Trying to install adobe programs on my mac
I have paid for I have paid for a subscription for the adobe suite for all the programs and it won't let me downloa subscription for the adobe suite for all the programs and it won't let me download them. It only says download trial. Please someone help me.
Download and install the trial version, then activate it with your serial number (Creative Suite) or Adobe ID (Creative Cloud).

Thanks for the clarification on the terms. I consider myself proficent at my computer, but not exactly in its inner-workings! I have 8 GB of memory installed.
I am still confused as to why I do not have any space for the program. This is the exact error message I get: "There is not enough free space on Macintosh HD disk. The Print Shop 2 application requires about 550 MB to be installed. Free some disk space and try again."

Trying to install adobe flash player onto mac using internet explorer 5.2 for mac. But the page that I need keeps telling me that Adobe Flash Player still needs to be installed. I've downloaded AFP several times, and I see it installed correctly on my mac, but the same error message keeps coming up. All of the support that I see is either for mac or for Internet Explorer, but not for both and not for the version of Internet Explorer that I am using. Please help. Thank you.
Wow, IE for Mac is pretty old. What Mac OS are you using? I'm 99% sure you're going to need an older version of the Player, but I'll need to know the OS version to figure out which one.

Installations stops when trying to install Adobe Acrobat XI on Mac OS 10.8.4
I kept getting this message that Adobe Acrobat was not able to update the software and so I decided I would just update my software from Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 for mac to vs 11. I called tech support and they told me to uninstall acrobat 9 Pro completely first, which I did. Now, I have downloaded version 11 and tried installing this via the trial (wanted to make sure it worked) and as it goes through the install process, it gets hung up with one minute to go trying to rewrite script files. It stays like this for enternity. If you right click on installer to force quit the install, it won't let you. If you go to the apple sign and force quit it from the menu, it will kill the installer. However, the computer won't shut down because it still thinks it is installing software. So the only way to kill it is to do a hard reset. I called tech support and was on hold for for 40 minutes and then the tech tried for an hour to fix this. This included deleting the uninstall program for Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and also reinstalling the software from a fresh download that he sent me. I still had the same result.
To make matters worse, I only have Acrobat Pro v 8 on disc (there was a free vs 9 upgrade that was online that I got) and as a result, I don't have version 9 to install back onto the computer. The tech was going to try to send me a link to download version 9 but he wasn't sure he could do it. Someone was going to get back to me, but no one has yet. So now, not only do I not have version 11, I don't even have my old version 9!!!! My only option is to go back to version 8 which I have the disk for. This is ridiculous. So if anyone out there has some suggestions on how I can get version 11 to install, that would be great. I am running Mac OS X 10.8.4 on a 13" Macbook Pro with Retina. I purchased a program from a trusted website and was able to download it....however when I try to install it I get an "Apple Run Script Error"....the support team for the web site thinks it is Automator....so not sure how to get around this....anyone out there can help? Would be greatly appreciated.
Well there's not enough info to even guess beyond what I previously posted.
My only "judgement" here is that whatever program you are using has questionable tech support if all they say is "it's Automator" and offer no further assistance as to why their program doesn't work on your machine and aren't even curious. -

You run Windows in Parallels or Fusion. Then in Windows you install the program.

I'm trying to install Adobe PS CS3 for my boss on an other computer. I put the Program on a hard disc and copied it to the other computer now it won't open and says it needs the license. What can I do to make it work on this computer?
Copying the program over to a new machine will not work. Install it using installation files and activate it using the serial number assigned to the license.

The Plugin Process is an app that runs alongside Firefox and Safari when they're open. Lately Firefox's plugin process has been "hanging" on my Mini. I'll close the app but it keeps running and using RAM for several minutes.

Trying to install Adobe Photoshop elements 8 (that I bought a while ago and never installed) on my MacBook Pro, Intel Core 2 Duo, OS 10.6.8.
When I insert the PS Elements Disk, a PSE page came up with Read me etc which I read. I clicked on the blue PSE folder and a window with Bootstrapper.dmg came up. I clicked on that and a window opened asking me to type in my administrator passsword to allow Setp to make changes, which I did, twice... and then nothing happened...
Is there something else I am suppose to do? OH, another mounted drive appeared in Finder with a long name... "EFBB...........". When I opened it, it had an assets folder and two .js files (whatever they are)...
What more do I have to do?I think I figued it out... But why installations instructions didn't come up when I inserted the disk was very annoying. And because they didn't, Adobe should post th installations instructions somewhere on their support site. Not here now, which is also annoying.

I have exactly the same problem on one of my Macs (MBP 15 Mid-2010 / OS X Yosemite): Both reader and Acrobat Pro download without a hitch. Both also install with no problem.
But once you click the program to open, they both return "an internal error occurred".
I tried downloading three separate copies, and still get the same error message when I install and launch. I've also uninstalled the previous installations via CleanMyMac2 to make sure it's no longer in the SSD. Same results.
Am using a new SSD as internal boot drive, with fresh / clean installation of OS X and Apps (previous internal HDD crashed) -- And am seeing errors not only with Acrobat, but also with LR5 which always comes up with a "An error occurred when attempting to change modules" -- inspite or uninstall, download and reinstall. Not sure if it's a registry issue? (Not even sure if that's the case with OS X).
Do I need to reformat the whole SSD? I hope not!

To answer your questions, you cannot install Illustrator 8 on iMac 2009 since that old version was made for the old Mac OS 8-9 systems. Intel Macs run OS X 10.5 and higher. The last version of OS X was 10.4 that supported those programs that ran in the "Classic" system emulator on the PowerPC processor Macs. Since the Intel processor Macs came out, OS 8-9 "Classic" system programs were not supported and "Classic" is not and will not be made available to run old programs.You can get the SheepSaver emulator that will run under OS X 10.5 Leopard and run your "Classic" program but I have not used it and it would be a bit flaky in the stability area, from my understanding.
So in essence you have to upgrade.
Now, since Adobe doesn't have the liberal upgrade policies like in the past, you can't directly upgrade to Illustrator CS4 from 8.0. You need CS1 to be eligible to upgrade. In that case, you will have to get a copy of Illustrator CS1 Upgrade from a 3rd party, like on eBay or Lemswap Group on Google. Then you can register that and get on the upgrade path to CS4 Upgrade. Adobe is very good at allowing you to do this. I can explain further how to purchase software on eBay, I've done it for years safely and upgraded that way and saved lots of money as long as you take precautions while doing it.
Or bite the bullet and get CS4 non-upgrade.
