Trying to Install Audtion 3.0 - Installer stalls

What software are you trying to install?
Adobe Audtion 3.0 (From the Download Link Tech Support Gave me for no longer supported products)
Which operating system are you using?
Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit
Was the software previously installed prior to downloading the non-activating version currently available?
Yes, Audition 2.0 was previously installed, I did a full uninstall "advanced"
What specific error messages are you receiving when trying to install?
There is no error message. The installer just stalls.
I get the message, "Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to your computer?"
I choose yes and it just stops.

Hi Mylenium,
I tried running the installer in compatibility mode and still had the same issue. (Tried service pack 2 & 3 as well)
No change.
Any other suggestions?

Office requies a MS serial number, not your Apple ID. Are you attempting to install the Office 360 pay as you go version?

  • Bought new Adobe Acrobat Pro XI tried to install but got message installer encountered an error that caused installation to fail

Bought new Adobe Acrobat Pro XI tried to install but got message installer encountered an error that caused installation to fail, can anyone help with this?  I am stuck.

    Hello Joe,
did you purchase your product from these firms like Amazon? If yes, this is not a serial number, only a code with which you can request a serial number from Adobe. Please have a look at http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html. (Start here: How did you purchase your product?)
The following part, so I just see at least, ceased to exist on my Adobe website, everything takes place in the link from above. I leave it as an info yet, it might still fit for you. For this purpose, please click your way through to your Adobe Store and find the button "Get Serial Number". Fill in the form and after a while you will get the real serial number.

  • Trying to install photoshop CS6 trial, installer initializes then dissapears

I'm trying to install the photoshop CS6 extended version trial, and when I start the installer, it opens the initializer, the bar fills, then it dissapears and nothing happens. I'm recently upgraded to windows 8.1, the trial used to work fine on windows 7.

CaseyF are you attempting to use the same trial which was installed prior to upgrading to Windows 8.1?  If so, and assuming the trial is not expired, then I would recommend reviewing your PDApp.log for the specific error causing the installer to fail to initialize.  Please see Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6, CC - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html for information on how to locate and interpret the PDApp.log.  You are welcome to post any specific errors you discover in the log to this discussion.

Which Adobe software are you trying to install?  What operating system are you using?  Did you receive any error messages?  You can also try running the Adobe Support Advisor at http://www.adobe.com/support/loganalyzer/ to automatically review your installation logs and attempt to identify your difficulties.

In regards to your installation failure you will want to review the installation logs.  You can find information on how to locate and interpret your installation logs at Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html.

  • I have windows 8, 64 bit.  I am trying to install ITunes 64 bit installer, but keep getting an error message that says a .DLL file is missing.  How can I fix this?

After installing, whenever i try to open the application, it keeps popping up that some or the other .dll file is missing.
When I install that particular .dll file and then again try to re open, it says that someother file is missing. It keeps
    coming all the time.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • I am running Aperture 3.1.2, and trying to install the updates (3.1.3, 3.2.2, 3.2.3), but after opening the .dmg image, installer says I need to have Aperture 3 installed, which I have. Any help would be appreciated.

I am running Aperture 3.1.2 and trying to install updates, but the installer cannot "see" my application and won't proceed with the installation.

Read another entry and solved the problem. I had changed the application's title to read Aperture3, instead of its orignal descriptor "Aperture." Sorry to have used the space, but thanks for the help.

  • ITunes installation stalls and won't finish

When trying to install the latest iTunes it stalls about 4 bars from the end, and I can't say what it is stalling on because the Status of the install is blank.
I have done everything to delete all of iTunes/Quicktime/Bonjour/etc and the program and Windows files and then tried again, but no luck, the installation continues to hang.
I need to get this fixed because I am getting an iPhone next week and need to be able to access iTunes, so any help is much appreciated.

The exact thing happened me last night. I was updating my iTunes software with a download from the Apple site. I tried three times and it stopped at the same place each time.
Could this have something to do with virus detection or spyware detection software? Would turning one or both off help?
    Thanks.

  • Dreamweaver CS6 installation stalls at AdobeHelp

I am having Dreamweaver CS6 installation issues:
Tried installing via Creative Cloud 5 times--and installation kept stalling.
Tried Trial version 3 times--and installation stalls at AdobeHelp -- 24%. the "minutes remaining" keeps going up from 9 minutes to 43 minutes and beyond.
Have tried closing & re-opening Adobe Application Manager, re-downloading, using Creative Suite Cleaner Tool, rebooting, etc. & same issue keeps happening.
    Any advice?
On a PC with Vista 32 Home Premium

    SOLVED.
I discovered that in Program Files/Adobe there was an old Adobe Help folder from a previous Trial install, never activated. All the folder contents had a 2011 date--so that must have have stalled the new installation.

  • Error while trying to install jwsdp1.4 on linux

I was trying to install java web service on my account. But having some problem.
i have download j2sdk-1_4_2_05-linux-i586.bin and installed in my user directory /scratch/huda/Java/j2sdk-1_4_2_05-linux-i586
Also set the JAVA_HOME , PATH And CLASSPATH variable.
Then i tried to install the Web Service installation pack using the following Command.
    /bin/sh jwsdp-1_4-unix.sh -is:javahome /scratch/huda/Java/j2sdk1.4.2_05 -is:tempdir /scratch/huda/WebService/tempo -console
But it is giving me the following errors.
    Using /scratch/huda/WebService/tempo as temporary directory...
Searching for Java(TM) 2 Platform, Standard Edition...
    Initializing InstallShield Wizard...
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: JWSDP
Can u please tell me why i am getting this error.
    regards

This is a shot out of left field but is it possible that one of your environment variables contains a " " (space) and then JWSDP?
Also did you define JWSDP_HOME ?
For example, I once had an environment variable that included something like this:
    C:\Documents and Settings\myUsername, ...
    And I would get:
"Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Documents"

  • Trying to install an Adobe program from CC (CC is on a network drive)

So I will try to explain this the best that I can.  Under our Adobe license we have enough to cover all of the computers in our facilities.  When we re-image computers it installs the basic Adobe programs that we need but some of the staff need other ones that we have access to but we install them on an as needed basis.
And this is where the problem arises.  Most of the time we install programs from the remote desktop rather than going from office to office for convenience but whether we are in the office or over remote desktop we have been noticing that the programs will not install.  We have the Creative Cloud install files on a network drive that we use for all of our other installs of Adobe programs but it seems that the ones in Creative Cloud just won't install.
To be more specific today we were trying to install InCopy and the installer would start, then it would prompt that it is going to need an update that would restart the system which we continued with, but then the progress bar would fill all the way and then the dialog box would disappear and nothing else would happen or the progress bar would go back down and then the dialogue box would go away.  I do not usually install Adobe products but a coworker of mine that has been working with this problem says that it is all across the board when it comes to install anything in the Creative Cloud folder.
They say that it might have to do something with an update needed for Adobe that it just isn't installing or one within the Windows system; although I don't think that is the case since we are trying to install on different Windows OS machines (Windows 7 32/64 bit, Windows 8 64 bit, Windows 8.1 64 bit).
So I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on the subject or if anyone had any fixes.

    Hi Jonathan,
You would need to user Adobe creative cloud packager which creates an installation package and deploy to users machines. i assume, you are installing Adobe creative cloud desktop app from a network drive which is not recommended.

  • No Destination Drive Option when trying to install OSX 10.5.6 Update

    Hi all,
I have installed OSX Leopard today (10.5) on to my G5 which seems to be working correctly.
I have since tried to update to 10.5.6 via the Software Updater (Mac OSX Update Combined) which wouldn't install.
I have since downloaded the MacOSXUpd10.5.6 from the Apple site and can't install that either.
When trying to install the latter, the installer won't allow me to select the volume to install it (the HD is showing in the window with the red stop sign and exclamation mark). When I click on it the message comes up: "You cannot install Mac OS X Update on this volume. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update."
I have tried rebooting, have shut down all applications and have turned off Time Machine etc. I'm not aware of what may be running in the background to prevent it if that is the problem.
    Would appreciate your help.
    Thanks m@
