Trying to install Forms 11.1.2.00.
Hello,
As a home user, I am not in Oracle Support,
I have Windows 7 Home Edition, and I am trying to install Forms 11.1.2.00.
I have installed JDK 1.6 update 35…
first install Weblogic ( wls1035_generic.jar ) ok
Then Forms.ok
Then configure Forms (for deployment )
My problem is that it has stucked to “Restarting AdminServer” Step 11 of 12
Creating Managed Server: WLS_FORMS Success
Creating Managed Server: WLS_REPORTS Success
Deploying Enterprise Manager Success
Restarting AdminServer In Progress............
My PATHS environmental variables do not have spaces.
Any ideas?

Solution
Reinstalled Windows XP in the workstation.

i am trying to install weblogic so i can install forms. the weblogic is asking for a selection of jdk files but there are none to select. any ideas? i just went to the sun site and downloaded java to my desktop to install the weblogic. was that wrong? any help greatly appreciated.
As you "obviously" try to install the 64bit version of forms did you also use a 64 bit JDK when installing the generic weblogic package? If you used the JDK of the XE database on Windows this should be a 32bit variant as 11gXE is only available in a 32bit bundle for windows.
Reading the certification matrix for e.g. windows 7 64bit here

it states that you need a 64bit JDK for the 64bit variant.

Problem in Installing Forms 6i on Pentium 4 Machine

I tried to install forms 6i on my Pentium 4 machine but I was not
successful. Later I come to know that for doing this I need a patch
to be installed. i searched the whole oracle and intel site but I
could not get it. If any one else have come with similair problem and
get the patch then please tell me the site address and path from
where I can download the patch.

Sunil Kumar(OCP-DBA)Are you talking about a Forms patch or the JInitiator patch ? Do a search for JInitiator and P4 and find your way to www.sun.com for the JRE patch you need for P4's. Or get Forms 9i.

Problem in Installing Forms 6i in Oracle 8

I am a home user and at the moment studying for OCP Oracle Forms Developer Rel. 6/6i and I really need some good help.
I have some problem in the Installing the Orcale Forms 6i, I have already installed WinNT4 (Server) and Oracle 8.
SO far I have tried to Install Forms 6i four times but I failed. Due to this reason every time I had to also Uninstall the Oracle 8
from my system, because it started to give problems.
OK THIS IS THE PROBLEM :
When I installed Oracle 8, the user name was <system> and the password was <manager> in the SQL Plus. I used it for few times and worked fine. But when I installed the Oracle Developer 6i the SQL Plus didn't accepted the same user name and the password. I tried many commands that I could find in the Oracle documentations (On the CD) but so far nothing.
Need some command or any thing to over write the system so I can change the user name and password.
Plus when I use turn on my computer and run WINNT 4 (server) I get message that I have some problem in Oracle80.exe file and due to that my system hangs for couple of minutes.
I also want the sample tables, but I don't know the particular command for SQL *PL by which I can get the sample tables.
Please help me by suggesting what shall I do.

Installation Procedure
Follow this procedure to install Developer 6.0 and Oracle 8i on the same physical machine in separate ORACLE_HOMEs on NT:

Installing Forms 11g 64bit on Windows Server 2008 64bit
Hi,
we are trying to install Forms 11g 64 bit with WebLogic 64bit on windows Server 2008 64bit and followed the short checklist of Jan Carlin :
- installed JDK 64bit
- installed WLS1032-generic
- started installation of Forms/Reports
Installation of Software worked fine and the configuration part did create the domain, but starting the domain fails (hang).

Somewhere I've read that the reason might be that the installation uses 32bit JDK, but I don't know if I did something wrong.
Somewhere else I've read that the reason could be the Path setting, which may include some directories with emphasis in the name which might be a problem for Weblogic.
Any idea or help is appreciated.

This is related to Oracle-Bug 9370799 which hopefulls get sorted out sometimes. Having "(" or ")" somewhere in the PATH is not working. The workaround til the Bug is solved as of support is :

1) Remove the directory with "(" ")" from the System Path at install time only (this is what you have already performed)
2) Roll back the change so the System Path contains again the directory path with parenthesis
3) Copy in the clipboard the current PATH value and edit the <Middleware Home>\wlserver_10.3\common\bin\commEnv.cmd file and look for the following line:
if "%WL_USE_X86DLL%" == "true" set PATH=%PATCH_PATH%;%WL_HOME%\server\native\win\32;%WL_HOME%\server\bin;%ANT_HOME%\bin;%JAVA_HOME%\jre\bin;%JAVA_HOME%\bin;%PATH%;%WL_HOME%\server\native\win\32\oci920_8
4) Before this line define PATH to value you have in the clipboard without the reference to the directory with "(" and ")"
5) Save the commEnv.cmd and you should be able to start up your domain having the directory containing the "(" and ")" in the System Path

Error when installing Form Manager.
Hi all,
I'm trying to install Form Manager v. 7.0.1. When I run the configuration manager, the progress gets to 12% then displays the error code "LCMerror101" with the message "Livecycle module pdfagent-client could not be copied to working directory".
Does anyone know what this error means? How can I work around it?
I know the issue isn't related to disk space (20+ gigs free) and I'm using the administrator account to install. Any suggestions or tidbits of info would be much appreciated.

Error installing Forms/Reports Server on linux m/c having EBS R12 installed

We are trying to install Forms and Reports server (Oracle Application Server 10gR2 (10.1.2.0.2) Forms and Reports Services) on a linux x86 box. The box already has Oracle E-business Suite R12 running on it. Our end goal is to install Oracle Transport Management (OTM), which requires Oracle Forms and Reports server to run its reports. When installing Forms and Report server I am getting following error. During installation, I gave a different set of ports to be used by Oracle Forms/Reports Apps server (and not the default) in staticports.ini and ensured that those ports are available. Any idea what could be the issue. If the issue is due to port conflict, how do I find which is the conflicting port. Also, is it possible to re-use Oracle Applications' Forms/Reports server for other applications like OTM.

After a lot of searches, it was necessary a help from a Weblogic Administrator to find out what was going on with the installation process. The problem was with the memory allocation to the Weblogic VM. The process EMGC_OMS1 could not be started cos it was not possible to create a VM into SERVERADMIN.
With just my DB experience I could not find any logs besides emctl.log and that one that it's shown in OEM Installler interface. The Weblogic Administrator was browsing the HOME where the Weblogic was installed and he found logs that showed the error telling where the problem was. Even downloading the OEM 12c 32bit, it was allocated memory to the java as if it was 64bit. The solution was decreasing the values of memory and clicking in Retry. So, my OEM Cloud Control 12c it's working now.

Create domain failure when installing forms 11gr2
I am trying to install forms 11gr2(11.1.2) 64 bit on a windows 7 64 bit OS. I have installed JDK 1.6.0_31 64 bit Java. I installed WLS 10.3.5 and did not run the quickstart or da any configuration. I installed forms 11gr2 without configuration option. When completed installing forms 11gr2 I went to start bar and selected configure classic instance. I select the defaults and it tries to configure. I keep getting failed when trying to create domain. I checked various articles and most have pointed to spaces in path statement. I ave created to junctions to Program Files and Program Files (x86). I changed the path statement and any other system variable that pointed to one of those directories. As a side note, I reboot everytime I make a change. The following is the last part of the log file showing the actual error.

Any help is appreciated as I have been trying to install the 64 bit forms and report developer products for a few weeks and keep receiving the same error. I have tried other versions, forms 11.1.1.2 and WLS 10.3.2, with the same results. Thanks in advance.I only have the 127.0.0.1 localhost entry uuncommented in the hosts file. Here is a copy of the .out file from the log directory as it might help for those more knowledgeable than myslef.

How can I Install Forms Central? Adobe site is not installing it...
I tried to install Forms Central from the Adobe website by clicking the orange Download Button and then I saw the comments below the button saying "please wait while the application installs" but I've now waited three hours and tried three times and still nothing.
Can you send me the exe file to make sure I can install this?

Install Forms 6i to work with existing 8i setup
I am trying to install Forms 6i for use with an existing 8i Enterprise setup. When I ran the installation I was prompted for a new home. I specified a new home and Forms 6i was succesfully installed into this home. I wish to now use Procedure Builder and other Forms tools with the 8i database. When I am prompted to login to the database I specify my login and password and supply the 8i database name. I get an error TNS: could not resolve service name. What can I do to fix this?

TRYING to install Oracle Forms 6i w/ PO8i... please advise
Hi, I currently have Personal Oracle 8i installed on an HP Pavilion Win98. I have taken a class called Personal Oracle and have bought a few books and have been learning SQL, SQL Plus, and trying PL/SQL. However, I also want to learn some development skills and have tried to install Oracle Forms 6i (the version I have is for 95/98/NT, so at least I know I have the correct platform compatability). When I try to install Forms I'm getting 'missing file' errors that prevent the installation. Does the Oracle Home 'Name' and 'Location' have to be the same as the Personal Oracle installation, do they need to be different? Everything I'm doing for now will be done entirely on this machine, so location of data is not an issue. These are the files missing when I try to install:

rsf73.map
cdesql60.map
I had the 'cdesql60.map' missing file error first. Then I did a couple of other things (don't know what the heck I did) and then I get the 'rsf73.map' error, then the 'jre11.map' error. I tried using the universal installer but there seems to be no 'products.jar' file on the Forms 6i disc.
Can anyone please help me figure out how to get this Forms disc installed?!

has anyone ever had their apple ipod disappear from the computer? Mine did when I tried to install a newer version on my pC (vista), yesterday. Now I can't even see any apple icons on the screen or any other reference to my ipod tunes. I have had them on the computer for more than 6-years, and have spent a sizeable sum with apple buying iTunes. Help!
One more note. All my music on my iPhone was erased when I clicked on "Transfer Music from iPhone". I mistook the "from" for "to". I want the music to go from the PC to the iPhone, not the other way around. I've sync'ed many times since the latest version of iTunes, so I know that doesn't work.

Can't read or write some files, internet is failing, youtube won't load, security software I tried to install was in Slovenian, not dutch or english like in my systempreferences settings, pictures and files won't preview with spacebar and are randomly corrupted, when I entered something in the Youtube searchbar (when it was still working) it send me to a site with sexadds.
I tried restart my iMac and when I was logged back in, my dock preferences were reset.
Also tried to download some security software to check my Mac for malware, but when I did, I tried several, I got a notification that said something like 'dumpfiles (don't know if this is the right translation...) damaged'.
I'm taking screenshots from all the weird notifications I get and even three quarters off the screenshots I took in the last three hours are already unreadable.
It started this morning when I tried opening a Premiere Pro file on which I worked the night before.
When I tried opening it, it said the file was damaged and could not be openend.
I tried opening it with AE or importing the file in a new project but nothing helped.
When I tried looking for autosaves, this is the really weird part, there were none.
Even though there are autosaves from my other projects, this one was completely gone.
It looked like the day before never happened on my computer.
Also when I openend Premiere all the recent projects had been wiped.
So at first I thought it was a Premiere Pro failure.
But than, later on the day, I tried loading some RAW files from my compact flash card.
This is where I would get an error (error -36) which said some data cannot be read or written.
I tried importing the files with a view different technics, from dragging to importing via Lightroom and I succeeded with Image Browser.
But when I tried moving the files to an other folder the same error occurred.
While dealing with this issue I wanted to put on some soothing music on youtube.
This is when the next weird thing occurred: youtube wasn't completely loading in Chrome. I refreshed a view times, checked the internet connection and still no difference.
When I tried in Safari it did work but when I clicked enter on the searchbar in Youtube, a page with sexadds appeared (I didn't install AdBlock in Safari...).
I read about this 'phishing' where you are redirected to a site were a possible malware installment can take place...
I don't know if it's connected to any of the problems I've been having but I just never experienced this on a mac, I have been a Mac user for 10 years now.
On top of it all, internet started working worse and worse and now it's not even working at all. I had to fill in the password over and over, normally it remembers.
Just like my system preferences, all the preferences I had with Chrome where also reset.
Also somewhere in between I got this notification: Mac OS X must restore library to run programs. Type your password to allow.
To me this is all very weird and suspicious. I have clearly no idea what's going on. Could this be another sort of trojan horse or malware?
Some background info which could be helpful for solving this mystery:
two months ago the one year old Fusion Drive in my iMac just broke out of nowhere.
I got it replaced by a qualified apple repair store.
When I got my computer back, all the files where gone.
I got on the internet without AdBlock installed yet.
A game or whatever it was, can't clearly remember, got installed by accident.
I deleted it immediately.
Only two weeks later, I couldn't log in to my account. It didn't recognize my password and username.
So I brought my mac back to the store.
Here the repair guy said it was a minor thing and he just needed to reconnect my account. He also mentioned he found a downloaded game name Sparta and it probably had something to do with the error.
I asked him; could it be a virus? He replied no way.
I don't know why I couldn't be a virus, just because it's a mac doesn't mean it cannot be done.
So today I tried installing anti virus software (such as avast- was in a weird language looked like slovenian, clamxav - was in slovenian) but I couldn't install them.
PLEASE help me! I don't know what to do anymore, I work fulltime and I need my computer, I have no time to bring it in for repair, are there other perhaps easier ways?
Could this be the work of a virus or a malware? Or is it a disk permissions issue?It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:

If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

1) I attempted to install 8.1.6 client first in c:\oracle\ora81, then Forms 6 in c:\oracle\forms6. The installer (3.3.1.2.4) errors, saying forms 6 does not support a multi-home installation.
2) Attmpted to install Forms 6 first in c:\orant. Then installed 8.1.6 client in c:\oracle\ora81. After beginning installation (application user) the following Dependency message displays and the installation is canceled: "Installation cannot continue for the follwoing reason(s). [Oracle ODBC Driver is a single Oracle home product. It is already installed in location c:\oracle\ora81. Oracle provider for OLE DB is a single oracle home product. It is already installed in location c:\oracle\ora81. Oracle objects for OLE is a .... Pracle Provider for OLE is a single home ... You can either de-install these products or install the products in the same location as the single home products."
Click ok and the installation cancels.
How do I install these two products on the same box?We had to upgrade from 7.3.2 to 7.3.4 when we moved over to Forms
6.0.5.0.2 and it's working fine.
We are using Net 8 as well.

Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.Same issue here... Been trying to get this working since a week now. I tried all the solutions like memory heap and all but no luck.
One thing that I would like to know is that, in some threads the resolution was to recompile the INS_FORMS.MK file under /forms/lib32 but with my installation I don't have that "lib32" folder under /forms/ and I can not even find that file anywhere in my entire installation.
I am using 12.1.1 on Windows Server 2008.
Any help or guidelines is greatly appreciated.
