  • How do I install a plug in? I am trying to install and it says download error.

i cannot download any plug ins. i am trying to download a plug-in that will let me record video from a web page. but any plug-in a choose says download error.

    Which plug-ins did you install?
Some of the plug-ins from the Aperture menu - plug-ins link are outdated and do not work any longer with Aperture 3.4, see Aperture 3.4 and later: Some third-party plug-ins are no longer compatible
For example, the Maperture Pro plug-in cannot longer be registered, also the link to BorderFX leads to an outdated version, try http://www.iborderfx.com/BorderFX instead.
If you install successfully, the plug-ins should be installed in the system library in the folder
/Library/Application Support/Aperture/Plug-Ins , in subfolders "Edit" or "Export".
Once installed, you access them from the Photos-menu, "Edit with Plug-In" after selecting an image in the Browser.

Hypesuh I would recommend reviewing both Error downloading Creative Cloud applications - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/error-downloading-cc-apps.html and Creative Cloud app doesn't open and hangs on spinning progress wheel - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-app-doesnt-open.html as it appears both documents are applicable towards the difficulties which you are currently facing.

    I am using a mac
I want to sign up for a subscription to adobe cc. I have recently used fully used my 30 day trial, and when I decided to purchase it, my creative cloud desktop app wouldn't let me. It kept saying I had no internet connection (I tried a few different internet connections to be sure it wasn't my internet). I then uninstalled the creative cloud, as well as all the products. For a while I kept getting error 201, and 207 when I tried downloading the cc app again.
I have now used a mac cleaner to fully remove adobe. When I tried to download it again, it downloaded fully. But when I click on the apps tab, it says 'Download Error'.
Please help!!!! I need to complete a school assignment

  • Trying to install iTunes but appears an error with Bonjour... Please HELP

Can't install iTunes because appears an error that says like, bonjour can't be found, contact customers service

"quicktime is not a valid short file name"????
That's usually related to trouble with the QuickTime.msi.
Unfortunately, these sorts of msi-related troubles have gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any QuickTime entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

  • Been trying to buy apps but no download or charge

I tried buying a few free apps on the app store about a month ago, but for some reason, I was not able to complete the purchase. The app icon jumps to the dock but no download ever starts. If I click on the "apps purchased" button, nothing gets listed.
Today, I went over the process again, except this time the app wasn't free. I tried purchasing Hype but again, the icon jumps to the dock but nothing happens from that point on.
I checked again to see if the app appears as "purchased" but seems not to be the case. I checked on my credit card account and no charge was placed on it. I repeated the process and the store acted like no purchase was ever made.
The odd thing is I can buy from iTunes without any hitch.
    What gives?
Btw my MBP is up-to-date with all software from apple including the patch released a couple of days ago. Am running 10.6.7

Install the v10.6.7 combo update.  Mac OS X v10.6.7 Update Combo
Then restart your Mac. Try the App Store.
"Address various minor Mac App Store bugs"
It's ok to use the combo update even if you are already running v10.6.7.

  • Trying to install Mavericks, but says it cant due to recovery not being installed

I have downloaded Mavericks on my wifes MAC BOOK PRO, and it wont load as it says that it cant find "recovery". I downloaded, and installed Mavericks on my 2009 MacBook without any problems.
Any help and or hints would be most welcome.

You can't do an erase/install from a Time Machine disk because it uses the very Recovery Partition on the computer that is missing.  To get this put back, requires booting externally, erasing the offending OS and running the installer from there.
I'm surprised the installer wont run because people with Snow Leopard do not have such a Recovery Partition and they can upgrade.
Here is one route and I wish it was simpler.
    1. Make sure the MBP backup on Time Machine is up-to-date.
    2. Re-partition the Time Machine disk to make a small new one of about 80Gb or so.
    3. Attach the disk to the MacBook and boot into the MacBook. Download the installer again.  (Save a copy before running it).
    4. Install Mavericks onto the new partition, without any data transfer, except to copy over the installer.
(You could just clone your MacBook using Carbon Copy Cloner, if you have it.  It would be good backup anyway)
    5. Shutdown the MacBook and move the disk to the MBP, boot into the new partition.
    6. Go to Disk Utility and erase the MBP disk. Run Verify disk.
    7. Running the installer, it will ask where to install Mavericks and you need to click to show a list of disks.  Choose the MBP and go from there.  At the point it asks to transfer data. Select the Time Machine partition and use that to get your wife's user account.
    Heck that is complicated!

  • After update trying to install apps it says it is installing then just disapears

After I installed the new update for my ipod touch it wont install any apps it acts like it is installing then it just disapears??????

I had this bug in iOS 5 for a while too. I then restored it, and had no more problems. I'd connect to iTunes and backup-restore. Good luck!
