  • Error when trying to install adf-desktop-integration.

    I developed an integrated workbook using the ADF Desktop Integration technology (JDeveloper 11.1.1.4.0, Microsoft Office 2007, Windows 7)
    One of my users encountered an error when is trying to run the setup for the adf-desktop-integration.
    The steps for his error are the following (he is using Windows XP and Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007):
    - Enable .NET Programmability support from Office installation
    - Run the setup file for adf-desktop-integration. The following error appears in a popup:
    The following solution cannot be loaded because Microsoft Office support for the .Net Framework 3.5 is not installed: adfdi-excel-addin-runtime.vsto.

    The problem is that my user already have installed on his computer the .Net Framework 3.5 SP1.
    In the section "3.5 Installing ADF Desktop Integration" from the link http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E24382_01/web.1112/e16180/inst_conf_dev_env.htm#CHDHJIIG is specified that when the setup tool is run, the following software are installed:
    1. Windows Installer 3.1
    This software I suppose is already installed or the setup tool managed to install it, otherwise I should have an explicit error.
    2. Microsoft .NET Framework
    This software .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 is already installed.
    3. Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for Microsoft Office
    My user already has Visual Studio Tools for the Office system 3.0 Runtime
    Now lets take a look on the same link at the section "3.2 Required Oracle ADF Modules and Third-Party Software". Because my users are using only the Runtime edition of ADF desktop integration they don't need JDeveloper or an Application server.
    Taken in consideration the section "Installing the Runtime Edition of ADF Desktop Integration" from your link, my users are using the adfdi-excel-runtime-client-installer.zip (this file is provided by me and is taken from my installation of Oracle Middleware-11.1.1.4.0).

    I am trying to install any programs and receive same message.  I am on my desktop.  Creative Cloud is a desktop app so you'll want to download it from your computer.

    I had this exact problem too.  I was using Firefox.  I tried again using Internet Explorer, and it worked fine.

    When I click download, i have tried to both Save and Run the installation. It goes through the initializing installer, but then nothing happens. I do not end up with an icon on my desktop.     If your applications are not being listed properly in the Creative Cloud Desktop application then please see CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.html.  The document references several steps which should allow you to resolve your current difficulties.

    I keep getting an error when I try to install the newest version of desktop software. I get Error 1303 that says I have insufficient privileges and to log in as an administrator.
    I am the administrator. I have tried to change ownership of the folder but the Research in Motion folder does not allow me to do so. It is read-only. I tried to give myself full control permissions and it will not let me do so. I tried to delete the Research in motion folder under program files>common files and it does not allow me to do so. I tried to delete the research in motion folder under program files and it didn't let me do that either.
    I am extremely frustrated by this please help!

I pressed OK but after a little while it was clear that BB Desktop sw could not install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 and so installation could not complete. I retried but same thing, and it did not even asked me if I wanted to change installation folder.
    Than I installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 myself but same story, when tried to install, BB Desktop sw asked to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008, I pressed OK but after a little while it was clear that BB Desktop sw could not install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 and so installation could not complete.

  • How to install ADF Desktop Integrator on mac (using jdev 11.1.2.1.0)

    Hi Everyone,
    I got a requirement for my client where they want to use microsoft excel to upload/edit/delete content of one of our ADF application data and we are thinking of using ADF Desktop Integrator option for achieving this. I tried to install ADF Desktop Integrator from my Jdeveloper->Tools->'Install ADF Desktop Integrator' but this option got disabled on my mac. Is there any way to enable it or is it mac not compatible for ADF desktop integrator tool? Also most of my client team members are using mac and hence I cannot ignore mac option and switch to pc.
    Any help or suggestions on this would be very help and appreciated.

    Hi.
    ADF Desktop integration relies on Microsoft .NET and Microsoft Internet Explorer; both are available on Windows only. Thus, ADF Desktop Integration is not available on Apple OS X.

  • Tungsten E2-can't install Palm Desktop 6.2 - Windows 7

    Tried to install Palm Desktop 6.2 on Windows 7 computer so I can down load data on my Palm to desktop computer.
    Before final installation I get the following message:
    "This set-up does not support upgrading from your current installationof Palm OS Desktop."
    Uninstall your current desktop."  Desktop not installed on computer.
    Closed this info box and next box popped up.
    "The wizard was interrupted before Palm Desktop by access could be completed. Your system has not been modified.
    To install this progaram at a later time, please run installation again."
    And finally the following message popped up:
    "The selected Port COM1 is not available at this time. Hot Sync manager will open the port whwn it becomes avaialble."
    Any idea what I can do to get this progarm to load on my new computer?

    Try to "clean" uninstall PD and re-install 6.2. 6.2 has data loss issues, FYI. You can export the data to backup and if the data is lost, import the data to recover.
    You should first make a copy of your data to have just in case something
    happens. You can find your data files by going to Start --> Documents -->
    Palm OS Desktop. Highlight your Palm Desktop username and right click and
    copy. Then go to your PC desktop right click on a blank spot and select paste.
    If this is the first time you are installing Palm desktop and encountering a problem, skip the previous step.
    Now you want to uninstall Palm Desktop and remove everything that has to do
    with Palm Desktop from your computer.
    Go to the following locations on the PC and delete the folders listed below.
    C:\Program Files\Palm or Palm One
    C:\Users\[Vista Login Name]\appdata\local\virtualstore\Program Files\Palm or
    PalmOne
    C:\Users\[Vista Login Name]\appdata
    *Note you may need to view hidden folders to get to appdata. To do that go
    into your control panel and open folder options. Go to view tab and uncheck
    hide hidden files.
    Once this is done you will need to delete some registry keys from your PC Operating System.
    Word of warning, going here and deleting the wrong thing can cause your PC
    from starting up, crashing and deletion of programs and data. If you feel
    you are unsure of yourself, see if you have a friend that can help you or a
    PC technician that you can pay to help you. This procedure will show them everything they need to delete. To make sure we have a good copy of the current registry, we need to do a backup of the Registry.
    Go to start on the PC, in the search field type "regedit.exe" without quotes.
    Highlight COMPUTER, go to File --> Export. Should pop up with a Save As box.
    Current location is fine, should be in My Documents or save to a location you will remember. In the file name on the bottom type "backup[todaysdate]" i.e. backup07072008. Next, the hard part.
    The easiest way to make sure your working with the correct key, highlight the key i.e. palm quick install, and press delete on your keyboard. It will ask you, are you sure. Say yes. Do the same thing for all keys below.
    If you make a mistake, stop what you are doing. And call a PC technician.
    BUT do not turn off your computer.
    The reg keys are as follows (Note: some of theses reg keys will not be here
    but if they are delete them)
    * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\Palm Quick Install
    * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\PalmOne File Transfer
    * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\Pilot Desktop
    * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Palm
    * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Palm, Inc.
    * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PalmDesktopAutorun
    * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\palmOne
    * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PalmSource
    * HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\PalmSource or anything else that says palm
    Next reboot your computer.
    Then reinstall your Palm desktop from the CD and do a hotsync. If it asks
    you for a username, enter the name that is on your device in the upper right corner of the hotsync screen.
    The best way to preserve your data is to export the data in each category in Palm Desktop to a separate folder on your PC.
    Create a new folder on your PC somewhere that is convenient. Name it something like Palm Desktop Data. Click on the link below and follow the instructions on that page for the export procedure.

    Make sure you select all for the range in the export window.
    With the data saved in the folder you created, make a copy of that folder and save to a flash drive, cd-rw or external hard drive.
    Anytime you make a change in Palm Desktop, export the data that was changed to that folder and save again to the external media.
    With this process you can always import the data back into Palm Desktop anytime you have a problem with the data in Palm Desktop or if your computer/hard drive/device crashes.

    In your current network do you currently have a domain controller? You mentioned that you "had" a Domain Controller running Windows Server 2003.
    Am I correct in thinking that you no longer have this server?

    You will need a domain environment which means you'll need a server that is a domain controller, and I believe that it will also need to operate Windows Server 2012 or above. You could, if you wanted, setup a new server (virtual or physical) as a domain
    controller and use that if you wish.

  • Windows 10, unable to install Skype Desktop Version - missing "Agree - next" button

    Good afternoon Community,I got a a new tablette and upgraded streight away from Windows 8 to 10. I tried to install Skype Desktop but do not get further than the screen where to select the language (within the skype installer). In fact, I have an empty grey bar on the bottom of the install which usually contain "Read user conditions" and a bottom "agree conditions and next". As said, the bar is empty, no link for privacy statement and no bottom to proceed. Any suggestions how to solve the issue and install skype desktop (not the Modern Windows version from windows store)? Many thanks

    With the setup running with the gray box, does anything happen when you use a real/virtual keyboard and press enter?  I just upgraded my 10 inch tablet running Windows 8.1 with Bing to Windows 10 Home and I did not run into any issues.

    All updates are installed.

    1. Open “services.msc”, check “Windows Module Installer”, let me know the “startup type” of it.
     2. Change the startup type to “Automatic” if it was not.
    3. Backup and delete the PendingRenames folder and its contents in
    C:\windows\winsxs\temp
     5. Backup and delete the pending.xml file from
    C:\windows\winsxs\ (If any)
    Note: please check this in command line as it was a system/hidden file:
    Dir /a /s 
    C:\windows\winsxs\pending.xml
    Base on my experience it some times occur when System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection installed on 
    the server. After uninstall Endpoint the feature successfully installed, then reinstall the Endpoint.
