Trying to install an Application

I hope this is the right forum for this question
I am trying to install a VB2010 application on a local windows 7 32 bit machine  and I get the following message
system update required
Unable to install or run the application. The application requires that assembly Crystaldecisions.reportAppserver.CommonobjectMode 1 version 13.0.2000.0 be installed in the global assembly cache (Gac) first.
Can someone point me to where i can go and get the  executable (not a merge file)that i can put on the local machine.
Thanks ,
jim

You need the CRVS2010 runtime on that computer:
MSM
http://downloads.businessobjects.com/akdlm/cr4vs2010/CRforVS_mergemodules_13_0_1.zip
MSI 32 bit
http://downloads.businessobjects.com/akdlm/cr4vs2010/CRforVS_redist_install_32bit_13_0_1.zip
MSI is better as it includes all CR dependencies.

You should only make purchases for all your devices using a single Apple ID.  There is no need, and indeed a good reason not to, set up a new Apple ID with each new device purchase.  While items purchased under different IDs can be played on a single device, you cannot merge Apple IDs and it makes it cumbersome.
Apple IDs do not expire but may become dormant and require reactivation if they are not actively used.
You should make note of your Apple ID and passwords and keep a record of it.  Like a bank account it contains access to items with value.  Update your Apple ID email address as they change.
I see you were guided to this forum by a help page on recovering your password.  If that is not sufficient try the links below.  Apple will need to verify you are indeed to owner of the accounts to which you are trying to gain access.

  • Strange solution to "Something went wrong trying to install this application."

Basically the solution was to install
    AIR
Beta 3 then install the AIR 1.0, copy "Adobe AIR Application
Installer.exe", "Adobe AIR Application Installer.swf", and "Adobe
    AIR.dll" from the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe
AIR\Versions\1.0 directory into the AIR beta 3 directory which I
    think was "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe AIR\Versions\1.0.6".
Then, I associated the .air file with the "airappinstaller.exe"
executable located in the AIR beta 3 directory. Amazingly, doing
this allowed me to install the AIR application without any
    problems.
The problem this addresses is getting the message "Something

to install an AIR application. The exact error message is below. I
assumed that I was having problems because I had installed an AIR
beta in the past. I'm not for sure on that though. The AIR
installer log seemed normal. At least there were not any error

not output any data for me. I followed the instructions from

  • Adobe Air on Mac: "Something Went Wrong Trying to Install This Application" Error

I have been reading several posts on this, but nowhere can I find a solution.  Within the past few weeks, I receive this error any time I try to install a new AIR application:
"Something Went Wrong Trying to Install This Application.  Please install the latest version of AIR from.."
Then it gives me the download link.  I've tried reinstalling, but that doesn't fixt the issue.  I'm using OS X 10.6.3- is there ANY way to solve this?

Hi Jason.  Can you post your install log here so we can take a look at what the problem may be?  To see the install log, Open "Console" to view logging.  Then copy and paste the log here.
In the meantime, try to uninstall AIR before reinstalling AIR to see if that fixes the problem.
    Thank you!

For anyone that comes across this. I managed to fix the problem. It had something to do with the date on my computer. Mavericks installer apparently does a date check of some sort and that is where the error is coming from. Open terminal and check the system date. It may be wrong. Another poster in the forums told me how to to check the date and change it. Click here for the link to the explanation. Be careful because the date is in a weird format.

  • HT3910 I get an unknown error when trying to install the applications disc contents

I rebooted the MacBook pro that my dad just gave me and erased all the memory that he had on it but when I try to install the applications disk again it tells me unknown error and to contact the manufacturer I don't know who that is exactly(is it a specific part of apple?) and I don't know how to contact them what do I do?

Have you tried to download anything else?

  • Trying to install an application "A newer version is already installed"

Hi, I'm trying to install some Canon utilities. Specifically I'm trying to install DPP (Digital Photo Professional) and the EOS Utilities and I get an error that says the same version is already installed or that a newer version is already installed. Now, that's all fine and dandy if it were not for the fact that these applications are NOT installed. I GREPped the System Folder, and Library folder as well as user folders looking for instances of "Digital Photo Professional", "EOS Utility", etc but nothing really shows up.
I've run the periodic scripts. I've cleared the caches in the Library, and System folders as well as individual user caches. I'm stumped. Any suggestions?
    Cheers, Joe

Go into Hard Drive->Library->Receipts and delete whatever you got that is iMovie related.

  • 2G phone hangs on trying to install an application

    Hi.
We know that the primary program in charge of controlling the applications sent to iPhone from the mac is a program located at Your iPhone/Developer/usr/bin/debugserver. It is invoked by Xcode and remains running for the life of the application being installed on the iPhone.
For some reason when I try to install my application on a 2G device it just hangs. The same application works fine on a 3G device. I have seen the following cases while trying to run this app on the 2G device.
    Case 1:
The device hangs because on an attempt to start remote debugserver on the 2.2.1 device. On the Xcode console status bar I see "Starting remote debugserver with Blah.app on MyiPhone2G2.2.1" with no progress.
    Case 2:
Sometimes the remote debugserver on the device is started successfully, however, when the gdb failes to attach to the target app process, the output from the console is as follows:
    Running…
    [Switching to thread 10755]
    [Switching to thread 10755]
    warning: Invalid remote reply:
    warning: Invalid remote reply:
    Case 3:
The device simply rejects the request to run the target app and shows an error msg box - "The service is invalid. Please check your setup and try again (0xEB80000002)"
Thanks for any pointers to help me resolve this problem.

    Ask your sister.
     Cheers, Tom

  • Error trying to install existing application

    Hello,
I have exported one of my Production applications and I am getting an error when I try to install it on my Test server. I am running Application Express 3.1.2.00.02 on both boxes. The application uploads fine, but gives errors when I try to overwrite or install it. I have done this many times before without issues. Here is the error that I get:
    ORA-20001: GET_BLOCK Error. ORA-20001: Execution of the statement was unsuccessful. ORA-06550: line 14, column 47: PLS-00103: Encountered the symbol "F" when expecting one of the following: ) , * & = - + < / > at in is mod remainder not rem <an exponent (**)> <> or != or ~= >= <= <> and or like LIKE2_ LIKE4_ LIKEC_ between || multiset member SUBMULTISET_ <pre>begin wwv_flow_api.create_page_bu
I have exported the application more than once just in case the file went south on the save. I would appreciate any sugguestions. This is specific to this application. I just exported a different app and imported/installed it into Test with no issues.
    Thanks,
    Neil

    Thank you Andy,
I had searched the forum and found this post before I posted. The import works fine. I get the error when I try to install. I know that this issue is specific to this export. I scanned the sql and I thought that I had found the problem when I ran across a select statement that had the fully qualified Production schema. I removed this and exported again, but I still get the same results when I try to install.
    Thanks,
    Neil

  • Could not open key when trying to install Apple Application Support

I  can't get the apple application support to install on my coomputer it says "Could not open key: Unkown\coponents\da4bc898f25f5bd0af18c3b3b1a1ee8\0dc8c851b56a0d742add098a4295f0 8a. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel."  Can anyone help with this.  Thanks

under regedit, checked permissions on this key and "allow" "full control" are checked for the administrative profile that is logged in, so there should be access to that key.
Just doublechecking an exotic possibility. Does your SYSTEM account have full control of the key, too? (Peculiar things can happen when that loses permissions on a key.)

  • I get an error message when trying to install the applications dvd after restoring my MBPro to factory; What can I do?

It goes through all the steps but on the last one for installation, I get an error message saying it failed to install, try again (roughly).

This issue can be caused by an extension or plugin that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
    See:
    * [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]]
    * [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
    * Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
    * Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

  • When trying to install an application I get "Authenticating Installer"...

And, then it stops. Nothing happens and the program does not install. Any suggestions?

My Mountain Lion install failed for the following reason:
OS X can't be installed on the disk Macintosh HD, because a recovery system can't be created.
    The message went on:
    Visit www.apple.com/support/no-recovery to learn more.
The page is about a different failure, but I'm assuming the reason for my failure is this one:
The disk has a non-standard Boot Camp partition setup, in which further partitioning was performed after running Boot Camp Assistant, or the configuration that Boot Camp Assistant created was manually modified.
The cure involves erasing the entire HD and starting from scratch, which in my case would involve backing up both the Mac and Windows sides, setting up Boot Camp again, reinstalling Windows XP and recovering everything from backups on both sides. I would rather not have Mountain Lion than go through all that, and I think it's unfair for Apple to expect me to.
Because I don't recall doing anything off-piste when I set up Boot Camp in the first place (for a start, I'm not clever enough), I consider this episode an inadequacy in the Mountain Lion installer. As I won't be using the download, is it possible to get my money back?

Afterwards, I try to install the warcraftlogs.air application, and when I execute the program I get the following error:
Se ha producido algún error al intentar instalar esta aplicación. Instale la versión más reciente de Adobe AIR desde http://www.adobe.com/go/getair_es y vuelva a intentarlo.
Translated it should be something like this (this is not the official English message):
Some error has occurred while trying to install this application. Install the latest Adobe AIR version from http://www.adobe.com/go/getair_es and try again.
I've tried to search anything related, because I can't find that exact error message in any Adobe troubleshooting page, but everything I can find is a really old version issue, or something I've tried without success (trying to install everything running as administrator, also via cmd.exe ran as administrator, installing an older version, uninstalling and installing 100 times Adobe AIR, etc.).
I've also searched (but not asked) in Warcraft Logs forums for any solution, but I couldn't find anything related either.
    Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance and best regards! ^^
