am suppose to do? OH, another mounted drive appeared in Finder with a long name... "EFBB...........". When I opened it, it had an assets folder and two .js files (whatever they are)...
What more do I have to do?I think I figued it out... But why installations instructions didn't come up when I inserted the disk was very annoying. And because they didn't, Adobe should post th installations instructions somewhere on their support site. Not here now, which is also annoying.

Hey, I'm trying to install Adobe Flash on my Macbook Air. At a certain point it asks for my password but it doesn't take it. So I cannot continue installment. I have reset my password already. Still the same problem. How can I continue to install when it keeps asking for a password it doesn't recognize over and over again? How many times do I have to reset it then? Advice please
You have to provide your computer's administrator password in order to install Flash Player.

Error 2330 when trying to install adobe reader 9.1
Trying to install adobe reader 9.1 on an hp laptop (pavilion dv6936us entertainment notebook pc...to be exact). It has windows vista home premium 64-bit os. when i try to install i get error message that says "Error 2330 Error getting file attributes: c:\Program file (x86)\Adobe\Reader9.0\Reader. Get last error: 1392. Please help.
Did you look "manually" for remnants of an old Reader installation ? (you could eventually try searching the drive for files and folders named Adobe )

Trying to install Adobe Air on Windows 7. Error: Application descriptor could not be found for this application (301).
AIR isn't an application, but a runtime that other applications use. It's similar to Java. You don't run it directly, it's just something other applications need to have present so they can run. You won't see any reference to it in your Start menu, though it will appear in your Uninstall control panel. The applications that use AIR (like Tweetdeck, BBC iPlayer, etc) will have links in your program list.

I'm trying to install Adobe PS CS3 for my boss on an other computer. I put the Program on a hard disc and copied it to the other computer now it won't open and says it needs the license. What can I do to make it work on this computer?
Copying the program over to a new machine will not work. Install it using installation files and activate it using the serial number assigned to the license.

I am trying to install Adobe Reader my wife's laptop but "installer" hangs up and fails with a blank black screen. The machine is capable and has a Vista OS. My wife blames the machine and wants to "throw it out." She's an idiot but I need to get this fixed.
run the cleaner (Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs) and then retry installing.

question: Trying to install Adobe Premiere elements 12. When it gets to "Installing required Shared Technologies" stage it gives errror "Setup has detected that Adobe Bridge CS5 (Bridge.exe) is currently in use. Please close all running exe(s). Nothing is running when trying to install this, have been through this process several times. Found undertroubleshooting to delete files PDAppFlex.swf and PDAppFlex-app.xml and have done that as well. Any help will be greatly appreciated

Error 1310 on trying to install Adobe Acrobat X Pro. Software will not install.
In trying to install Adobe Acrobat X Pro from either a purchased DVD or from an Adobe download I get an Error message: Error 1310 and the installation will nor proceed. It asks to verify access to C:\Program Data\Adobe\ Adobe PDF\Distiller\Startup\example.ps. This complete directory is present in my C:\ drive. How do I verify this access and what must be done to successfully install Acrobat X Pro?

I am trying to install Adobe Creative Suite CS2 and I am at the last stage of installation but the pop up window is asking that I insert CD #2 but, of course, there is no cd! I tried clicking okay and double clicking the image for CD #2 or file #2 but nothing works - Help!

Hi there. I'm having the same issue, and it appears a few others in the forums are as well. The jist of it all seems to be that when you try to install presenter from acrobat extended, a message pops up saying that powerpoint is not installed. So like me you go to Adobe support, see that there is a download for MS office 2010 powerpoint, and download it. This is the kicker though, it seems that this is a stand alone version you have just downloaded requiring its own unique seriel number, (one you have to buy) and will not activate in combination with Acrobat Pro extended in any way shape or form.
I have uninstalled, reinstalled, attempted to patch, but it will not allow me to, as presenter is not installed! Then I have tried to look at the presenter file within adobe folders, but alas its not there as I can't install it, I can't fiddlle or patch it in any way shape or form. This appears to be other peoples problem as well. Argghhhhhh!
I'm not sure of the work around for this is, hopefully they will sort it out soon, this programme is not cheap!!!!
