Trying to install HP Deskjet 2050 to Mac (OS Mavericks) to Print but not printing.

Hi,
I followed the instructions on the page about installng my printer (HP Deskjet 2050 J510 series) and when I try to print, nothing shows up in the queue.
When I had previously tried installing using the CD, I got the error message that the printer is not supported by this new operating system (mavericks.)
Can someone please help?
Thanks.

Hi DMKL,
Please visit the www.hp.com and search for  HP Deskjet 2050 All-in-One Printer - J510a and select drivers and you can select the Mac OS X 10.9.5. and select next ... below you will get the Driver product installation software link please click on the + sign on the left side and there would be a download option. please uninstall and reinstall the software from the web and it should resolve the issue.

    HI,
Sorry to say that there is no HP software for this printer on os 10.5 as 10.6 is the lowest system supported.

  • I'm trying to install photoshop elem. 10. serial # worked on disc 1 but not 2. help!

i have 3 discs. i installed the 1st one and used my serial # fine and it accepted it. i inserted disc 2 and tried the exact same serial # again and after several attempts, nothing. it kept saying invalid. i went on my account to literally copy and paste the number from my account into the box and it still wouldn't accept it. after that, i'm stumped and don't know what to do. can someone help me?

You could try installing by download instead of using the disks.  You can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

I am trying to install a program on my Mac Book Pro Retina from a Apple SuperDrive. Every time I run the installer, it says I do not have enough memory to install. However, I definitely have enough memory (186.74 GB). The program takes only 550 MB. Any ideas why?

Thanks for the clarification on the terms. I consider myself proficent at my computer, but not exactly in its inner-workings! I have 8 GB of memory installed.
I am still confused as to why I do not have any space for the program. This is the exact error message I get: "There is not enough free space on Macintosh HD disk. The Print Shop 2 application requires about 550 MB to be installed. Free some disk space and try again."
Thank you again for your help.

  • Trying to install MS Office 2011 for Mac SP 2 on my Macbook Air (Lion 10.7.3). I have to close Microsoft Database Daemon and SyncServicesAgent but can not see how to do so.  I have closed all applications.  Can anyone help? Many thanks

Trying to install MS Office 2011 for Mac SP 2 (14.2.0) on my Macbook Air (Lion 10.7.3). I have to close Microsoft Database Daemon and SyncServicesAgent but can not see how to do so.  I have closed all applications.  Can anyone help? Many thanks

Thanks Kurt!  I had tried all that and had tried closing both programmes from the application monitor, but SyncServices Agent refused to close.  I tried closing Launchd which is their mother application, but that just caused the screen go go blank.  In the end the two programmes let themselves be closed next time I tried the installation process so all was well.  Thanks for your help!

  • HT1338 I have HP LaserJet 200 colorMFP M276nw and trying to install the driver on my mac pro; it gives me the error message that the driver is not available.

    Hi,
I have HP LaserJet 200 colorMFP M276nw and trying to install the driver on my mac pro; it gives me the error message that the driver is not available.

Typically this is caused by the internal list of compatible devices in the Mac being out of date.  All you should need to do is disconnect the printer from the Mac, run Apple Software Update (even if there are no updates, the list will still update), restart the Mac, connect the printer to the Mac, and add the print queue.  If that doesn't work, let me know.

  • Trying to install Windows 7 on my mac pro

Trying to install Windows 7 on my mac pro.  I'm running 10.6, I have boot camp 3.04 and after I partition and install the disc (using 32bit) it restarts automatically and freezes on a black screen.  I have updated my software so what should I do?  Thanks.

A., Use 64-bit for sure. You have too much RAM and hardware and VRAM
    B. Put Windows 7 Pro 64-bit SP1, you have a dual processor you need Pro.
    C. A dedicated drive for Windows.
    D. At least 50GB
    E. most important, pull all drives out and leave in just the drive Windows will install onto.

  • I am trying to install Firefox 4 on my Mac OS 10.5.8 and I get the error message "You cannot open the application "Firefox" because it is not supported on this architecture" Help!

I am trying to install Firefox 4 on my Mac OS 10.5.8 and I get the error message "You cannot open the application "Firefox" because it is not supported on this architecture" Help!

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. There is a third party version of Firefox 4 that runs on OS X 10.4/10.5 and PPC Macs, for details see http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox
If you prefer, you can get the latest version of Firefox 3.6 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
Mozilla are working to prevent Mac users with non-compatible systems from getting the notification about Firefox 4, and also not displaying the "Download Firefox 4" button on http://www.mozilla.com

  • My hard drive went out one of my Macs and I am trying to install logic studio on another Mac but the serial number is invalid. What are my options?

My hard drive went out one of my Macs and I am trying to install logic studio on another Mac but the serial number is invalid. What are my options?

Check that the serial you are using is the correct one..
Typically the problem is either you are misreading the serial and therefore typing it in wrong. Check you are correctly entering zeros or O.. and so on....
    or...
You bought the LP9 upgrade version.... which requires the LP8 full serial as well.
If it is the LP9 upgrade serial.. (and not the LP9 full serial) you must enter your original LP8 full serial first and then the upgrade serial for LP9.. when it asks for it.
Failing that.. you can obtain a replacement serial from Apple.. using this form.....

  • Trying to install adobe flash player onto mac using internet explorer 5.2 for mac.

Trying to install adobe flash player onto mac using internet explorer 5.2 for mac.  But the page that I need keeps telling me that Adobe Flash Player still needs to be installed.  I've downloaded AFP several times, and I see it installed correctly on my mac, but the same error message keeps coming up.  All of the support that I see is either for mac or for Internet Explorer, but not for both and not for the version of Internet Explorer that I am using.  Please help.  Thank you.

Wow, IE for Mac is pretty old.  What Mac OS are you using?  I'm 99% sure you're going to need an older version of the Player, but I'll need to know the OS version to figure out which one.

  • Trying to install Leopard server on my Mac mini

I'm a registered Apple Select Developer and I'm trying to install Leopard Server on a Mac mini I just picked up the other day. Is there a way to do this using the image or do I have to burn a DVD in order to do the install? The image is over 5GB's so I'd need to get a dual layer disk.

Is this just for a test?
If so you can create 3 partitions, one a bootable volume the second partition a place to restore the Leopard image and the third partition to install the new software you restored on the second partition. You do loose two small volumes temporarily, but you can make them relatively small since these are only used for installation purposes. The details can be found on the developer site under " leopardclient_9a377a_seednote.rtf".
I've done this on older machines with no CD players installed.

  • I am trying to install Lion OS X over Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8

I am trying to install Lion OS X over Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8
I get an error message: "There are currently other logged in users who must be logged out before you install Mac OS X".
I switch to log out other users and deleted everyone listed. It still says: ....
There is no one else left. I don't know what to do now.
    Bill

I don't know what you mean by "I switch to log out other users and deleted everyone listed" -- if other user accounts are on your Mac you just need to log them out, not delete anything -- but it may be that there are other user accounts you aren't aware of on the Mac.
Are you an admin user? Did you originally set up this Mac?
