Trying to install Aqualogic BPM Enterprise Server in a Weblogic domain.

Hi,
I'm trying to configure a AquaLogic BPM Enterprise Server on a currently working WebLogic domain. I have had a lot of problems due to that I needed to copy some AquaLogic/Fuego libraries to the domain lib folder (didn't find any doc about it) and so I could keep on going on with the installation. However, right now I'm completely stopped with an error ... I cannot find anything about it in the Bea forum and not even Google... Here you have it, I hope some of you guys can help me out!!

Two instances running in AquaLogic BPM Enterprise Server 6.0 Standalone

May i have two different instances running in AquaLogic BPM Enterprise Server 6.0 Standalone?
For example:
One instance should be the Homologation Enviroment, to make some tests.
And the second one should be the definitive Production Enviroment to publish the projects after passing from Homologation Enviroment.

By "Homologation Environment" I'm guessing you might be referring to a QA or UAT environment.
If this is the case, you'd have a separate ALBPM Engine running processes in this environment and then use ANT tasks to then publish projects into the true Production environment.
Have them on separate ALBPM Engines is the best practice.

Before going further, can we try another domain name to see what will happen?
Besides, if the issue persists, we can try installing a new child domain by using the GUI.

Getting Administrative Priviledge error when trying to install Pro on 2008 Server

We are trying to install Adobe Pro 8 and recieve the error message that you have to be an administrator, i have tried using the local admin and the domain admin account...Please advise

We have no idea about your server's configuration or any of that nor should we. That aside you will have to work out your issues yourself. You are a) trying to install an Acrobat version from the stoneage on a relatively modern OS and b) generally Adobe desktop apps are not supported on any server operating system.

Log filtering in BPM Enterprise Server

Hi ,
How can we filter logs based on different processes viewed inside the Log Viewer in the Process Administrator of Enterprise Server connected via. Weblogic?
So I want to see logs of Process A separately and Process B separately in the Log Viewer..
How can I do that?

Out of the box, ALBPM/Oracle BPM only allows for one level of logging across all projects, activities, business objects, etc. per engine. The only way to see projects separately is to ensure that log messages are standardized and consistently applied throughout all the projects. Since that tends to be a relatively difficult thing to enforce across all development teams and resources, we have created an Extended Logging Framework that enforces standardized logging for processes, activities, screenflows, and objects. It also outputs the log messages in a standard Log4j format that can be viewed and filtered through external log viewers such as LogMx. This allows the log messages to be filtered at an extremely granular level. In addition, the log level for each type of log message can be modified independently and adjusted in real time without having to restart the engine. You can check out a screencast here .

Error while trying to install AIA3.0 - Managed Server not found

I am trying to install AIA3.0 on soa suite 11g. I have installed soa suite 11g and started the weblogic server, soa_server1 and BAM server (these were 2 managed servers), also the Node manager is running.
However on the screen "Soa Server Details" : when i enter the reqd details like host, domain name, username and pwd..it is not pulling up the list of 'Managed Server' instead in the dropdown it shows that "Cannot connect to the server"
Any pointers what could be wrong here? I have tried entering the host as ip address as well as fullname

Thanks for the replies. However I tried all that was given in the link and the node manager configurations are correct and i could start the soa and bam servers.
however i am getting the same error during installation, is there any specific JDBC/database level configurations or paths that it validates during installation, is a datasource mandatory?

Changing timeout in BPM Enterprise Server

Hi,
We want to increase the timeout of all automatic activities from 60 seconds to 300 seconds.. We tried doing this by going under:-
Engines-->Name of Engine --> Execution and under retry Interval we change from 60 to 300 seconds...
We then restart the engine but the change does not take place.. The transaction still times out within 60 seconds..
Do we need to recreate the Enginer EAR after doing this? Do we need to change certain timeout settings inside Weblogic Server since we are using WLS Enterprise Server?

Yes,
Take a look at weblogic transactions. Spefic at JTA transaction timeout.
But please, before increase this XA timeout, take a look at every resource that is participating in the transaction if it's possible to extend the transaction time otherwise you will have an transaction member aborting all the transaction due to timeout. (database , jms, ...)

Trying to install Reader 9, getting Server Error

I am trying to install Reader 9, keep getting Server Error 16248.333.1752.403. Downloads the install manager, and that says network error. Running XP Pro with SP3. I have downloaded 9 on other similar systems in the network, and I have downloaded other programs to this machine.
I've run a Windows installer clean up utility. I've deleted cookies and certificates.

I have installed already Oracle SOA domain now I have to install Oracle BPM suite, How to install it with no effect on already installaton.

Hi Aamir,
Shutdown the database all the servers. Start the configuration wizard again(SOAORACLE_HOME/common/bin/config.sh) and select BPM and finish it. (SOA and BPM share the same schemas)
Start the servers. Now you can see that BPM is configured with your soa server.
To check whether everything is fine, login to AdminConsole , goto Deployments and check whether oracle.bpm.runtime(11.1.1,11.1.1) is shown as "Active"

Take a look at the logs carefully:PREPARED TO ADMIN and then ADMIN TO PREPARED. Something is not being deployed successfully to the servers while starting. What all components you have selected for this domain?

[XI 3.1] Installing BO3.1 Enterprise server in BO 6.5 Enterprise Win server

We have a BO 6.5 server where we installed an running BO 6.5 server (Web server) and repository server DB is in separate box (3 tier). We planed to upgrade BO 6.5 to BO XI 3.1. Please kindly let me know whether it is possible to install BO XI server in the same BO6.5 web server. It is possible to run both BO 6.5 server and BO XI 3.1 server in the same server box in parallel. Please kindly let me know the impacts if both of them run in parallel. OS versino is : OS Version: Windows-2000 Service Pack-4

technically thats possible but really not recommended. Two BO Versions one one Host will require a high HW base. Performance will be not the best.
If its for Test and Q&A Environment than its maybe OK - but not for production.

Getting EPMINS-01018 when trying to install FDM 64-bit server

Hi,
I'm installing FDM and get the following error at the very beginning of the install:
EPMINS-01018: Cannot install the selected component FDM Web Application....
HFM and EPMA 64-bit components cannot co-exist with 32-bit components for HSF/FDM.
I'm not sure why there's a reference to a 32-bit component, especially with hsf, since I've never installed that on that box.
Unselecting FDM Web Application allows the installation to proceed.
All other install are from the 64-bit download...
any insight is appreciated. thanks

FDM is a 32 bit web application and requires that IIS be in 32 bit mode on a Windows 2003 server.
HFM and EPMA require that IIS be in 64 bit mode, so this causes a conflict between the two products.
You would need to install FDM Web on it's own dedicated web server with IIS in 32 bit mode. I would suggest a dedicated server for FDM in this instance.
