Trying to install Elements

How do I download a previously purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 from a CD on my new HP computer without a disc drive? I have a serial number for it. I really don't want to buy it again. Can anyone help?

Which version of Photoshop Elements are you trying to install?
Are you installing from DVD or a download?
If DVD, make sure you are using the Windows one, not the MAC one.
What device are you trying to install on?
Does your system meet the required spec?
Are you on Windows 8 or Windows 8.1?

yes, there's a popup that allows a direct download. or dl from prodesigntools.com
if you follow all 7 steps you can directly download a trial here: Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 Direct Download Links, Premiere too | ProDesignTools
and activate with your serial number.
if you have a problem starting the download, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.
the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (eg, current) version.

To get Photo Elements to Install when getting an ERROR 7 on a Macintosh:
After Hours of Internet searches and a few more hours with the Adobe Call Center in India…
Set Permissions to “Read and Write” in Get Info to “Everyone” for the
/Library/Fonts
/Library /Preferences
/User/Library/Preferences
/Applications
Then “Apply” to “Enclosed Folders”
Uninstall Adobe Air, then Reinstall it
Rename these two folders.
Mac HD>library>app support>Adobe>caps
>>>BUT FIRST delete media.db file under caps
Mac HD>library>app support>Adobe>backup
Move any offending font families OUT of the /Library/FONT Folder to the Trash (they will be auto-reinstalled during the installation)
Log out, then Log back in as ROOT user.
Then install off your CD or downloadable install file.
I hope this saves the next poor guy or gal the hours and hassle…

And obviously you're able to type alpha outside of entering the redemption code, since you're typing here.
The only other thing I can think of is that maybe they have some 1's that look like l's, and 0's that look like o's. If one of those is actually a starting numeric character and you're typing it as alpha, it might not work.
If that's not the case, then I would restart the computer and try again.

I had this problem. There are actually two boxes. The outside one with the photos and stuff and glued into it is another box containing the disks. That box has the serial number. Adobe was NO help with this as if no one else ever could not find it. I had to rip open the outer box.

I am trying to install Elements 12, but it continues to download Elements 10, which I already have. I have uninstalled 10, but it still does the same thing! I have bought 12 but only have the licence key

I have bought Elements 12 as a download and have a key, but cannot install it because the download assistant keeps trying to install Elements 10! I tried uninstalling elements 10, which I do have on my computer, but it does not seem to make any difference. What can I do?

Trying to install elements 13 on my i mac.

Hi.
I purchased elements 13 from a leading department store. Tried to install, get an error message saying two things 1. That the software is damaged or corrupted. 2. That the software can not be downloaded as it is not recognised, only software downloaded from the app store can pass the machines security system. I have upgraded the i mac to Yosemite recently, is this part of the problem? There seems to be a conflict between the two reasons in the dialogue box? Any clues!!

I think App Store only is the default setting for Gatekeeper but you can change prefs to allow download from anywhere.
Gatekeeper options are found in Apple menu >> System Preferences… >> Security & Privacy >> General tab under the header "Allow applications downloaded from:"
