Yes, I have the tethering plan. I was connected with USB and Bluetooth when I had the 3G.
I am can now connect with USB, I recieved a new not seen before window when I plugged in the phone with the Network window open that allowed me to click on apply an connect.

I just recently installed iWork '09 on MacBook running OSX 10.7.2 and Pages won't open .doc files.
I did a search looking for a solution in the forums and here are the actions I've taken:
1) Made sure the files were't read/write protected.
2) Restarted the computer.
3) Made sure all the program files were in the correct folder.
4) Reinstalled the program.
Pages won't read .doc files that were originally Pages files and exported as .docs
It also won't read .doc files that were created using a relatively recent version of Office.
Does anyone have any idea what's going on?
Please help.If it's a doc created with the late Office 2011, it's not really surprising.
The importer embedded in iWork application was delivered in january 2009 and didn't evolve.
For this reason, it's unaware of new features delivered with Office 2011.
Better try with LibreOffice.

The space available on it: I didn't have anything on it except what was factory default applications and they were empty. For example, no movies, no songs, no photos, and no documents.

I am trying to install Windows 7 with Bootcamp on my Macbook A1278 (OS 10.6.8) with a faulty CD drive (CDs and DVDs get stuck in it and I had to get it removed in an Apple store, so I don't want to use it anymore). I have got a licence for the product but I am only in possession of the ISO, is there any way to install it using a USB stick?
I don't have many options while launching Bootcamp, only
"Download the Windows support software for this Mac" but when I try I get a message explaining me that the download could not continue as the software is not available,
or
"I have the Mac OS X installation disc [...]" but obviously I can't use my CD drive so this is not an option. I tried it anyway and I created a Windows partition but when asked to "start the Windows installer", I can only continue by insering a CD.
I tried to use a USB stick and added the ISO on it but nothing has changed.

Turbostar > I checked the link and it seems to be relating to the first video I have seen on the subject. I tried to install Tuxera then to work with rEFIt, but I did not get any result yet (I don't know if I am doing something wrong during the USB writing process as many different ways are explained on different websites).
So far my last try was to launch Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool on VMware Fusion but it the only disk shown is A:\ Removable disk (not the name of my USB) and it is stated that the disk is being used by another program, even though it's not open on the Mac side.
Some websites are advising to write the copy of windows on a USB via a PC and then launch it on the Macbook, so I might try that in the next few days. I will keep you updated.
If anyone has another option I might not have think about, or an advice on how to efficiently create a bootable Windows setup USB with my Mac, please let me know! -
I have a mac os x 10.7.3 and am trying to install a dell v515w printer. Have tried numerous times to find driver, but mac says not compatible. I read something about using a Lexmark driver. Any suggestions???
Thanks so much,If there is no driver compatible with OX X 10.7 you might want to consider getting a different printer. It may save hair pulling and aggravation.

Trying to install USB 2.0 printer
I am trying to install an HP 1012 printer on a Gateway PC with MSI 6330 motherboard, AMD 1GHz, 128 M Ram, OS-MSWIN ME. The printer is USB 2.0 only and according to specs from G'way, this board is USB1.0 .Gateway support was not very helpful since they "didn't manufacture the motherboard" and suggested I contact MSI. I have installed a USB 2.0 PCI card ( Dynex) and get same result - recognizes printer but no print jobs sent to printer. It is definitely online and ready. Printer works fine on another PC. I have loaded, and reloaded both printer and PCI card drivers. The BIOS has never been updated since shipped from G'way in '2000. Can anyone suggest anything? Should I flash the BIOS? Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
The printer should work regardless of the port being 1.1 or 2.0, it will only affect speed (probably not since the printer can't print faster, maybe it will be good for a scanner).
\Is the printer set as the default printer and when you right click it "pause printing" is NOT marked ? -
My Acrobat 8 Pro is failing to print to a pdf from multiple software. I get an error message that a repair fixes but only for a little while. Pretty soon the trial version of 9 that I installed pops up telling me it has expired but it would take me to a way to buy a valid serial number and then 8 stops working again. I’d be happy if the 8 I paid for worked right or I could get 9 for a small cost but I cannot afford $450 or $20/month. I need a permanent solution that I should be already paid for with 8 pro.
After multiple repair procedures with reboot in AA8 I was eventually able to restore the printing to pdf function from various software. However I have again lost my Acrobat tab in Outlook 2007. I need that back, but today an even bigger problem arose. AA8 has stopped printing to fax. It faxes a blank page. The only fax printing option is “Microsoft Shared Fax Driver”. My fax software is “Windows Fax and Scan” and it was working fine just a couple weeks ago. My OS is Windows 7 Professional.
I have tried doing the updates you referred to but I get error messages like these:
“No qualifying products found to apply this update, or update has been already applied”
or
“The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing , or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch.” -

You run Windows in Parallels or Fusion. Then in Windows you install the program.

That DLL is part of your printer driver; reinstall or update the device driver for your printer, and the message should go away.

It means what it says. It's simply old software that doesn't run on contemporary Macs. You need to come up with something else like buying a current version or joining Creative Cloud.
